If it stuck with being a GBA game they wouldn't have to fiddle with it as much, so it'd still be recognizable as a remake instead of a new game in an old setting.

...though I'd probably still get it if it was a DS game just to play GSC again since my GBA broke.

Don't get your hopes up about a GBA game.
 
RBY comes first.
FRLG happens at the same time as RBY.
RSE happens at the same time as FRLG.
GSC happens 3 years after RBY.
DPP is a bit after GSC.

In other words, the timeline for the games makes no sense at all.
 
I'm all in favor of a G/S/C remake. Of course, I'm all in favor of any new Pokemon games. XD Seriously though... Johto's the only region that hasn't been on a system newer than the GBC. Yet it's the most popular with most fans. Seems like a recipe for a moneymaker there.

Plus... I want a Bayleef. D:

What are you talking about? If FRLG is a remake of RBY then techinally speaking it's..not part of the timeline so the timelive would be

RBY and RSE at the same time + a few years=

GSC and DPP happening at the same time.

That's what I think/have heard anyways.

Bayleef is awesome. :D I have one on Crystal. I wish the Johto starters weren't so hard to get now... completing the entire dex in Emerald just to get one? D: That's pure evil. A G/S remake would solve this.

Yes. On my Emerald I want Bayleef SO badly BUT I can't complete the Pokedex due to the fact I have NO ONE TO TRADE WITH. Most of my school is 'Pokemon is lame', some think its OK but don't have the game and simply play ROMs sometimes. It annoys me so much. An GS remake would solve this. Of course you could get one off the GTS but I want one in Emerald as well. *sigh* Nintendo really should make a GS remake, the money they could earn...
 
I wan't a remake considering my internal clock battery died on my Gold, Silver, and Crystal. Oh, and I lost my Sapphire, Firered, Leafgreen, and Pokemon Colloseum. I could right a blues song. Or country song.
