• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

You can't make this stuff up

Phantom

Uh, I didn't do it.
So, what are some weird/just plain outrageous things you've heard happened recently? They can be from word of mouth, news, wherever.

Like, the other day I heard about this one on the radio. What an asstard.

Even the BBC think clickbaity headlines are better than ones that actually give you any information

This story does not possess the most flattering imagery of people with missing limbs unfortunately, so I apologise in advance. However, I think that this has been my favourite news story to appear so far in recent media.

For people who can't be bothered to open the link:
A drunk passenger on a flight to Scotland demanded cigarettes and parachute from the flight crew before getting violent, slapping the passenger next to her and then removing her prosthetic leg and attacking the flight crew with it. The flight crew have to make an emergency landing in Gatwick (London) to let her off and as this happens the other passengers burst out into their own rendition of the Hokey Cokey.

Okay, so one time my friends told me about a newscast where a father dared his son to skateboard slowly behind the news reporter, with both his middle fingers up. He did it, and got, like, 50 dollars.

What a wonderful country I live in.
