Closed X: The step into other worlds

"Yeah, I get it." Zora mumbled plainly, stretching out and yawning.
"Some friends, to need time away from them..." Darkness muttered. "Yes Windfall, it was."
"Hmmm..." Windfall coughed again, "Well meh..."
 
Rhythm had leaned back in his chair and had been completely ignoring everything until this point, at which time he began to fidget in order to get comfortable. Meanwhile, Landon had fallen asleep and was breathing through his nose very silently.

Raith let out a breath that he had been holding in after the question had been asked.
"Glad I got that off my chest..."
 
"I'm sure I do." Zora grumbled, yawning as soon as she said it.
"No you don't." Darkness retorted.
"Do too."
"Do not."
"Do-"
"Shut up..." Windfall moaned.

Starlight smiled at him.
"You look like it. Well, I guess this means we're... together, now..." she coughed nervously. Hopefully he wouldn't end up like the rest, but he seemed like a very trustworthy person, so she doubted it.
 
"Trust me, you don't." Minuki groaned, "Do you have a friend who beats up your other friend on a daily basis?"

She looked at the group.

"My other other friend is pretty cool." she said, "Blunt, to the point, kind of like me."
 
Rhythm was still fidgeting. Eventually, he just sighed and gave up.
"I can see why you'd need time away from them then. I'd get pretty tired if I had to deal with that all day." He muttered.

"I suppose so..." Raith said, clearing his throat out of nervousness.
"No one's going to expect us to be together..." He chuckled, "Should come as a bit of a shock to them..."
 
"...We have a sister who does that." Zora answered with a rather awkward grin.
"Speaking of that, I wonder if she's OK..." Darkness sighed, "She was pretty distraught..."

"It would..." Starlight laughed, "I'd like to see the looks on their faces... think we should tell them now, or wait?"
 
"Aye, she was..." Rhythm agreed, leaning over onto Zora gently. He glanced up at the ceiling, and first began to think about food, but that quickly changed to thoughts about the wedding.

Raith thought about it for a moment, then looked up.
"Well, they're bound to discover it anyways, so we might as well break it to them now..."
 
((Trust me, it'll come))

"I'll go check on her then." Darkness then got up and stretched, then proceeded to walk down the hallway toward the room they had entered.
Zora blinked at Rhythm a moment as she felt the weight of him suddenly leaning on her, then sighed.
"Hope she's OK..."

"Right then." Starlight took his hand and stood again, "Then let's go tell them."

"Same here." Rhythm sighed, breaking out of his trance of thoughts. He shuffled a bit, then settled down.
"You're quite comfortable."

Raith smiled, and floated up to a straight position, and began to move towards the door, still hand-in-hand with Starlight.
 
Jax looked around.

"Maybe if I can find Frost again...maybe he can enjoy my new pickup lines...hehehe." she whispered to herself.
 
"Um... thanks." Zora mumbled. It was rather... odd, hearing someone say that, but she took it as a compliment anyway.

Darkness gently rapped on the door, receiving a masculine "go away" in response.
"Come on, Frost, it's only me. Is Cyndra in there? Is she OK?"
"She's fine."

Starlight walked with him toward the door and out into the hallway. She inhaled sharply as she saw the others. How would they react?
 
Jax turned to Rhythm.

"That's something Yakko would say." Jax said, smirking.

Hope Frost comes out soon, not with that brat tailing him. she thought.
 
"No, no. Yakko would be saying...no, rather, yelling 'HELLLLLOOOO NURSE'." Rhythm sighed, fidgeting and shuffling a bit more in order to get comfortable. Eventually, he was content and closed his eyes, but abruptly opened them again, for he saw Starlight and Raith in the hallway...holding hands.
"I suppose there's a logical reason for what I see right now..." Rhythm muttered.
"Um...Yeah...Well, uh..." Raith began, but he couldn't quite find the words, so he looked to Starlight for help.
 
Zora blinked at them confusedly.
"What the... what?"
As Darkness came down the hall with Frost in tow (Cyndra had said she would be out in a minute), they spotted Starlight and Raith.
"What the fuck...?" Darkness whispered to herself.
Starlight just smiled and tilted her hat up.
"It's a bit hard to explain, but... we're together now."
 
Jax immediately ran up to Frost.

"Y'know, I like my men like I like my coffee..." Jax said, "Strong, bitter, with a spoon in them, and in a stryafoam cup."
 
Rhythm opened and closed his mouth multiple times in attempts to find something to say. But he just couldn't. Raith knew what he was thinking though.
"Don't worry, I'm shocked too." He said, smiling.
"But, how...how did-" Rhythm stammered.
"I don't know...But I'm not complaining."
