The Turning Point is a transition zone, in this case where rough terrain, the view mostly hidden by grass taller than the average human, gives way to steep cliffs that drop down to a an oddly out of place calm but incredibly large lake. Visitors are given one Safari Ball on entry.

The grass growing up around the rough terrain area is pretty hard to see past, so there is only a 50% chance of even catching a Pokemon or finding an item, unless you have a Pokemon with Cut or Slash, in which case you have a 90% chance of catching a Pokemon or finding something. The Pokemon that can be found here are mostly Ground, Rock or Dark type, with a Dragon type or two running about occasionally.

Entry is $3 with no additional requirements.

The lake is only accessible if you have a Flying type Pokemon, or a Pokemon that knows Rock Climb. You have the option to stay around the water's edge and throw stones into the lake to stir up some Pokemon, or with a Surfing Pokemon or for an additional $1, you can explore above and below the lake. There is a 90% chance of finding a Pokemon or item over and under the lake, and a 70% chance of finding a Pokemon around the water's edge.

Entry is just $1 but requires either a Flying Pokemon or Rock Climb, and a Surfing Pokemon or an additional $1 is required to explore in or over the lake.

Standing a bit behind your Zigzagoon, you blink as the grass stops flying everywhere and your Zigzagoon is standing just in front of a sleepy looking Rattata. It's female.

A little journey later, you arrive at the edge of the lake and grab on to your Lombre, who pulls you out into the water easily. Above, a flock of Wingull squawk at you, and as one dives down to take a closer look at you, you nab it with the Safari Ball. Nice catch!

You watch as the grass flies everywhere around you and almost walk into your Totodile, who's stopped to give a surprised looking Sandshrew an odd look. Quickly, you throw the ball at it, and with a click, it's yours.
