Closed X: The step into other worlds

"It probably would..." Zora mumbled, shakily standing up. Darkness rushed over and grabbed her, aiding her into the kitchen as a few of the rest (a pissed off Cyndra, Spirit, Starlight, Kirita, Hera) wandered in.
Frost glanced at his drink again, then took another bite. He'd have to drink it eventually, he knew that. But he couldn't help but feel that it'd been tampered with.
 
Jax so wanted to force that drink down his throat, but that would definitely raise suspicions. Jax spent her time waiting eating the dinner: steak.
 
"Whatever..." Rhythm muttered, sighing and turning back towards the kitchen. Maybe they were right, maybe food would warm him up. Wandering towards the kitchen, he took a deep breath and lost himself in thought.
 
Frost glanced nervously at the drink, then took a small sip of it. At that very moment, Jesse happened to walk into the room, and he observed a significant change in Frost's facial expression. And then he dove across the table and kissed Jax very passionately, and Jesse's face curled into a smile. A wonderful, evil smile.
He'd just had an idea, knowing that Frost loved Cyndra too much to do this.

The expressions on everyone else in the room, however could be described as a combination of jaw-drop, WTF and blank stares.
 
Jax cuddled with him.

"I'm your nurse, Doctor Frost." she said, ruffling his hair, "You're my Mr. Oppurtunity."

Jax smirked at Cyndra.

"You see, he made the right choice." Jax laughed, before smooching Frost.
 
Rhythm blinked. Already, he knew something had influenced Frost to do that, and it wasn't just his decision. Rhythm sighed as he realized that Jax had probably tampered with his dinner.
"I'm not going to bother eating anymore..." He muttered, turning around. Opal walked into the kitchen, looking well rested and still wearing Rhythm's coat
"I heard dinner, so I came out..." She muttered, yawning.
 
And by then Jesse had already swapped her drink with Frost's and was sitting patiently and eating. He didn't appear to notice her walk in, or at least he was pretending not to.
Cyndra, however, roared in rage and stormed off to her room, and then the sound of things breaking was heard. When she walked back out, she was sweating and she pointed at Jax and gave her a death glare.
"You..."
 
"Jax, you've gone and made Cyndra homicidal..." Rhythm muttered. He averted his gaze, turning to Opal.
"Can I have my coat back now?"
Opal stood there, and pondered it.
"Nyeh...After dinner." she said, walking in and sitting down. Rhythm sighed and stood in the corner of the room.
 
As she walked up to her seat, Darkness pondered whether to tell Opal about the drinks being switched. She knew she'd go nuts when she found out, but then again she wanted to tape him getting his ass kicked. She pondered this as she sat down and helped her ailing sister into the chair next to her.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'RIGHT CHOICE'?!" Cyndra roared, "You have no idea how I treat him!! For all you know I could be an absolute angel for him!! So don't you fucking go and fucking tell me that he fucking made a fucking right choice!!"
 
Rhythm sighed. The tension was getting to him and was starting to anger him. It really annoyed him. No matter how much he wanted to jump in and stop the fighting, he simply stood there, looking on. Meanwhile, Opal sat down as if the fighting didn't even exist and blinked at her glass. Shrugging, she took a few bites of the steak.
 
"I'M GOING TO FUCKING KILL YO-" Cyndra snarled as Spirit, Starlight, Kirita and Hera tackled her and pinned her down. Spirit gripped the skin at the base of her neck and pinched hard, and then Cyndra was out like a light.
"That's better. I don't know what you did but I wouldn't do it again."
Jesse glanced up at Opal while she wasn't looking. Something was... nagging at him. That maybe he shouldn't have switched the drinks. Then again, this would be worth it. But what if it was only temporary? She would be pissed.
 
Rhythm sighed. At least the tension had dropped significantly when Cyndra was knocked out. Resting against the corner, he closed his eyes and stood completely still. Meanwhile, Opal blinked at the drink, contemplating something. Eventually, she muttered something inaudible, then reached for the drink and took a sip. Immediately, something took over her and she lunged at Jesse, kissing him passionately.
"Oh, what the fuck. Now this?" Rhythm muttered, attempting to hold in a laugh.
 
Darkness dropped her fork and looked at Hera.
"Um... weren't we just laughing at him for that?"
"We were." Hera replied as she got off of Cyndra and tried to force back more laughter.
Zora simply blinked.
"What the fuck just happened...?" she muttered, staring at her now-grinning cousin blankly. Jesse just beamed back at her after breaking away for a moment, before continuing the kiss.
 
"This world has gone completely insane." Rhythm muttered, watching Opal continue. As if on cue, Raiquen walked in and blinked at the two couples in the kitchen.
"...Explain why they're doing this during dinner."
 
"Yeeaaaah, no idea. I just kinda walked in here and..." Kirita mumbled.
"Jax did something to Frost, the guy with the pink coat's, drink even though she's DENYING IT," Spirit explained, "and Jesse, the one in the camo t-shirt and red jeans over there, picked up on it. They both just got here, although I don't know how you didn't hear Jesse come in since they had to shoot a bear to get him in."
