i've recently downloaded my free copy of TF2 off of steam. i've never used steam until now and every time i try to run it, it asks me what program i want to use to run it. only problem is everything i've tried doesn't work. help?

That, quite frankly, is baffling. Do you have any screenshots? I'm very bad at at tech support without visuals.
 
ooook um paint's saying i don't have access to go to my documents? i could only access by clicking 'run as' but i'm the only one registered...
