• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

Aidan leaned his head on the wall, and let out a few quick breaths. He was still trembling massively, but it had weakened slightly.
Rhythm pointed at Acacia, then quickly crawled to his room as Marshall pounced. When he was inside, he locked the door and let out a deep breath and glanced at Zora asleep on the bed.

"Shh... Stop trembling now..." Darkness whispered in an attempt to calm him down.
Acacia looked over and attempted to point at someone else, but was too late and crashed to the floor comically with Marshall on top of her.
"Oh good lord..."
"Poor you." Starlight snickered.
Zora again opened one eye at the sound of the door's lock clicking.
"Humnmmm..." she mumbled sleepily, closing it again.

"Darkness...Don't leave, please no..." Aidan whispered, a tone of insanity in his voice. He looked as if he was about to start crying.
Marshall smiled mischievously.
"Your turn, dearie." He smiled, starting to growl again.
Rhythm walked over, and sat down next to the side Zora was on. He supposed he would wait here until the drink had worn off.

"Shh! Shh! I'm not going to leave you! I promise! I'll never let go of you again if that's what you want! Just please calm down..." Darkness whined, pulling him closer, holding him tighter. All of this was a desperate attempt at calming him down.
Cyndra began to crack up again as Acacia looked around confusedly.
"My turn...? What?" she asked. Truth was she didn't know what to do. Wasn't sure whether to just let him do whatever it was he was going to do or to try and escape while she had a chance.
Zora again stirred, this time managing to lift her head and see Rhythm sitting next to her before having to lay it back down.
"Wha...?"

Aidan twitched, then suddenly stopped trembling and hung his head. The only thing he could physically feel was Darkness's arms around him. A single, small tear fell from his eye to the ground.
Marshall smiled, then all of a sudden felt the drink wear off and became sane again.
"Whoa...What happened?" He asked groggily.
Rhythm blinked at Zora, and forced a smile.
"Hello there. I came in here because..." He stopped. She could wait until one of the others told her. "I just came in here to see how you were doing."

"Oh why did he have to do that to you...?" Darkness sobbed. She saw his tear, and felt a pang of grief and sadness. This was only temporary, right? He'd go back to normal, right?
"I miss the real you..."
Acacia gulped. Was he finally sane?
"You um... Kinda pounced on me and started growling at me like you were gonna rape me..."
Zora blinked.
"Oh... well thanks..." she groaned, rubbing her eyes, "I'm doing fine..."

Sephii cocked her eyebrows at Marshall.

"That loon." she muttered.

(Falar should come soon. And Rhythm, Zora, Falar, and Windfall will have to be asleep. Along with the Warners.)

(Alrighty then)

A few more tears fell from Aidan's eyes, before he was able to correctly and tightly hug Darkness back. The words he was thinking of saying circled around in his head, but he eventually just chose not to say anything.
Marshall blinked, then hopped off of Acacia and landed on his knees.
"I don't remember anything..."
Rhythm blinked as his smile faded away. He just stared at Zora, like she was a prize to behold. Then he realized what he was doing.
"Oh, sorry..." He muttered, turning away. Soon, he realized that he couldn't keep his eyelids shut, so he turned back to Zora.
"Do you mind if I slip in there with you? I'm starting to fall asleep as well..."

(2/3 dragons hatched :D)

Jax saw the people starting to go to sleep. She had a prank all she needed was...

(Now, Falar, NAO! XD)

((Flareth, just drop it for right now. It'll get there.))

"There there, that's better..." Darkness sighed. She felt him embrace her back and smiled a bit. That was the firm embrace of her boyfriend and she knew it.
Acacia sat up and shook out her hair.
"Well you did."
Cyndra snickered.
"He should be glad he can't..."
Zora looked up at him. She saw he was staring at her, particularly the WAY he was staring at her, and admittedly she kinda liked it.
"It's alright... I don't mind you looking at me, no need to apologize... And sure, I wouldn't mind at all..."

Aidan let out a breath of relief, and his tension dropped.
"I'm sorry...Sorry I went all crazy on you..."
Marshall turned his glare to Cyndra.
"And why might that be? What exactly did I do?"
Rhythm smiled at her, then walked around to the other side and simply laid down. He didn't use a blanket or anything, just simply laid there with drooping eyelids.

"It's OK... It's OK..." Darkness whispered, "I understand..."
Cyndra again snickered.
"Let's just say it was highly inappropriate." She didn't really want to repeat it with Aidan still in the room and having reacted like that, so she chose to leave it at that.
Zora yawned, moving just a bit closer and closing her eyes again with a small smile on her face.

(Miss Falra's coming in the next post I SWEAR)

Aidan smiled. Still, all he could physically feel was Darkness, even though he was up against both a wall and a cabinet. It felt great, to him.
Marshall raised an eyebrow, then facepalmed.
"I'll wait till later to get details..."
Rhythm spared a glance at Zora, then also closed his eyes. But, for some reason, even though he felt exhausted, he couldn't understand the temptation of opening his eyes and not going to sleep.

((...Miss?))

Darkness sighed again, caressing his hair. All she wanted to do was sit here and comfort him, now that she already was. She felt him in a calmer state and smiled again.
Cyndra nodded.
"Would be for the best." she snickered. Oh that was too good to let him live down.
Zora yawned again and wrapped an arm around him, then falling into sleep.

(haha no i'm kidding)

Aidan jumped when Darkness touched his hair, but he soon fell into a dream-like state as she caressed it. Which was soon interrupted by a large crash. Aidan looked for the source, eventually seeing a fireplace he hadn't spotted before. A silver-haired boy with equally silver clothes wandered out, coughing.
"Ugh..." Falar muttered, dusting himself off.
"The door's over there." Raith muttered, coming out of the kitchen.
Rhythm jumped out of his trance at the crash.
"Must be them fooling around out there..." He muttered, laying back down.

"Christ Falar. Way to interrupt a moment..." Darkness groaned, glaring at him.
"Ha, wait'll you hear what happened." Cyndra giggled.
Zora's head snapped up at the sound of the crash, but she soon laid it back down and sighed.
"It probably is..." she muttered.
