Closed X: The step into other worlds

"That is true." Zora stated, "That's the entire reason she bought the house in the first place."
"I kinda wish it would stop snowing though." Darkness mumbled.

Kirita buried her face in his shoulder.
"Thank you..." she cried, before finally quieting and just holding onto him, the tears slowly rolling off of her face and onto his shirt.
 
"The snow just happened to start right before our wedding...I"m not complaining though." Rhythm said, leaning against the nearest wall.
"Wedding? What wedding?" Landon asked, confused.

Raiquen held her tighter, not speaking a word. If they were able to find this 'family', then it would mean the world to Kirita. But, if they couldn't...No. He couldn't think like that. Raiquen sighed, just letting Kirita hold on to him for as long as she needed.
 
Zora smirked.
"Me and him." she pointed at Rhythm, "Tomorrow."
"Mmhmm... Speaking of that, I wonder if they've got his suit tailored yet..." Darkness mumbled.

Kirita sobbed once more, before the tears finally slowed.
"Do you... do you really think we'd be able to find them...?"
 
Jax started to kick stuff around and break vases in the room she was in.

"Anyone here? If so, WANNA FIGHT?" she screeched, "Like the pathetic trash as people are!"
 
"Ah, I see. Congratulations, you two." Landon smiled, patting Rhythm on the back. Rhythm nervously chuckled.
"Thanks. Will you be staying long enough to attend?"
"I'll stay as long as you people want me to."
"Then it's settled."

Raiquen let out a sigh of relief as Kirita stopped sobbing.
"Yes, dear...We will find them, no matter what it takes..."

Raith was simply hovering in place towards the back of the room when Jax barged in and began to terrorize the room and screamed.
"Jax, Jax, Jax...What's gotten into you this time?"
 
"Ah, good." Zora smiled again. She then heard the sound of someone singing nearby and glanced around. Carmina was sitting there patiently, and it obviously wasn't Rhythm or Landon. That only left...
"...Darkness? Is that you?"
"Hmwha...?" as soon as she spoke, the singing stopped.

Kirita again whispered a "thank you", then rested her head against Rai's shoulder and closed her eyes. She was very close to sleep after that breakdown.
 
Rhythm snickered, then looked over at the seat where Opal was. She was sprawled over it, fast asleep.
"I don't know how the fuck she sleeps through things like this."
"I don't know either. My sister does it all the time. You get used to it after a while." Landon muttered, falling into the nearest seat.

Raiquen laid back in his chair, sighing. As Kirita slowly began to fall asleep in his arms, he felt like he was about to fall asleep too. He didn't close his eyes, however, just simply stared at the ceiling with no visible expression on his face,

Raith sighed, gliding out of the way as Jax lunged.
"Oh, Jax. Jealousy always gets the best of us..."
 
"JEALOUS? YOU SAYING I'M JEALOUS? IS THAT WHAT YOU SAYING?" Jax yelled.

Suddenly, a knock came on the front door.

(Introducing a new character)
 
"Wish I could sleep like that." Zora muttered.
"Really." Darkness agreed, before hearing the knock on the door. "I got it." She stood up and walked toward the door to answer it.
Carmina just blinked at Opal.
"Daaaaamn."

Kirita mumbled something inaudible, opening her eyes one last time at a distant shouting and some knocking, before finally falling asleep.
 
Outside the door was a black-haired girl. Her hair was long, a few inches under her neck. She was wearing a black tank top with ripped up jeans. Across her shoulderes was a black cape.

If you had looked her in the face, you would have been slightly creeped out. She had one pink and one green eye.
 
Landon stared blankly at the sudden arrival.
"You guys seem to be getting a ton of new people today..." He muttered. Rhythm shrugged.
"Doesn't matter to me. The more, the merrier."

Raiquen stared at the ceiling blankly for a few more minutes, looked down at Kirita, then laid back and slowly drifted off into sleep.

"Quiet down, Jax." Raith growled, "I know you're angry, but please, calm down." He sighed. This was getting nowhere. Jax was too angry to be reasoned with.
 
"Exactly." Zora laughed.
Darkness continued to stare outside, mumbling something about the screaming in the other room.

"WILL YOU SHUT UP!" a voice roared from the other side of the door. It slammed open, revealing a very angry Starlight with her katanas out.
 
The girl heard loud noises come from a nearby room.

"Name's Minuki. Tell Deax I'm here." she said quickly, rushing into the room.

"HOLD IT! HOLD ITTT!" she cried at Jax.

Jax turned around and saw Minuki giving her a death glare AND Starlight with her katanas. She stopped in her tracks and ran out of the room.

"And here, I thought I was going to be away from nutso fighting." Minuki said.
 
Rhythm sighed, listening to the yelling in the other room. Jax was probably taking out her anger on someone, but he figured that everyone would be alright afterward. Meanwhile, Landon just sat there staring into space, thinking about what would happen next.

Raith stared at the new arrival in confusion, then glanced at Starlight with her katanas and quickly levitated his halberd in front of him. She looked overtaken with anger, and he knew this was not going to end good.
"Starlight...don't do anything rash now..."
 
"I know what this is about. I'll talk to her when she comes back out here." Zora sighed.
"I guess I better go find Deax..." Darkness mumbled, standing up and walking down the hall.

"Well you'd be pissed too if you got woken up by that!" Starlight snapped, stabbing one of her katanas into the wall and pulling it out just as suddenly as it went in.
"God that felt good..."
 
"I'm surprised everyone's asleep with all that yelling going on..." Rhythm muttered.
"...Exactly how many people live here...?" Landon asked hesitantly.

"Starlight! Calm down!" Raith growled as she stabbed the katana into the wall. To be honest, he didn't really believe that any one of them would come out of this unscathed. He chose not to reason with her anymore, and just waited.
 
"Quite a lot." Zora mumbled, "This house is bigger than it looks on the outside." she sighed and took to watching out the window. Meanwhile, Carmina had finally nodded off.

Starlight glared at him a moment. She was considering her options. On the one hand, he was right; it was petty to get angry to the point of destroying things. On the other, she was really pissed off right now.
 
"Minuki!!" Deax cried, grabbing her by the arm, "Glad you could make it."

"Yeah...I had to get away from the daily pigeon fights." Minuki muttered, "Of all the pigeons in New York, I had to be stuck with them."
