Closed X: The step into other worlds

"Hm..." Landon sighed, lost in thought. Rhythm leaned back in his chair, sighing and thinking about what had happened on this day. There was always so much going on.
----------
Raith sighed, grabbed his halberd, and slowly began to float towards her.
"If you want to take your anger out, take it out on me. Don't destroy something that we need."

Zora slowly rose from her chair and took a few steps forward.
"Looks like I can walk again... good. That chair was getting uncomfortable."
-------------
"If you're sure..." Starlight mumbled, raising one of her katanas and taking a swing. She didn't want to hurt him, but it would feel good to take her frustration out on something.

Rhythm was seriously relieved at the sight of Zora walking again.
"Good. I don't think there's any other blockades for the wedding now..."
----------
Raith flinched as the katana sliced his arm. His expression was of pain and alertness. He had also completely forgotten to raise his halberd to block. He wouldn't miss that chance again.
"Go on...It doesn't matter to me..."

"Aye, me either." Zora muttered, walking over and taking the seat next to him. "Thankfully."
It was then that Darkness walked back out.
"Looks like I didn't need to tell her."
-------------
"Oh... oh dear..." Starlight's expression was one of concern, "I'm sorry, I thought you'd block that... are you alright? Here, let me..." she took his arm and cast the silver glow around her hand, placing it over the fresh wound. "This should heal it."

Rhythm smiled, reached over, and wrapped his arm around Zora. As Minuki entered, he straightened up a bit.
"Aye, not much. Where do you come from?"
----------
Raith gently pulled his arm out of her grip.
"You can heal me all you want afterward. You're still angry, I can sense it. Go." He growled, tightening his grip on his halberd.

Zora glanced at his arm, then smiled, rested her head on his shoulder and looked up at Minuki.
"Yes, where?"
Darkness again mumbled something inaudible as she took her seat by the window, but this time it sounded a bit like "I'd kinda like to know".
------------------
"Alright... keep yourself ready." Starlight tightened her grip on the blade in her left hand and swung it. Now that she thought about it, this did feel pretty good.

Rhythm stared at Minuki for a moment, before realizing what she said.
"Oh. New York. Never been a city person. This must feel different for you."
----------
Raith was able to block it this time, and he braced himself.
"Come on. Faster!" He pushed. He was willing to do anything to get rid of her anger.

"Nice accent." Zora chuckled, "Certainly is a change from those southern accents a lot of the people I know have."
"Oh don't even bring up southern accents." Darkness moaned.
-------------
As soon as he said faster, Starlight began swinging both of her katanas at him as fast as she could. It was tiring, but she could feel her rage fading.

Rhythm sighed happily. Whenever something like this happened, he would always restrain an urge to laugh. It felt good to be around friends like this.
----------
Raith took a few hits, but mostly blocked. He kept blocking until all his strength was gone, and then just dropped his halberd and braced himself for more slices.
"It doesn't matter..." He muttered.

"What? You still can't get over that week at Frigo's?" Zora asked, smirking. She glanced over at Rhythm and the smirk turned into a smile though. He looked happy.
"When you have to listen to it for that long with his mother chasing you around the house with a frying pan because you let your tongue slip one freaking time, you get a little sick of it..." Darkness mumbled.
-------------------
After a little while, Starlight dropped her katanas and gasped. She was tired, out of breath, beads of sweat were rolling off of her face, and most of all, she was smiling.
"That felt... awesome..." she breathed.

Rhythm couldn't help but laugh at that.
"A frying pan? Wow...I can just imagine that right now..." He snickered, lazing back in the chair.
"You guys have some crazy adventures." Landon chuckled.
----------
Raith let his coat fall and examined the slices on his arms. There were a few that were deep, but most were just normal cuts. Then he felt a some sort of liquid run down the side of his face, and he sighed.
"You must have scraped my head too. All in all, I'm glad you're feeling better..."

"It was craaaazy." Darkness laughed, "She isn't the smallest woman in the world; picture one of those southern black grandmas but white. She's got a thing about swearing. I stubbed my toe and I happened to drop the f-bomb and... you can guess the rest."
--------------
"Thank you..." Starlight gasped, staggering over to the bed and falling back on it, "Really helped... I can take care of the cuts now if you want..."

This time, both Rhythm and Landon burst out laughing.
"Oh wow. I should have been there." Rhythm chuckled. Landon was too busy laughing to say anything.
----------
Raith sat on the bed next to her, sighing.
"Let me bleed for all I care. I never cared about my body. Probably never will...If you want to heal them, then go ahead."

"Wow." Zora laughed, "You never told me that much before."
"Yeah, well, it wasn't funny at the time." Darkness sighed.
-------------------
"It's really only one I'm concerned about..." Starlight sat up and took his arm, "That first one was pretty nasty and I feel bad just letting it be like that if you weren't prepared for it. The rest should be OK." she cast the silver glow and lay her hand on the cut again.

Rhythm took a deep breath, smiled, and lazed back in his chair. Landon stood up, stretched and sighed.
"Do you guys have an open room for me?"
----------
Raith suddenly drew in a sharp intake of breath as soon as Starlight lay her hand on his arm. He twitched slightly.
"Your hand is freezing cold..."

"There's still a bunch open back there. Like I said, the house is far bigger than it looks on the outside." Zora stated, "In fact, I'm pretty sure the room next to the bathroom without a tub is free."
"It is." Darkness confirmed.
---------------------
A few seconds after he said that, Starlight removed her hand from his arm and smiled.
"Sorry. It's from the healing spell. At least, I'm pretty sure it is. I haven't been able to confirm that myself since, y'know, my hands never really feel all that cold to me. Either way it's fixed."

"I'll take anything you guys are willing to offer me. Although...A bathroom without a tub?" Landon muttered.
"Again, you can probably blame Acacia." Rhythm yawned.
----------
"Oh. Thank you." Raith said, smiling. He spared a glance at her hand.
"Are you sure you can't feel the cold...?" He muttered, taking her hand gently in his. Just as he expected, it was freezing. And then he realized what he was doing.
"Oh...I, uh..."
