• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • oh, and what would you think about a swanna with Rain Dance, Hurricane, Hidden Power (dragon), and like, Surf, Ice Beam, or Roost? This isn't for you I'm just thinking about my rain dance team.
well, in my opinion, if your Yanmega has speed boost (which it really should, tinted lens and frisk don't really do anything for it), you don't need nearly as much investment in speed at all, especially if it is timid. I think you could pull it off with 252 sAtk, 128 Spd, 128 Hp, and I say Hp because there will inevitably be the one person running Ancient Power on their Omanyte or something and you'll just be done, but that's up to you if you want to do defense still.

Now, I'm going to assume you're being relatively smart and running Bug Buzz/Air Slash/HP ground/Giga Drain\Roost\Supersonic\something else along any of those lines. If not, well then I'm a bit disappointed in you. If you do Giga Drain (which would be nice if you want to do anything against water types, most notably Swampert), then I would suggest choice specs, but you might be able to pull Life Orb otherwise.
Well drifblim just got a bunch more options because of Flare boost, if you're interested, and Dragonite is always a nice option... Crobat makes a superb lead, and yanmega is just borken somtimes... Honchkrow is always fun, as is Pelipper, altaria, and salamence, Staraptor and Vespiquen can be pretty decent, and Arhaeops is pretty awesome if you can deal with its ability. Wargle and Mandibuzz look like they would be nice.

So, I guess my question is what's yer purpose?
pleasee don't. i have exams, extra credit, and won't be on until saturday night after i finish my hw tonight :c
Definitely not. They're disgusting and also their size itself is unnerving. Especially if you find one on you somehow.

I... have no idea why I want them in ASB. They're useful, though; Kaleidoscope is amazing and they have great abilities and designs in general. Pinsir is the only bug type I actively dislike, really, and the rest are somewhere from tolerable to great.

    Why do you ask?
No, that's fine; I just figured you might be able to provide some useful information, because of your experience in 5th gen meta, which I have none of.
Okay, so I'm building this turbo-pro rain dance team. (Theoretically, of course)

And so far I have for definites:

Special sweeper omastar w/swift swim and rain dance, probably holding a wet stone or whatever

Physical DDance whishcash with hydration, mostly for teh lulz

Turbo action wall bronzong with levitate, rain dance, toxic, explosion, and extrasensory (for its pp)

Super sweeping galvantula with 91% accuracy thunder and hidden power ice

But, my problem is I can't come up with the other two pokemon I want. I think I want another physical sweeper and a wall, and yet flare boost drifblim withbrain dance and thunder beckons to me. You know fifth gen meta (at least, better than me), what pokemon should I use to finish the team? I would like the final two to benefit from rain too, but if they din't its perfectly fine.
