The Best And Worst powerups

Thorne

It's feeding time
OK Powerups are as awesome as awesome is, but some are extra awesome, or just lacks it. So take your time to mention some of the best and worse. Remember, POWERUPS, not magic or spells or anything like that, weapons work, thought.

Anyway, Kirby 64 has so many awesome powerups, but let me say some of the better.
Exploding Shuriken kirby - Long ranged with high accuracy and the fact that once it hits, freezes the enemy before exploding, giving you enough time to throw several more when battling mini bosses. Since it isn't a powerup you hold as a weapon, it doesn't effect mobility in any way.
Snare Kirby - This one is my favourite, Kirby's pretty much turns into a venus fly trap, any enemy touching you die, you're practically invincible due the incredible range and overall works damn well. The bad part is that you can't move with it, and it lags so much if you're underwater you'll fall to your doom if there's a hole underneath.
Flame Sword Kirby - Oh boy, Kirby takes a giant flaming sword from his mouth, when you're not swinging it it hangs behind you, making you completely safe from the back, the swing range is awesome and you can hold it up to make you safe from flying enemies and throw it forward. Bad thing is that you can't float holding it.

I can't think of any bad powerup right now, I'm more interested in hearing other's opinion.

My favorite K64 is mot likely the "fireworks" (flame + bomb) Kirby; when I first picked up the game again after having not played it for a while I ended up with that ability and went through the whole game with it. The exploding shuriken Kirby is awesome too, as is "shapeshifter" (stone + cutter). I especially love using the little bird with the shapeshifter; it's faster than Kirby is normally and can fly better.

Two Good Metroid Ones:

Omega Cannon: Used in the final boss fight, this weapon is the only thing that can damage the boss. It can cause massive damage, and the blast usually stop moving until it hits something, at which point it explodes, causing lethal damage. In multiplayer, it's one-hit kill
Deathalt: Another multiplayer powerup; this one transforms your character into an essential wrecking ball. You just need to touch another player and they die instantly.

I'm sure I could think of some bad powerups (like sleeper Kirby, but that's a given) but I can't think of too many

The almighty Superfly/Superflame combo in Spryo 2.

YESYESYESYESYESYESYESSS.

Blue shell in NSM rules, a touches thing. Shame it's easy to die as it (falling)
Mini Mario Wins too, Jesus Mario time!

Smash ball in Brawl, can I say more?

The Blue shell IS so much fun in Super Mario Bros.
The Star isn't much fun.

The almighty Superfly/Superflame combo in Spryo 2.

YESYESYESYESYESYESYESSS.

Don't forget the permanent superflame you get upon beating the game.

The String of Beads in Okami: it makes you invincible, grants infinite ink, and increases your strength tenfold - a God mode, more or less. Well worth beating the game and its various sidequests for, without a doubt.
The Water Tablet is pretty awesome as well, if only so that you no longer have to bother with the Lily Pad technique again, although running on water is cool in itself.
