• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

"Oh my god, Jax..." Rhythm muttered, chortling. He quickly grabbed a bottle of water and opened it.
"Opal's wearing my white one. She's asleep, and I don't want to wake her. And I don't look decent without a coat, so..." He cut himself off by taking a drink.

"Yes you do..." Zora chuckled from behind him, before making her way into the kitchen while still clinging to the wall.
"You... sure you should be up?" Darkness asked skeptically.
"Nobody else is going to get me food now are they...?"

"You could've just asked one of us for food...Try not to stress yourself too much. We still have the wedding to go through." Rhythm said, staring at her with concern. Eventually he took his gaze off and began pacing for no reason and singing random lyrics quietly to himself.

"I didn't want to burden anyone..." Zora smiled, "I promise I won't..."
"It wouldn't have been a burden..." Darkness muttered.
"Still, I didn't want to risk it..." with that, she clung to the door of the refrigerator as she scoured for options.

Rhythm sat down in a chair and sighed. He suddenly began to feel cold, and wrapped himself with his wings. At the same time, he realized why Opal took his coat.
"Ugh...That one was warm..." He muttered, sneezing.

"If you're that cold, you can borrow mine." Darkness offered, grabbing her infamous trenchcoat as if she were ready to take it off.
It was then that Zora staggered outwith a couple of bananas and the chocolate bar in hand and took a seat. She looked relieved to be off of her weak legs, and she began to speak as she unwrapped the candy bar.
"But that one's almost exactly the same sans the color... I don't see why-" she cut off as she heard knocking at the door.

"It's just different. I don't know why." Rhythm groaned, bringing his legs up onto the chair. He looked like a bunched up mass except for his head.
"It's a bit late and freezing. Who's knocking?"

But before either of them could get it, it looked like the door opened itself.
Darkness blinked at it.
"What the-AAAAGH!" she jumped out of her chair as a young man jumped through the door. Everything about this man was, to be blunt, clashy. From his bright blue hair, spiked up into a mohawk, his silver eyes, his bright pink coat with cyan stripes, bright yellow undershirt, down to his flower-print pants and forest-green boots. He wore a wide grin, and he snickered as he looked at Darkness.
"Am I late?"

Jax made a sound that sounded like a mixture of a "Helloooooo nurse." and a squeal.

"Your pants....they're like a beatiful Hawaiian garden." Jax sighed, in love, "So...I guess you're the oppurtunity that's been knocking. "

Rhythm blinked. From the inital greeting, he could already tell that this guy was nearly as bad as Marshall.
"No, not late at all..." He muttered, still attempting to warm himself more.

"My...pants?" the person asked, bewildered, "Who are you?"
"Frost!" Spirit suddenly exclaimed, "I thought you weren't coming 'till tomorrow!"
"I wasn't. I got bored." he grinned.
From a room in the hallway, Cyndra suddenly stuck her head out.
"Did someone say Frost? Is he finally here?!"

"I'm Jax." she said, a bit shyly, "So, your name's Frost. Your name...it's like a serving of water ice."

She straightened up.

"Your voice..it's like a pile of dynamite with an anvil dropped on it crossed with the laughter of a camel and a bird singing." she continued, "Your hair, it's like an iceberg, because you sunk me right here.

Rhythm hid his face under his wings, attempting not to laugh and fake sleeping. It might work, since he was quite tired, and drowning the lines out would be no problem. Then there was the fact that Jax's voice was quite loud. But he could handle it.

"You're um... confusing me." Frost muttered, "I already have a-" he cut off as Cyndra rounded the corner, screamed at Jax and bit into her shoulder quite violently.
"...girlfriend." he facepalmed.

Rhythm jumped, lost his balance, and toppled off the chair.
"This is getting hectic..." He muttered, getting up and brushing dust off of himself.

"CYNDRA!" Frost shouted, "Let go."
Cyndra growled, then unlocked her jaw and glared at her.
"But she was-"
"It's not her fault she knows I'm sexy."
"...whatever..."

Rhythm blinked, then began to stare at Cyndra and Frost.
"Well, I'm glad you two have such a serious relationship..." He muttered, stretching and sitting back down.
