FR/LG Team help please! D:

OK so on my LG I'm about to battle the fire gym, and this is my team

Lv 42 Charizard
LV 42 Raichu
LV 42 Sandslash
LV 43 Rydon

I know huge type disadvantage against water types, so can anyone help me? Maybe a suggestion for different pokemon? I need help or I'll die at the first elite 4 person (I know I'm a retard should have thought ahead) Please help can someone me?

See if you can get a grass Type (Exeggcute or Vileplume/Victreebel.) But your Raichu will help because it's not weak to Ice, which is actually what Lorelei's main type is. So as long as you have a Fire, Electric and Water-type on your team, you're good.

Also, see if you can get an Ice or Dragon-type to fight the Dragon-type Elite Four member. There's also a Fighting type person (but he has 2 Onix) and a Poison-type person, so be sure to have advantages against those, too.

Okay thanks ;D I'll go get Articuno, and as for plant type should I use Eggicute/exutor or a gloom, or a victreebell?
EDIT: Oh my god I just noticed that on D/P Anorith is floating like 3 feet in the air O.o

Articuno's awful. Don't grab an ice-type: grab a water type and teach it Ice Beam, or, if you have to, Blizzard.

I'm partial to Vileplume/Victreebel but either works.

Uhh, plant type? I know you mean grass type, but..

You don't actually need a grass type. There's no point, and it's weak to Lorelei (the ice type Elite Four) and they're pretty slow. I'd just stick to Sandslash, but I like it because of its awesome win-ness. ^^;

 

[Evolutionary]

No offense but I think grass types suck until they get decent moves in DP onwards. You could use Lapras for the Ice Pokemon and it also acts as a water Pokemon and gets STAB for both and in my opinion it's better than Dewgong in moves and stats. I'm not sure if you should have both Sandslash and Rhydon on your team because they share one type and it takes up a Pokemon slot that could be taken up with some other type Pokemon that would help.

Grass sucks defensively. Grass moves are decent, though, so it doesn't usually matter in-game.

Lapras works, but it's better to get a non-ice Water-type. :/ Poliwrath, Tentacruel, Slowbro, etc.

 

[Evolutionary]

I just suggested that because he'd already have a Lapras so it'd be no trouble. I highly suggest a Psychic type, they're practically unbeatable in this game because Bug, dark and ghost is rather rare. Just keep the psychics away from Agatha.

Oh and what did you evolve your Eevee into, because Vaporeon is a pretty good water type, Flareon sort of sucks and Jolteon is absolutely excellent but you already have an Electric type.

Yeah I won't raise a plant "puts eggo back in box" oh and I haven't evolved the Eevee yet because I didn't know what to do with it it's a girl :D (not that it makes any difference in power) I like girl eevee's better though because their harder to get for some reason :/ I'll either raise my lapras or evolve Eevee into Vaporeon, which should I do? And I refuse to give up either Sandslash or Rydon, I love Slasher and Bean! (yes Bean the Rydon :D)

Oh I caught a ditto :D in the box you go never to be seen again! I love vaporeon, but what level should I evolve the Eevee?

Before level 36; doesn't matter when. I'd recommend teaching it Aurora Beam at 36 -- since it's passable and saves you an Ice Beam/Blizzard TM -- and Haze at 42, plus Bite at 30 for both Eevee and Vaporeon. That leaves you Surf for the final slot.

You could of course go Baton Pass (Eevee lv 36) over Haze, but there're a few NPCs that ♡ Dragon Dance or Calm Mind or something so I'd recommend Haze.

 

[Evolutionary]

Evolve it right away. Unless you want Baton Pass or something.
