Soo, what's the point of sending out? I have no choice. I send them all out.

That's more like it xD

Ein use Ice punch on Diglett repeadly, make sure it doesn't go underground. Serene I want you to burn Bulbasaur to a crisp with Fire punch and use toxic on the Diglett. StarLight use Tackle on Ralts, but if it dodges by using double team use Take down as soon as you find the real one.

Ein- Ice Punch@Digglet~Ice Punch@Digglet~Ice Punch@Digglet
Serene-Fire Punch@Bulbasuar~Fire Punch@Bulbasuar~Toxic@Diglett
StarLight-Tackle/Take Down@Ralts~Tackle/Take Down@Ralts~Tackle/Take Down@Ralts

it helps a lot with teamwork xD

Alright, Diglett, you've got superior speed, so just go underground and stay there! Then, dig out a big area a bit down the first tunnel, to make a space for attacks to die off if shot down there! Finally, make a tunnel very close to poking out of the ground, but not noticeably, in case one of them uses an attack down there!

Dig underground ~ Dig out a hole ~ Create an alternate exit

Now Bulbasaur, just keep using Sleep Powder on the Eevee, StarLight! If one of them gets too close to you, use Razor Leaf on em'! If one falls asleep, then continue attacking, but focus on the sleeping one!

Sleep Powder/Razor Leaf ~ Sleep Powder/Razor Leaf ~ Sleep Powder/Razor Leaf

Ralts, use a similar strategy! Keep using Hypnosis on Ein, and if a Pokémon gets too near to you, blast it with a Magical Leaf! If one falls asleep, then continue attacking, but focus on the sleeping one!

Round 1

In the middle of a field of short grass waving gently in the wind, two trainers stand facing each other, taking advantage of the pristine environment and perfect weather to engage in a rather unusual battle… Each of the two trainers, after exchanging some pre-battle banter, reach for their pokéballs, select three each, and toss them all at once into the space between them. As the bright light of the pokéballs disgorging their contents subsides, the humans’ teams are revealed: On Ridous’s side of the field are two tiny ralts – one, the male, looks around curiously in a detached manner, while the female looks almost bored – along with an excited-looking eevee. Lucas755 also has a ralts, who is flanked on one side by a grinning bulbasaur, on the other by the head of a diglett, inexplicably half-buried underground the instant he was released. Ralts looks back at his trainer uncertainly – three opponents at once wasn’t really something he’d been expecting – while his teammates keep their eyes on Ridous’s team, who tense up as the first commands are given…

Diglett, quite happy with his instructions, takes action immediately; before anyone else on either team can do anything, the little mole pokemon’s head pops out of sight, leaving a tiny hole in the ground where it once was. Diglett hums cheerfully to himself as he digs down, happy to be away from the glaring sunlight and surrounded by his natural element; after he reaches a fair distance beneath the surface, he levels off and rests for a moment, attempting to discern through vibrations in the ground what is going on above him.

About a second after her teammate disappeared underground, Bulbasaur makes her move. Stepping forward, she takes aim at StarLight with the bulb on her back; the leaves of the bulb part slightly at the top, and a stream of sparkling powder issues from it. The light breeze blows the powder directly into StarLight’s face, and the eevee, though attempting to hold her breath, inadvertently inhales a good portion of the floating spores. Almost immediately her eyelids start to droop; she tries to move to attack Ralts, but her body feels lethargic and heavy, and she can’t help but lay down on the ground, resting her head on her paws. I’ll just rest my eyes for a second, she thinks distractedly…

Ralts, while still looking a little apprehensive about the whole thing, seems to gain some confidence as he watches StarLight drift off to sleep, her breathing soft and regular. Determined to do just as well as his teammate, he seeks out Ein, trying to lock eyes with him. The other male ralts catches his gaze, looking vaguely interested in the battle so far; as Ralts raises his head and stares at the other with eyes now glowing faintly red, however, Ein finds himself feeling inexplicably exhausted. Realizing what the other ralts is doing even as he loses consciousness, Ein merely gives Ralts a slight approving nod before dropping to the ground, snoring lightly. Ralts has no time to celebrate his victory however; almost immediately he finds his own body feeling sluggish and unresponsive as Ein’s natural synchronizing ability forces his body to align with his opponent’s. Ralts struggles to stay awake, but ultimately joins Ein and StarLight in peaceful sleep.

Serene looks at the two slumbering ralts, and shakes her head disdainfully. Boys, she thinks. I could’ve told them that was going to happen. Looking around at the sleeping eevee on her side and the hole where the diglett was, she realizes that, less than a minute into the battle, the conditions seem to have changed to a traditional one-on-one match. Works for me, she thinks with a smirk, and turns to face her only remaining opponent. Rushing as fast as she can towards Bulbasaur, she psychically initiates a spontaneous combustion reaction in the air around her left hand, wreathing it in flames. Bulbasaur cries out in pain as the little ralts’s fiery punch connects with her face, backing away quickly as the flames burn her skin. She glares at Serene, who meets her gaze confidently, giggling a little at the black burn marks on the bulbasaur’s face.

The sudden noise seems to rouse StarLight – she jerks awake with a start and gets to her feet, blinking in confusion as she sees the two male ralts lying on the ground and Bulbasaur glaring daggers at Serene. A little uncoordinated from her brief enforced nap, she decides to ignore them for now and just do what her trainer says. To that end, she runs toward the prone form of Ralts (at least, she hopes it’s him and not Ein – she aims toward the one on Lucas’s side of the field, anyway), and leaps forward in a flying tackle, slamming him into the ground and standing over him, looking triumphant. When all Ralts does is just mutter something unintelligible and shift to get more comfortable in the ralts-shaped indentation in the ground, StarLight slinks off, looking a bit disappointed at the lack of reaction.

Meanwhile, several feet below all this action, Diglett gets back to work. Digging swiftly through the soil with his front claws and packing it into walls with his rear ones, the mole pokemon has soon widened the area at the bottom of his little tunnel into a small cave wide enough for him to stay out of the way of any attacks that may be able to make it down his tunnel. Diglett sighs in contentment, feeling calm and at peace in the dark, enclosed space.

Back on the surface, Bulbasaur’s attention remains directed at Serene – hoping to wipe that infuriating grin off the female ralts’s face, she briefly shakes the bulb on her back, releasing a cloud of small green leaves into the air around her. The leaves suddenly halt in midair before they can flutter to the ground, then shoot forward at high velocity. StarLight and Ein are both caught on the edges of the attack – the former yelps in pain while the latter twitches a little, but remains asleep – but Serene is their main target; she cries out as the leaves’ razor-sharp edges slice into her like throwing knives, leaving a network of thin bleeding cuts all over her body. Scowling, she ignites her hand once again and rushes forward into the flurry – her hastiness costs her, as she rushes straight into one particularly sharp leaf that flies under her “helmet” and slices a deep gash in her forehead. Undeterred, she makes her way to Bulbasaur and strikes again with her flaming fist, this time catching the grass-type in the side; Bulbasaur quickly backs away, hissing angrily at the burning pain.

Diglett is starting to wonder just what the heck is going on up there, but is perfectly happy to wait underground a bit longer. He begins to dig another tunnel, aiming it beyond the area where he can feel the vibrations of battle – he doesn’t want to pop up and accidentally get in the way of a hyper beam or something. He stops at only a few inches away from the surface, where he waits patiently for further instructions. Meanwhile, Bulbasaur sends out another flurry of razor leaves at her opponents. Again, Serene takes the brunt of the blow, but none of the leaves manage to leave as deep a wound as she received from the first batch, for which she is grateful as she reaches a hand under her helmet to wipe away a trickle of blood that was getting in her eyes. She starts looking around for Diglett, hoping he’ll have come back up when she was distracted; at the same time, StarLight delivers another rushing tackle to the slumbering Ralts, who continues to fail to awaken. Ein, though sporting a few cuts from the razor leaves, also remains in peaceful sleep. Serene, annoyed that the diglett is failing to show himself, summons up a batch of horrible toxins into her mouth and swishes them around, mixing them together before spitting them out at a random patch of ground, hoping that by some luck it will make it through to its intended target. Unfortunately, all that the dark goopy poison accomplishes is killing a small circle of grass before losing its potency and dissolving into nothing, and Serene is left trying to get the horrible taste out of her mouth.

The first Razor Leaf was a critical hit on Serene.
Both Razor Leaves did less damage to StarLight and Ein because they were focused at Serene.

There are two small tunnels leading down to a small hollowed-out area about five feet underground. The area is large enough for something the size of a diglett to move around in, but not much else will fit.
A small circle of grass is dead and withered.

Lucas755 attacks first.

Okay guys, overall, we're doing better, so let's try to keep it that way!

Oh, Ralts, I forgot Synchronize! At least you're both still asleep... At any rate, use Sleep Talk twice, then try Psychic on StarLight. I could give you something conditional, but something about those Choice Specs makes you not understand them.

Sleep Talk ~ Sleep Talk ~ Psychic(StarLight)

Okay, Bulbasaur, I want you to stay relatively near to Ralts during this round as a marker for Diglett. First, try using Razor Leaf on Serene. Then, use Poisonpowder on StarLight. Then, wrap it up with a Growth.

Razor Leaf(Serene) ~ Poisonpowder(Starlight) ~ Growth

Okay, Diglett, here's your strategy! Every action, pop up from a place relatively far away from the fighting, but close enough to see. Use Earth Power on the Pokémon closest to using an attack. If none of them are, use it on Ein. Do not attack the Ralts next to Bulbasaur - he's on our side.

Okay Serene, I know you might not like it but you gotta wake Ein up with a kiss NOW. After he wakes up throw him at the Bulbasaur, and if the diglett is still using Earth Power, us Psychic and fling it at the enemy Ralts, but if it doesn't show up thanks the StarLight, use Shadow Ball at Ralts.

Ein if you finally wake up, AFTER Serene throws you I want you to do to combo Ice Punches on the Bulbasaur, but if it dodges run at it with the combo.

StarLight, I want you to disrupt the Digletts sences by digging around the entire battle area, if you somehow find diglett, bite it like no tomarrow >:D

Though he would prefer to stay in the dark tunnel where he feels so much more at home, Diglett dutifully obeys the call from his trainer and digs his way through the little remaining earth separating him from the surface. He pokes his head out of the ground a few feet off from where the other pokemon are, blinking rapidly as his sensitive eyes adjust to the sunlight. Once he can see clearly, he looks over at the main battlefield, and sees two ralts lying unconscious on the ground, another holding a hand to a bleeding head wound and wearing a disgusted expression, a confused-looking eevee, and his grinning bulbasaur partner.

Geez, what’d I miss?

Shaking his head, Diglett gets his attention back to current issues. No one really seems to be readying any attacks, so he takes aim at the sleeping ralts on Ridous’s side of the field, assuming that it’s probably his opponent. Closing his eyes, he focuses on the earth encompassing his lower body, feeling its deep, enduring strength suffusing his body. Summoning up this power, he directs it forward through the ground. An ominous tremor under everyone’s feet accompanies the release of power, attracting the attention of the three other conscious pokemon, but nothing seems to happen… until the ground on which Ein rests suddenly and violently explodes. The ralts is blasted into the air, pummeled viciously by stone, dirt, and the raw power of the earth; he slams back to earth like a limp rag doll, looking badly battered and bruised, and, inexplicably, still sound asleep.

Satisfied, Diglett pops his head back into his hole, protecting himself from retribution. StarLight, however, took note of his position beforehand, and quickly begins digging into the ground, aiming herself toward where she saw Diglett’s head disappear. Fairly soon she has managed to dig a nice tunnel of her own, and she disappears headfirst into the ground, continuing to dig as she goes. At about two feet under she stops to rest for a moment, trying to keep Diglett’s location fixed in her mind. At around the same time, Bulbasaur sends a batch of razor leaves at Serene once again, and the female ralts takes the hit with an angry cry, waiting for the leaves to stop slicing at her to make her move. Before she can do anything, however, both she and Bulbasaur are distracted by Ralts suddenly standing up.

The suddenly vertical Ralts does not acknowledge them, and seems to still be asleep. Head nodding forward limply, he begins muttering something incoherent, and stumbles forward as though sleepwalking. Bulbasaur backs cautiously out of the way as his mumbling grows steadily louder, and his right hand is suddenly covered with an icy sheen, sucking heat from the air around it. Ralts stumbles along in a stupor, swinging his frost-covered fist around randomly; finally, it connects with the only other pokemon currently staying in one place – Ralts almost trips over Ein, but manages to get in a point-blank punch on the other ralts that leaves a thin coating of ice where it hits. His mumbling suddenly ceases, and he drops immediately to the ground, right beside Ein, the both of them still slumbering away.

Now that that’s over with, Serene makes ready to attack, hoping to do some serious damage now… but… WHAT?! Her trainer wants her to… what… how’s that going to…

EEEWWWW!

Still, orders are orders, and so Serene shudders (very overdramatically, as though to emphasize to everyone watching that this is totally not her decision and goes against everything she stands for) and walks over to where the two males are laying. Bulbasaur, following her own orders to stay close to Ralts, watches her approach with a grin, sniggering at her overblown reaction to such a simple thing. Serene pointedly ignores the bulbasaur as she reaches Ein; bending down, she puts on an expression of utmost revulsion before leaning over him and giving him a very, very quick kiss on the cheek.

“Aawwwwww…” Bulbasaur coos innocently, provoking another glare from Serene as she backs away and lifts a hand to wipe off her mouth. She looks down at Ein angrily, hoping that the… action… had at least had the desired effect… But Ein doesn’t show any reaction at all, further provoking the ire of his teammate.

Diglett chooses that moment to pop up and unleash the earth’s power at Ein again. Hoping that Bulbasaur is next to the correct ralts – they’ve moved closer together since he’d last been aboveground, and he has to aim very carefully to only catch one of them in the blast – he causes a second explosion in the earth that sends the probably-enemy ralts flying through the air again; Serene, Bulbasaur and Ralts get pelted by small bits of earth but are unharmed. This attack seems to accomplish what Serene could not; Ein begins stirring where he fell, mumbling a little to himself as he groggily opens his eyes. Ralts wakes up at almost the same moment, his eyes opening widely and staring at the furrow left in the ground from the explosion. Disoriented, he backs up into Bulbasaur, who helps him stand with her vines. He can’t do anything with his trainer’s command for the moment, so he just stands where he is, feeling a little helpless and trying to figure out what’s going on.

Bulbasaur, seeing that Ralts is okay for now, turns her attention to the hole which StarLight had disappeared into. She walks over and peers into it, but cannot make out the eevee. Annoyed, she shakes her bulb and releases a cloud of light purple spores that float down to the tunnel entrance. They don’t make it far, but in any event StarLight is too far in for the poison to reach her. At the moment, indeed, she has started digging again, pushing forward through the earth and trying to find Diglett’s tunnel. The dirt pressing into her fur and the close confines of the tunnel, not to mention the lack of light, are making her feel a little claustrophobic – eevee, unlike diglett, were certainly not made for underground life. But she puts up with it as she digs, and digs, and digs… Just as she is about to take a break for a moment, her paw suddenly breaks through into an open space, and the eevee eagerly pushes away some more dirt and can feel an upward-slanting tunnel that hers has now met up with – small, and the perfect size for a diglett. Bingo.

Ein now seems to be fully awake, and stands up, wincing as his bruises and scrapes make themselves known – Must’ve really taken a beating while I was out, he thinks distractedly. He spots Serene walking up to him and telepathically asks, So, what’d I miss? His female counterpart simply glares at him, long enough for him to feel distinctly uneasy – she then walks up to him and grabs him around the midriff, responds angrily, You just couldn’t have woken up thirty seconds sooner, could you?, and throws him towards Bulbasaur as hard as she can. Which, unfortunately, with a ralts’ physique, is not very hard, and Ein is airborne only for a few seconds before falling face-first into the ground about a foot away from Bulbasaur. Pushing himself up and spitting some grass out of his mouth, he gives a perplexed look back at Serene, then back to Bulbasaur, who, judging from her amused expression, knows exactly what is going on with his teammate. In the end, Ein just shrugs and turns his concentration to draining heat away from one hand, mimicking what Ralts had done earlier in his sleep, but here of his own volition. Bulbasaur hastily tries to back up, but Ein’s freezing-cold fist catches her in the side, the sub-zero temperature from the attack affecting her just as badly as Serene’s flames from earlier.

A little brown head pops up from the earth yet again, and Diglett surveys the field, trying to see if anyone is readying an attack. Serene seems to be holding her hands in front of her as though to gather energy – that’s good enough for him. A rumble is felt beneath everyone’s feet for the third time just before the ground spontaneously explodes beneath Serene – a noticeably larger and more spectacular explosion than either of the ones that had targeted Ein. The ralts cries out in pain as she is thrown into the air, and slams into the ground so hard the breath is knocked out of her. Ralts winces sympathetically as Serene, now extensively bruised and battered in addition to the razor leaf cuts all over her body, painfully gets to her feet, coughing and gasping as she does so. He’d very much like to avoid anything like that – Diglett is on his side, fortunately, but harm could still come from other sources… Speaking of, he realizes for the first time since waking up, he can’t see StarLight anywhere. Getting a little anxious – he’s supposed to be attacking her right now! – he reaches out with his mind, trying to use his psychic power to locate her and attack. His efforts yield nothing, however, and he eventually gives up, worrying that he might have messed up his trainer’s plans…

Bulbasaur takes a moment to concentrate inward, triggering a rapid explosion of cell division throughout her body. Before Ein and Serene’s eyes, her bulb expands in width, and the animal portion of her body seems to gain about an inch of height. Bulbasaur looks at the two enemy ralts from her slightly-higher-than-before vantage point, feeling an increased level of power flowing through her body, and eager to release it. Both ralts move in quick succession before she can do anything, however; Serene, having gotten her wind back but still wincing with every movement, holds her hands out like she had before and generates a ball of wispy purplish-black energy, which she immediately throws straight at Ralts. The force of the attack pushes ralts to the ground, while the ghostly energy causes a painful burning sensation as it burrows into his skin and assaults his mind. Ein, only a second behind, attacks Bulbasaur again, striking directly with a second freezing-cold ice punch.

Back underground once more, Diglett waits patiently for the command to go topside again. He’s rather enjoying the current strategy that his trainer’s got for him – stay out of the way, avoid taking any damage himself, and chip away at everyone with the supreme power of his natural element – couldn’t be more comfy. No sooner has this thought entered his head when he feels the vibrations of something moving beneath him – something in his tunnel! Before he can turn around to face this intruder, sharp fangs suddenly embed themselves in one of his back legs, sending painful jolts of dark energy into his body. StarLight keeps biting down for a bit longer before releasing Diglett, who squeaks in dismay at his hiding place being invaded. While she’s quite pleased with herself at having managed to squeeze herself through to the mole pokemon, the eevee is rather uncomfortable – this tunnel is almost too narrow for her to fit in, the sides squeezing in all around her, and she is in pitch blackness, the exit and all the sunlight blocked by Diglett.

Ein and Ralts both woke up on the second action.
Sleep Talk became Ice Punch.
The third Earth Power was a critical hit.
Earth Power isn’t really an attack that can be redirected with Psychic, and Diglett moved faster than Serene anyway, so she went with the Shadow Ball option.

Field notes:
There’s now a second tunnel about two feet underground, connecting to Diglett’s tunnel.
A lot of the ground has been ripped up by multiple applications of Earth Power – basically, a large part of the area where most of them have been battling is scared by three deep furrows that are devoid of grass.

Ridous attacks first.

This round is too freakin' loooong...

Okay Ein and Serene, I want both of you to work together on that Bulbasaur, but if your interupted by the diglett, focus on the Ralts. But if the Diglett goes for StarLight Imprison the Ralts OVER anything else. If you manage to Imprison the Ralts, Serene, I want you to calm down and do another Shadow Ball on Ralts while Ein continues on the Bulbasauar

StarLight it might be very good I if you can help Ein and Serene so dig your way out before Diglett comes back angry. If you manage to help them some do a Shadow Ball at Ralts. If the Diglett comes peeking its head out of the ground, hit it before it does anythingwith a quick attack

Serene: Fire Punch/Imprison~Fire Punch/Imprison/Calm Mind~Fire Punch/Imprison/Shadow Ball
Ein: Ice Punch/Imprision~Ice Punch/Imprision~Ice Punch/Imprision

Aah, nice round guys. Keep it up!

Ralts, I want you to pick up both of the Ralts with Psychic. I want you to knock their heads together. Do anything to do so; preferably low in the air, but even dragging them will work if you can't muster the energy. You will probably use a lot of energy doing this, but hang in there. Afterward, use Calm Mind, then use Future Sight.

Okay, Bulbasaur! You're the center of this plan! First off, quickly feel the air. If there's enough for you to use Solarbeam in one action, use Growth. If not, use Sunny Day. For the second action, use Solarbeam. If Ralts has put them together, use Solarbeam on the two of them. If not, use it on the closest Ralts to you. Do the same for the next action.

Growth/Sunny Day ~ Solarbeam(Serene, Ein / Closest Ralts) ~ Solarbeam(Serene, Ein / Closest Ralts)

Now Diglett, you've got an important job. Attack StarLight, but don't be very loud. Try to make sure that the other Pokémon can't hear it. Start off with Slash, and push of of StarLight in using it. Try push into the wall, and push off of it for a powerful Body Slam! Finish her off with a Toxic!

Slash ~ Body Slam ~ Toxic

Uncomfortably squeezing herself onto her side, StarLight begins hurriedly scrabbling at the side of the tunnel. A pang of claustrophobia adds a bit of desperation to her movements; she is well aware that Diglett has the advantage here, and she does not want to get trapped down here where she’ll be at his mercy. Fortunately, Diglett still seems to be shocked by her unexpected attack, giving her time to quickly excavate a tunnel branching off from his. Leaving Diglett behind, the eevee digs steadily upward, her eyes tightly closed to keep loose dirt out; finally, she feels her paw break through the earth and meet no resistance; she eagerly pushes away the last of the dirt and grass separating her from the surface and pulls herself out of the hole. Blinking as her eyes adjust to their exposure to sunlight again, StarLight shakes herself vigorously to the soil out of her coat, extremely grateful to be back aboveground.

Suddenly, Diglett’s head pops back out from his hole, his eyes narrowed and fixed on StarLight. Thought she could get away that easily, did she? A second later the angered diglett has dug his way over, and viciously slashes at the eevee, his powerful digging claws bursting out of the ground and back under in a blur of motion too fast for anyone watching to make out any details. StarLight cries out in pain and jumps away, whimpering as she sees the long bleeding gash on her chest, while Diglett watches with a satisfied expression. Break into my tunnel, will you?

At the same time, Bulbasaur continues her rapid growth, feeling more power coursing through her body as her cells go into overdrive. Serene and Ein both prepare to attack (Serene still pointedly keeping her distance from her partner, to his continued confusion), but then notice that Diglett has attacked their teammate. The two immediately drop their fighting stances and assume more meditative ones, closing their eyes and focusing on all the techniques that they’ve used so far in the battle (Ein, to his mild chagrin, realizes that for him this amounts to a grand total of one). A strange, ghostly aura surrounds each ralts as they begin to chant, a repetition of sinister-sounding, arcane syllables that form an imprisoning spell – as they conclude, the auras disappear from the two ralts and reappear surrounding Bulbasaur, Ralts, and Diglett. The three teammates are startled, but after a few seconds the freaky auras disappear, apparently with no ill effects – save for a vague sense of forgetfulness, as though there is something just on the edge of their memories that they know is there, but can’t quite recall.

Ralts, rather more unnerved by this than his teammates, hangs back for a moment, hesitant to act for fear of screwing up again – the prospect of having to attack two pokemon with a technique normally only meant for one is a bit daunting. His trainer doesn’t seem to be mad at him for his earlier failure, however, and so he takes a calming breath and prepares to attack, determined not to mess up this time. Reaching out with his mind, he grabs hold of the other two ralts. Ein and Serene suddenly stiffen as psychic power surrounds their bodies, inhibiting their movement and lifting them each about a foot into the air; they struggle to break free, but Ralts manages to keep a tight hold on their floating forms, though doing so is visibly putting a great strain on him. Gritting his teeth as the pressure of lifting two bodies at once builds on his mind, Ralts holds his arms forward, then slaps them together – and Ein and Serene follow suit, shooting towards each other head-first and colliding with a loud coconut-like sound (which secretly delights a random starly flying overhead). With a relieved grunt, Ralts drops the two and staggers back, worn out from his mental exertion; Ein and Serene drop to the ground, and lay there disoriented, holding their heads and groaning.

Meanwhile, StarLight, trying to ignore the blood slowly seeping into her fur from her slash wound, makes to act before Diglett can do anything more to her. In a burst of speed that even Diglett’s reflexes can’t match, the eevee darts forward and rams into the mole pokemon’s face, then quickly jumps back to where she was standing before. Looking back, StarLight giggles at Diglett’s disgruntled expression, but quickly becomes serious again as his head begins bobbing its way toward her again. Though the eevee is taller than him – at least with most of his body underground – Diglett makes a valiant attempt at a body slam; first, he rams StarLight’s legs to trip her up, then, pushing his head up as far as he can without the rest of his body leaving the earth, he slams it down on her prone body as hard as he can. The sight is rather awkward, and the lightweight Diglett obviously didn’t manage to do much damage. He must have hit some sort of pressure point or something, though, because as StarLight tries to stand, one of her legs suddenly freezes up, causing her to fall back over with a yelp. Grimacing, she tries to move the leg, which inexplicably seems to be working fine now – but it still feels achy and twitchy, as though something is misaligned inside it, leaving StarLight worried that it will freeze up again at a crucial moment.

Ein, slightly cross-eyed, staggers to his feet, trying to remember who he’s supposed to be attacking. As the throbbing in his head dies down to a tolerable level, he glances briefly at Ralts (actually rather impressed with his opponent for managing to pull off that stunt) before turning his attention to Bulbasaur. Wreathing his tiny fist in cold again, he throws another ice punch at the seed pokemon, connecting solidly just as before. Bulbasaur backs away, gritting her teeth at the cold, while at the same time concentrating on absorbing solar energy into her body. The leaves of her bulb part slightly at the top, out of which emerges a white glow that steadily grows brighter and brighter. Finally, having gathered enough, Bulbasaur releases all the energy in a great concentrated beam of light and heat, aimed straight at Ein. The ralts is thrown backwards several feet by the force of the beam, its tremendous heat burning into his entire body. As the beam dissipates, Ein lands on his back, a pained whimper escaping his lips as he tries not to move and aggravate the burns.

Rather glad that Ein had moved away from her and thus saved her from getting caught in the solarbeam too, Serene backs up away from Bulbasaur and sits down, assuming a meditative pose. Pushing aside the pain in her head, she turns her focus inward, her sense of the world around her becoming distant as she retreats within herself. Ralts, now feeling rather pleased with himself, settles down a few feet away and does the same. The two ralts go through several meditative exercises, strengthening their minds against assault and readying them for attack.

Taking advantage of the fact that her leg seems to be working at the moment, StarLight puts on another burst of speed and slams into Diglett’s face once again, feeling a bit of vindictive pleasure. Grumbling, Diglett prepares to retaliate… but… what? Toxic? Does he know that move? He should… just… where is it? Straining his brain, Diglett tries to remember how to perform that move, his frustration mounting as it continues to elude him. It’s right there, tantalizingly close, but just out of reach.

Unaware of the trouble she inadvertently caused for Diglett, Serene opens her eyes and brings her awareness back to the exterior world. In doing so, she notices Ralts, sitting a few feet away in the same type of trance that she just came out of. She scowls. Copycat. Holding out her hands, she forms another ball of swirling ghostly energy, and flings it at Ralts just as he opens his own eyes – which widen in surprise just before the shadow ball hits. Serene smirks as the other ralts whimpers in pain – that’ll teach him to copy her moves.

Ralts recovers from the shadow ball fairly quickly, however, and faces Serene defiantly. She’s just mad that he got her with his totally awesome psychic trick. He’s feeling useful for the first time in this battle, and is not yet ready to give up his newly-acquired confidence. As he stares down Serene, his eyes suddenly start to glow, staring ahead blindly as he projects his consciousness into the near future. Serene stares back uneasily for a few seconds of this; then, Ralts’s eyes return to their normal state, and he grins innocently at Serene, making her feel even more nervous. He’s a little unsure as to whether or not he got (or will get) the right target – his trainer didn’t specify who to aim for – but right now he’s just glad that he’s stopped messing up.

A little ways away, Bulbasaur once again begins the process of absorbing the sun’s energy into her bulb; Ein watches apprehensively, not even bothering to get up from where he fell the last time, certain that it wouldn’t make much difference. A few more seconds of energy gathering, and Bulbasaur fires off a second solarbeam, which burns away the grass around Ein as it catches him in its path. The ralts grits his teeth against the pain of the heat blistering his skin, making piteous noises as Bulbasaur finally runs out of energy and the beam expires. Painfully, he pushes himself to his feet, his whole body feeling burned and raw; one hand gets a bit of relief as it becomes sheathed in icy energy, and Ein stoically makes his way to where Bulbasaur stands and strikes with yet another ice punch. Bulbasaur scowls and backs off, while Ein glares at her, more than a little miffed that he’s been taking the most hits out of all his teammates so far.

Battle notes:
Slash was a critical hit.
As it was split between Ein and Serene, Psychic did only half damage, and also cost more energy.
Solarbeam’s damage was reduced and energy cost increased due being used in a single action.
Since no target was specified for Future Sight, Ralts chose randomly.

Next round:
Lucas755 attacks first.

Sorry for the random Far Side reference. I couldn’t resist.

Imprison blocks the moves that the user has used so far, not the target. Serene had used Toxic in the first round.

((Ah. Well, you learn something new every day.))

Okay, Diglett! First off, use Screech! Then, use Slash twice, both on StarLight! If you can't attack StarLight, attack Ein! If you can't attack Ein, attack Serene!

Ein, time for I want you to Lucky Chant for the sake of reciveing less damage for the whole team, after your done fight heat with heat as a Fire Punch and then a Thunder Punch on Bulbasuar.

Serene, use your new found power and use a shadow ball at Ralts, and use psychic to hold Bulbasuar before it flares out a solar beam so Ein can get a shot in and take the hit for Starlight when Ralts uses Will-O-Wisp so it gets burned by your sychro.

Utterly frustrated, Diglett finally gives up on trying to recall his attack. Leaning his head back, he lets out an ear-piercing shriek, hoping to shock his opponents into letting their guard down. While it certainly helps vent some of his anger, however, Diglett had not angled the screech attack correctly at his targets, and the eevee and two ralts do nothing more than cover their ears slightly at the loud noise.

Serene, indeed, is already making her move, forming another shadow ball in her hands and throwing it at Ralts once again. This time, Ralts grimaces as he feels the caustic ghostly energy burning at his skin more than usual, messing up the defensive state he had put his mind in just a few minutes ago. He looks back at Serene, scowling; he’d like to get her back right now, show her what he thinks of her stupid ghost attacks! Reluctantly, though, he turns his attention back to Ein; scrunching up his face in concentration, Ralts holds his arms out, and a cloud of strangely-glittering leaves appear around him out of nowhere; these then shoot forward at Ralts’ mental command, homing in perfectly on Ein’s position.

Ein gives the magical leaves a look of resignation as they shoot through the air towards him; the leaves quickly add several cuts to the many wounds he’s suffered, but the ralts just stands and takes it, only wincing when one of the leaves deals him a particularly nasty cut to his side. Putting his hands on it to stem the bleeding, Ein notices that Bulbasaur has started growing again – she is now several inches larger than she was at the beginning of the battle. Ein sighs, fairly certain that he’s going to be the main target of the bulbasaur’s steadily increasing power – still, maybe he can at least help his teammates out a bit. Still keeping pressure on his newest wound, he begins to chant softly, a seemingly random, tuneless intonation that nevertheless carries over the field, particularly to Serene and StarLight – both pokemon, as well as Ein himself, experience a sudden strong burst of optimism, as though Ein’s chant is forming some sort of barrier around them, defending them from any unlucky events that may occur. The feeling of safety remains even after Ein stops speaking, and he looks at Bulbasaur with a new confidence, ready to take whatever she can throw at him.

StarLight, feeling rather giddy off of the effects of Ein’s lucky chant, springs off through the grass, away from Diglett, coming to a stop in front of Ralts. She smiles cutely at the ralts as she strikes an alluring pose, letting the breeze play gently over her fur (taking care to angle herself so that the unsightly red-stained fur around her slash wound is mostly out of Ralts’s view), and basically trying to make herself look as graceful and beautiful as possible. Ralts, whose focus had still been on Serene, suddenly finds himself staring dumbly at the preening eevee. She’s so… pretty… he can’t help but direct the whole of his attention toward the absolutely stunning eevee in front of him, his mouth unconsciously dropping open…

Serene sniggers as Ralts continues to stare, awestruck, at her teammate; Diglett, on the other hand, narrows his eyes and pushes his way through the soil, back into the main fray. Upon reaching StarLight he delivers her another quick slash with his claws, though this one doesn’t leave as big a wound. Still, she backs off, hissing at the pain, and Diglett takes the opportunity to shout sternly at Ralts that now was not the time to be drooling over females – they’re kinda in the middle of a battle, after all.

Diglett’s words seem to take a moment for Ralts to process… when he does, however, his mouth abruptly snaps shut, and the little ralts shakes his head, irritated and embarrassed. He knows he shouldn’t be thinking like that right now, but… He looks at StarLight out of the corner of his eye, and still can’t help but be utterly entranced by her. He sees her open her mouth to say something to him… then suddenly, her right leg seems to seize up violently, and she falls over on her side, apparently unable to get the limb to work properly. She appears distracted from whatever she was about to say, so Ralts reluctantly brings his psychic power to bear on her. Suddenly encased by a light blue glow, StarLight finds herself lifted into the air and flung about every which way, slamming repeatedly into the ground, though Ralts is still sufficiently distracted that he holds back slightly. When the glow finally disappears and she drops to the ground, she tries to move her uncooperative limb again, with partial success, though it still feels numb and tingly, like it’s fallen asleep.

Ignoring these goings-on, Bulbasaur begins absorbing sunlight for another solarbeam. Before she can gather much energy, though, she suddenly finds herself surrounded by the same blue glow as StarLight a few seconds before, and held completely immobile. She grimaces as she feels psychic energy attacking her brain, violently exploiting her natural poison-type weaknesses. While Serene, seeming to be quite enjoying herself, holds onto Bulbasaur, Ein rushes forward, his hand aflame, taking advantage of the opening to land a solid fire punch at the pokemon that he sees as his most constant tormentor in this battle.

Bulbasaur snarls as she is finally released from Serene’s psychic attack, angry at the newest burn mark on her sensitive skin; she immediately returns to absorbing the sun’s energy, and when she has enough, releases it almost point-blank at Ein. The ralts is thrown backwards by the force of the tremendous beam of pure solar energy, and remains where he lands, whimpering in pain, his optimism already taking a severe hit. Suddenly, a strange humming fills the air around him, slowly rising in volume as though heralding the imminent arrival of something… Ein just groans in resignation, knowing exactly what’s about to happen – and sure enough, a ball of brilliant, multicolored psychic energy suddenly explodes out of nowhere, surrounding the poor ralts and slamming him into the ground before dissipating entirely into the air.

Several things happen in quick succession after this. Diglett moves toward StarLight to attack again, but the eevee now seems to have regained full control of her leg and leaps to her feet, moving quickly to position herself between Bulbasaur and Ein. While the bulb on Bulbasaur’s back glows once more with excess solar energy, Diglett slashes at StarLight again – only for his claws to collide with a greenish sphere of energy completely surrounding the eevee. Bulbasaur shouts for him to get out of the way, and Diglett hurriedly does so, as Bulbasaur fires off yet another dramatic beam of sunlight at Ein and the eevee standing resolutely in front of him… But when the light dissipates, nothing but the grass on both sides of StarLight and Ein is burned away – both pokemon are completely unscathed, saved by the eevee’s protective barrier.

Wincing at every movement, Ein gingerly pushes himself out of the depression in the ground he’d been pushed into. Giving a grateful look to StarLight as he passes, the ralts limps toward Bulbasaur, the hand that had been surrounded by flames before now crackling with electricity. Bulbasaur barely flinches this time as Ein punches her, her body resisting the electricity very easily.

Ralts, sternly telling himself (with little success) to stop thinking about StarLight’s pretty fur, forms what appears to be a small ball of blue flames between his hands, and tosses it out into the air. The flame bobs slowly in StarLight’s general direction, moving closer and closer to the protect shield that she has not yet dropped – but Serene suddenly jumps up and intercepts it. She grits her teeth as the eerie flame burns into her flesh, leaving behind a large burn wound on her chest; at the same time, however, Ralts gasps in pain and looks down at his own chest. There is no visible burn there, but he still feels a constant stinging pain that makes it difficult to move, and realizes, to his dismay, that he’s just been synchronized once again.

Ein time for your last stand, you've fought your fullest. Use the Digletts holes to your advantage, fling Bulbasuar upside down with Psychic into the hole that would hold the bulb. After its stuck without access to sunlight for its bulb, hit it with all you got with your angry fists of fire, and if you get interupted defend with Protect.

Okay, Diglett, here's the plan. Go somewhat far away from Ein, but put Ein between StarLight and you. Proceed to use Earth Power on Ein. Then use Earth Power twice more, first on StarLight then on Serene. Try to move around the area in between attacks.

Ralts, I want you to follow Diglett, but stop near StarLight and use Confuse Ray. I know you like her, but I'll try to get you a date with her after the battle if you make this attack hit, okay? Great. Next, use Confuse Ray on Serene. Finally, use Future Sight on StarLight.

Bulbasaur, you should use Growth again. Then, fire a Solarbeam at Serene, and aim the last one at StarLight.
