Closed X: The step into other worlds

"Intimidated does not mean scared...It just means..." Aidan said, pausing for a moment to think, and also restraining the laughter from Darkness's comment. He failed to come up with another meaning, and sighed.
"Well, whatever..." He said, getting off the couch hastily.
"Alright then..." Rhythm agreed, leaning back and stretching again.
Opal shuffled her feet, trying to think of something to say. Unfortunately, she couldn't. Glancing around, she caught a glimpse of the door and decided to leave.
"So, I uh...I guess I'll see you later then..." She muttered, quickly walking out.

"Petrified? Terrified? Creeped out?" Jax laughed at Aidan, "Sorry. Had to. Guess you aren't used to creatures and things...."

Darkness just smiled and motioned them away as they tried to follow him.
"Come on guys, leave him alone. You've done enough." the two demon girls proceeded to get off the couch and move to different chairs, and Darkness sat down.
Skye shrugged.
"So much for that."
Zora yawned.
"Gettin' kinda tired...again."
Meanwhile, Jesse watched her leave, then fell backwards on his bed, a broad grin on his face.
"Man that was awesome..." If this were a cartoon, he'd have hearts in his eyes.

"Thanks Darky. And no, Jax, I'm not. It's new to me." Aidan said, flopping onto the couch again.
"That was great." Melody smiled. Aidan looked at her scornfully but said nothing.
Rhythm blinked at Zor confusedly.
"Again? Wow. I'm that boring?"
Opal entered her room, and jumped onto the bed face-first.
"I cannot believe I just did that..." She said, burying her face in her pillow.

"You're welcome." Darkness snickered under her breath. She hadn't approved, but it HAD been funny...
"Yeah it was." Skye agreed, grinning at Aidan.
"No no, it isn't you dear." Zora laughed, reaching over and hugging him tight. "I've been like this. It's not your fault. I was enjoying our little chat."
Jesse proceeded to sit up again and made a thinking face.
"Wonder why she did that... " he muttered. "It isn't like I'm complaining, but..."

Aidan sighed, a small smile forming across his face. He turned his head and stared out the window, yawning.
Melody stretched out on her chair and relaxed, a grin still wide across her face from what just happened.
Rhythm smiled, hugging her back.
"Haha, OK, I trust you with that."
Opal laid there for a while longer, then turned over and stared at the ceiling, deep in though.

And then Darkness blinked as she finally bit into her doughnut.
"So... what now?"
"Hell if I know." Skye shrugged.
"As well you should." Zora winked at him. She had a wide grin on her face.
Jesse still sat there, staring at the floor. His sister had laughed at him. And now look what had happened. He pondered for a moment going in and rubbing it in her face...
"Nah... I'll keep that secret."

Aidan shrugged at Darkness's question, still staring out the window.
Meanwhile, Melody stood up and stretched.
"Now that all the excitement's over...I'm going to my room." She muttered, walking off towards the hallway.
Rhythm mirrored the wide grin that Zora wore. After a few seconds, he reached over and kissed her.
Opal continued to stare at the ceiling, thinking about what she had done. After a while, she got off the bed and stretched.
"Aah...Let's just keep that secret for now..." She told herself.

"Meh... gotta be somethin' here." Darkness yawned. "There can't not be."
Skye waved at her.
"You have fun with that."
Zors leaned into the kiss, a bit surprised. But, why complain? She liked these random little surprise things he did.
It was about then that Jesse started fidgeting with the blanket on his bed, just wondering about stuff. Though try as he might, he couldn't get it off his mind.
"Wonder what she's thinkin' right now..."

"Ehh, something'll show up. Either that or we can all go to sleep...which will probably not happen. Now then, I am thirsty." Aidan muttered, standing up with grace and stretching. As he walked past Darkness towards the kitchen, he ruffled her hair.
Rhythm broke the kiss and smiled at Zora, looking straight into her green eyes.
"Hey Aidan, could you grab me something to drink too?" He said, not breaking eye contact with her.
Opal soon started contemplating walking into the room Jesse was in and just...talking to him. Then she realized that she was way too embarrassed already, and decided not to.
"Sometimes I wonder if I really am insane..."

Darkness giggled girlishly, smoothing her hair back out. She had a huge grin on her face.
Zora also didn't break eye contact with him. Shining blue eyes... she liked that color. She had the feeling something was about to go down, but whatever it was couldn't be that bad... could it? Ah well, best not to ruin a moment.
And just at that moment, Cyndra poked her head out of the room she was in.
"I heard drinks..." she muttered to herself, creeping out and slipping behind a chair in order to hide.
Meanwhile, Jesse twiddled his thumbs as he lay there. Maybe he should... go and talk to her?
"Nah, she's probably too embarrassed... I thought it was kinda cute..." he smiled to himself.

Aidan walked back out, tossing a water bottle towards Rhythm, who caught it with expert precision.
"Nice." Aidan commented, as he threw himself onto an empty couch.
"Thanks." Rhythm said, finally breaking eye contact to set his drink on a table. He then resumed looking into Zor's eyes.
"You know, I could stare into your eyes for days..."
Aidan yawned, then also set his drink on a table nearby. He then turned his gaze towards Darkness and sat back up.
"Hey, Darky, you know what you should do?"
Opal stayed as still as a statue, just thinking. Eventually, she gave in and stood up.
"I really should talk to him...I miss-" she cut herself off, shaking her head and walking out into the hall.

Zora blushed lightly, a grin forming on her face.
"I could say the same to you, you know... your eyes are lovely..."
Darkness, still giggling, turned around to face him.
"What should I do, hun?"
Cyndra slowly crept up on the drink sitting next to Rhythm. she carefully untwisted the cap and dripped some of her stuff inside. After closing it tightly, she went immediately for Aidan's. While contemplating whether this'd be a good idea, of course. She didn't really care.
"Wonder if she's OK..." Jesse sighed. "After all, it's not like anyone has to know yet..."

Rhythm smiled lightly, reaching over and playing with her hair.
"You know...you're one of those girls that could get anyone you wanted. I guess I'm just really lucky you chose me..."
Aidan outstretched his arms, smiling.
"You should come cuddle with me. I miss you."
Opal stopped right outside his door and took a deep breath. She walked in and stood in the doorway.
"...H-Hey, Jesse." She said, blushing madly.

Zora made a light squeeing noise in her throat. She didn't mean to do it, but it just kinda came out.
I'm flattered that you think so..."
Darkness smiled and rushed over to him, almost pouncing on him before she realized she might hurt him doing so. Instead she sat down on his lap gently and hugged him.
Next up, Cyndra did the same to Rhythm's drink, then went the same way she came and fled back into the hall before anyone could see her.
Jesse immediately sat up, blinking at her.
"Hello, miss..."

Rhythm's grin grew wider as he heard Zora squee. He continued to play with her hair, not wanting to take his eyes off of her.
"I love you...I'm so glad that I'm getting married to you..."
Aidan wrapped his arms around Darkness, smiling.
"Comfortable, Darky?"
Opal walked into the room slowly, extremely nervous. His eyes, his face, his body...All of him was just wonderful. She kept those thoughts to herself, though.
"I'm sure you've been thinking about what happened, like I was..."

"I love you too... I'm glad I'm marrying you too..." Zora sighed. This... this was worth it. Just the glow in her eyes would tell you she was positively mirthful.
Darkness purred, shifting a little to make herself comfortable.
"Now I am."
Cyndra slipped back into her room with a small smirk. Frost sat on her bed, looking a bit concerned.
"What did you-"
"Mischief managed. Now... where were we?"
Jesse nodded. His eyes were locked onto her. Positively perfect. His face remained neutral. He was feeling a bit... self-conscious, right about now..
"Yes, I have... Why d'ya bring it up...?"

Jax jumped up with a start.

"You know, we should have a party before the wedding." Jax said, "Like those things you see in sitcoms. What are they called again?"

"Bachelor parties." Deax said.

Rhythm looked askance at Jax, with a mixed expression of disbelief and laughter in his face.
"A bachelor party? Really, Jax?"
"It doesn't seem like a bad idea, Rhythm..." Aidan said, reaching up and playing with Darkness's hair.
"...Alright, Jax, we'll have it your way. Bachelor party." Rhythm said, with slight reluctance in his voice.
"Oh, just...wanted to...make sure I wasn't the only one." Opal muttered, quite nervously. She kept trying to make eye contact as she walked over and sat next to him, but turned away every time she looked at him out of fear and nervousness.
