• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

Jesse snorted.
"I'm only going to try it when they can prove it works."
"Trust me, it works." Spirit mumbled.
"What of Rhythm? He's a perfect gentleman toward Zora a lot of the time and look where that got him." Darkness reasoned, "Or there's Frigo, there's Aidan, Raiquen... And all of them have girlfriends, you don-"
"You can shut up now."

Sephii broke out into full blown laughter.

"So try it, they are many girls that don't have boyfriends in this world." Jax said.

Jesse growled, but said nothing. Darkness just smirked at him.
"See? You know we're right."
"I want proof."
"I just gave you proof!"
"Or did you?"
"She did." Spirit interjected.

Jesse scoffed, then looked away from them. He'd show them. Come tomorrow, that girl would be his. He'd make sure of it.
"He probably won't." Darkness replied snidely.
"Seriously." Spirit agreed.

"True that." Spirit agreed to herself as she watched him stand and wander into the kitchen again.

Meanwhile, our favorite redhead twitched, and her eyes opened. It was easier to move now, but she didn't want to risk walking just yet. So she glanced around and spotted a book on the table, then picked it up, opened it to a random page and began to read it. It wasn't five minutes until she put it down in disgust though.
"What the hell was that...? He shouldn't be sparkling... Real men don't sparkle... whatever... doesn't matter... just a book..." she mumbled, laying her head down again and shutting her eyes.

((Note: I do not mean this to be insulting in any way. I've just wanted to put that gag in there for a while now.))

Jesse didn't hear her, or maybe he only pretended not to, as he went digging through the refrigerator again.
"Thinking we should leave him to think about it." Spirit smiled, "I think he's getting annoyed with us."
"Annoyed already?" Darkness asked dismayedly, " But he just got here! I wasn't finished with him yet!"
"You get some sort of sick amusement out of this, don't y-"
"You can't prove anything."

Rhythm's eyes slowly opened. The brightness of the open window blinded him for a moment, and he closed his eyes quickly. Turning his head, he blinked and tried to remember where he was.
"Ugh...What the..." He muttered, disoriented. Looking around, he saw Opal asleep on his bed. Standing up, he decided that he must have dozed off in the chair. Looking down, he gasped.
"Fuck...Where's my white coat...?"

"It might be fun, but come on. Don't you find it kinda rude?" Spirit asked.
"Nope."
"Not at all."
"No."
---------------
Not being able to hold her eyes closed for more than a minute at a time now, Zora sighed.
"Guess I've slept enough today..." she murmured, adjusting herself again and stretching feebly.

"Nah." Sephii said.

"Negative." Jax said.

Jax grinned.

"Today has certainly been.....weird, to say the least." Sephii said.

Rhythm frantically looked around for that white coat. His eyes rested on Opal, and he sighed. She was wearing it.
"Whatever..." He muttered, looking in a random wardrobe. He pulled out a black coat, nearly the same as his.
"Black's not my color, but oh well..." He put it on, then walked out of the room and towards the kitchen.

"No kidding..." Spirit mumbled, settling back in her chair.
"Seems pretty normal to me." Darkness retorted.
"Are you kidding? Marriage proposals, Marshall getting drunk and all that, then there was the whole thing with Rayne, and Opal, and-"
"WE GET THE POINT."
------------
"Ah, there we are..." Zora mumbled. She'd just now managed to sit up, and she yawned before readjusting the pillows behind her and resting back again.
"Much better..." she now took to brushing some hair out of her face, then she grabbed a different book from nearby and began to read it.
"Well this one certainly looks better than the last..."

As Rhythm walked out, he glanced at a mirror hanging on the wall.
"Ugh, my hair is so stubborn..." He muttered, trudging into the kitchen and blinking at everyone else.
"So what did I miss this time?"

"Nothing, nothing, just some mild teasing an-" Darkness cut off as she saw his coat, "What's with that?"
"Really." Spirit agreed.
------------
Now Zora had set the book down. She felt hungry, and figured now was as good a time as ever to try to walk. She shifted and slid out of the bed, then stumbled out of the room and wound up having to use the wall as support.
