• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

Cyndra had backed off of Marshall and was about to speak, when she saw Minuki, squeaked and ran off. Meanwhile, Frost had taken refuge in the closet Jesse had been hiding in earlier while no one was looking.
Maybe they won't find me here...
"...what just happened?" Zora asked, blinking.

"Cyndra got into a raaaaaagefight." Jax giggled, "Sorry, it was just that hilarious."

"You like unsuspecting people getting beat up by ragers, don't you?" Minuki sighed.

"Guilty as charged." Jax said.

"...Well, damn. I was hoping that would continue." Rhythm muttered, "It's always fun seeing my own brother get beaten."
"Aw, thanks. That really boosts my self-esteem." Marshall growled, dusting himself off.
Slightly snickering, Rhythm turned to Minuki.
"Yeah, sorry about the good time thing. We'll try to stay away from fights while you're here...or at least, I will."

"But it's a bit unnerving that it's my sister..." Zora muttered, "Well, not so much unnerving as...um..." she paused for a moment. "Damn. I can't think of a better word. But ANYway, yeah I'll try to keep away from the fighting while you're around too."
"Same." Darkness grunted. Frost would've said something too, but he was a little bit busy hiding in the closet to care.

As the rest of the group muttered their approval to Minuki, Rhythm sighed and went back to collapsing on the couch. He closed his eyes, then suddenly opened them again and started to look around.
"Hey...where's Frost? He was here a second ago..."

Zora blinked, then looked around.
"I dunno. He was trying to get away though, so..."
"I saw him sli-" Darkness was suddenly interrupted by a loud "SHHHHHH!!" from the closet, and turned around toward it.
"B-but it might have been nothing!" she shouted hurriedly.

"There's no one in here!" Frost called out, hoping maybe she'd be stupid enough to buy it. Probably not.
"Is he some kind of idiot...?" Darkness muttered to herself as she stared at the closet.
"...This is Frost." Zora muttered, "What else do you expect?"
"I dunno. I kinda thought he'dve tried the old lady stunt by now."

"Ah-ha!" Jax said, pulling open the door.

"Just let it go, Jax." Minuki said, "I know people."

"People...you mean..."

"Yep...I can tell him you're being an idiot again. And then...BAM!"

She made a punching motion with her hand.

...But when she opened the door, there stood a very masculine old woman wrapped up so much in a shawl that you couldn't see "her" face.
"... I stand corrected." Darkness commented.
Zora facepalmed.
"Frost, come on. Honestly."

Meanwhile, just outside, a white-haired man chuckled as he watched the antics through the window.
"My my it's been a while." Storm laughed, "I missed them." with that, he walked up and knocked lightly on the door. Fairwind had arranged this (how she was alive again was beyond him), hoping to give their sister a pleasant surprise.
Plus word of the wedding.

Jax turned to the window.

"Oh my gosh, it's Godot." Jax screamed, running to the window, "Oh wait...it's only...Storm."

Storm chuckled as he walked through the door. "Hello all! Long time, no see!"
"Hi Storm!" Zora cheered. She wanted to go and greet him, but she was too comfortable. "What brings you here?"
"Well you two are to be wed, right? I wanted to be here!"
At that moment, Windfall opened her eyes to see her brother, and on her face came the biggest grin you've ever seen.
"STORM!!"

"Nice to see you. How've you been?" Jax asked.

Minuki walked into the kitchen to get herself a soda. She felt a strange urge to go out into the snow. It sure was beautiful.

"I'm going outside." she said, "For a bit, don't worry."

Minuki walked into the swirling wonderland of sparkling, white pleasure, that filled her senses with cascading fluffy pillows of comfort and excitement as no human had never felt before.

"I've been good!" Storm laughed, as he looked out the window. "Sure was cold though. I wonder if my friend will be OK."
"What friend?" Darkness asked.
"His name is Mariano, and he-" Storm cut off as a purple-haired boy ran up and kissed Minuki (they could see it from the window). "Oh look, there he is."
"...Nice entrance."

Mariano chuckled.
"I been... good. And you, my pet?"
Darkness muttered something as she watched him from her seat near the window, then stood up.
"Ugh, I've been sitting too long." she paced around a bit, stretching out as she did so.
Meanwhile, Storm turned to his sister.
"Windfall. How have you been since I last saw you, hm?"
"Had a cold... still do." Windfall coughed, "But I've been just fine."

Darkness continued to pace around.
"Maan, how long have I been sitting?" she stretched again and her back cracked.
"A couple hours." Storm replied, turning to her. She just grunted, eying her sister. Didn't seem to be doing anything important, so she shrugged and walked into the kitchen as Storm looked back at his sister.
"Well, that's good to hear. Except for the cold part. You gonna be better by tomorrow?"
"I should be..."

"Just take some medicine and you'll be fine....Windfall, right?" Minuki said.

"Today was really odd." Jax said, "And very awkward...."
