[09] Negrek vs Chiropter (ref: moon-panther)

Um... Acheron should have been Confused by the Dynamicpunch. Also, what do you mean by Blizzard "failing"? Do you mean it missed entirely, or did it just not successfully freeze Acheron?

Blizzard didn't work at all. It missed, horribly. As for the Confused thing...one sec, I'll fix that when I get home.

Alright, I did the RNG rolls and added the Confusion. But as it appears, the RNG gods just jerks. Sorry buddy.

blaaah RNG gods

All right, it’s all up to you now, Agro!

I’m going to release you in the pond, so you’ll be in your element for now. If you can, try to keep your body underwater when you’re not attacking, and maybe give yourself a little extra evasion that way. In any event, try to stay in or near the water no matter what Sparky does.

Got that? Good, now for attacks. If nothing weird happens, just go with this: Water Pulse, Ice Beam, Hydro Pump.

If she uses any physical attack, Counter it.

If she successfully uses Toxic or Attract, respond in kind with Toxic if it happens on the first action, with Attract if it happens on the second, and Toxic if it happens on the third (unless you already successfully poisoned her on the first action, in which case don’t bother). Also do this if she manages to Paralyze you with Dragonbreath. If you’re Taunted when any of this happens, just fall back on your other commands.

Water Pulse/Counter/Toxic ~ Ice Beam/Counter/Attract ~ Hydro Pump/Counter/Toxic

Okay, Sparky, let's show that little gator what some real teeth look like!

Start by showing off your predatory prowess by snapping that totodile up in your claws and flying off with him. He shouldn't be too deep below the surface of the water, so just reach in and pluck him out on your way up; grab him by the back of the neck if at all possible, though, so that he'll be facing the ground and not you while you carry him off.

Once that's done, duck down and breathe a dragonbreath over him while he's hanging there helpless; if we're lucky, we can get some paralysis in with the damage. After that, spit some toxic on him.

Hopefully Agro won't be able to do much to you while he's clutched in your claws, but if he does manage to hit you with something and it makes you lose your grip... oh, well. Just make sure you don't drop him back in the water. I imagine his landing won't be too pleasant.

If Agro is on the ground, first trap him in a rock tomb, then chill, if you have the time.

~Round Seven~

The trainers on either side of the field stare each other down, his hands drifting over the last pokemon that will be issued in this battle. They both choose their last battler carefully, thinking of multiple plans on how to cause the down fall of the other. The Ref looks on at the intense moment with boredom and reminds them that they need to choose before the time frame of the round’s tourney expires. Both trainers nod their heads, one giving a Ref a small smirk and a comment on who pays her cheque, and send their chosen pokemon to the field. On one side stood a small baby gator of sorts, donning red bump like spikes and a wide fanged grin. The small gator wattles over to the pond and dives in as was commanded as a starting place. He lurks a bit under the water and keeps her eyes on the space where his opponent will reside.. On the other side, a large prehistoric avian stretches out her wings and yawns, looking around at the field with a bored expression. Their trainers call out their orders, causing both pokemon to jump to attention.

Sparky stretches out her wings to full length and takes to the air. She circles the air and surveys the surface of the water carefully for her blue dance partner on this battle. A flash of red among the blue pond signals her to drop from the air and snatch the pesky gator up in her talons. Her claws sink into the small water critter’s body as she climb higher into the sky, causing Agro to twist in her grasp and try to pry himself away with little result. He continues to twist himself until he was close to one of her legs. He may have been in pain, but he was ready to send a good amount back of his own. He gathers the pain in his body and uses it has fuel to issue his violent attack on the flyer’s lower flank by scratching and biting what he can to cause double the amount of damage received upon her.

Sparky let out a pained growl and leaned her neck down, her eyes glaring at the nasty little croc. She takes a deep breath and collects energy within her body, drawing old smells from the dawn of time and prehistoric dust settled in her body. She then releases a purple smoke that envelops Agro. The little totodile struggles against the smoke, finding the smell very pungent and slightly like the morning breath of a old windy dragon before they brush their fangs. He shivers a bit and coughs, trying to wave the smoke away with her stubby arms. Sparky chuckles under her breath and turns in the air, now flying over the hard ground below that looks quite roughed up from pervious battles. Agro growls under his breath, not noticing that he was now the height of two houses above the hard ground below, and starts to concentrate on his next attack. His body shakes as the temperature within his tiny body drops dramatically, the warm air from the surroundings creating a soft mist in his mouth. He tilts his head up and released the suppressed temperature at the under belly of the ancient pokemon that was keeping him in the air. Sparky let out a yelp and jerks, causing them both to fall a short distance before she righted herself again. The slight fall was enough to have the poor little croc screech, his small limbs flailing comically.

Despite the obvious amusement of the totodile’s flailing in Sparky’s eyes, she did not appreciate the frosty hello from the runt. She starts to cough violently, hacking up dust and rock bits, and drawing deep into her hard body for the ancient toxins residing in her being. With another fit of coughing, she gathers the vile poison and swivels her head to face the baby crocodile, spiting the purple ooze onto his face with no remorse.

Argo spits and flails his arms some more, trying to wipe the sticky ooze from his face. He shivers as the poison leeches onto his skin and sink into his body, a sick sensation appearing in his gut. He screws his eyes shut to prevent any of the toxins to get into his eyes and tries to gather toxins of his own to repay the favor. He coughs and hacks just as Sparky did, gathering the toxins in his body into his fanged maw. He then opens one of his eyes and spits up at Sparky in hopes that it would land on her and not fall back on him. As if by the power of the poison gods themselves, the ooze does hit the underside of Sparky with little of in dripping back on Agro’s head. Sparky hisses, her tail lashing behind her as he feels the ooze seep into her skin.

- Negrek Attacks First.
- Both pokemon used Toxic.
- Agro has purple gunk on his face.
- Sparky has purple gunk on his underside.
- Somehow Sparky is able to continue to hold Agro up. Strange indeed.
- I can’t be the only one that think Dragonbreath would be smelly…right?
- Negrek attacks first.

So much for that, Sparky. Let's let our charge drop--onto solid ground, if you please. If he's a little reluctant to let go, use your tail to beat him over the head until he falls; I imagine you'd find his clingy behavior rather frustrating.

Next, seal him up in a rock tomb if you can summon one from where you are. Otherwise, whip up a sandstorm. If Crunch is still hanging onto you somehow, flail around with struggle to get rid of him.

For your last action, chill.

Drop Crunch / Frustration ~ Rock Tomb / Sandstorm / Struggle ~ Chill

Crapcrapcrap sorry I'm late.

Okay. I’d rather you not get knocked off, Agro, as then Sparky’d probably be out of range of anything you can do. So with that in mind, I’d like you to grab onto her leg as tight as you can - use your teeth if you have to - and use Protect. That should keep Frustration from knocking you off, and if not, it should hopefully negate any damage from the fall.

If you managed to stay on…well, first of all try to maneuver yourself to a more secure position (or stay where you are if that felt secure enough), and attempt another Protect against Struggle to again avoid being thrown off. Should this succeed, while she is chilling, fire off another Ice Beam - focus on the wings, try to get them nice and frozen.

If you did get knocked to the ground on the first action, however, get back into the water as fast as you can while also countering her Sandstorm with Hail (I think that might still affect her up there). If she uses Rock Tomb, however (I don’t see how that would work while she’s still that high up, but just in case), use Struggle to break free of the rocks (if Rock Tomb misses you, just go ahead with Hail).

If you’re on the ground for the last action, get into the water if you haven’t yet, then go ahead and chill - unless you think that you can manage to Attract her from where you are, in which case do that.

.:Round Eight:.

Sparky continues to fly around, high in the air, with her little passenger. But she was going to cut the pleasure flight short for the little gator attached to her underbelly. She started to shake, trying to coax the little gator to drop to his doom at the high altitude they were flying at. Agro had other plans, mainly ones about living rather than becoming a splatter mark on the ground. He clung to Sparky’s leg for dear life, creating a protect shield big enough to shield his back and sides. Sparky let out a enraged growl and started to beat at shield with her tail, letting loose her pent up aggression created by the annoying little gator. Try as she might, the gator stayed glued to her leg. Both then start to feel very sick for the poison running in their systems.

Sparky, unimpressed by the failure on her part, flew higher into the air and started to do a series of aerial moves to try to lodge the gator off. She finally started to twist her body in the air in jerking motions, feeling her joints and bones pop and lock into place. The sickening sound and pain of strained muscles, coupled with the stinging of the sick ooze absorbed in her body, caused quite a little twinge of pain in her system.

Due to the thrashing and struggling in the air, Agro wasn’t able to keep a tight grip on the Aerodactyl’s leg and begun his decent. He curls up into a ball and summoned a thick skinned protect bubble to cushion his fall, praying that it would work in his favour. The end result was the sight of a Totodile in a clear bubble bouncing on the ground and landing into the pond with a splash, as well as the sickening feeling of poison burning you from the inside.

A little shaken from his fall, Agro turns onto his back and floats on the surface, eyes sliding shut as he begins to allow his body to relax. He shivers from the toxins in his body, but tries to calm down as best as he could. Seeing the gator’s actions, Sparky too decided that a little down time would be good. She glides over to a tree branch and settles herself down, shifting from un-comfort as the poison continued to be a problem. She let out a tired sigh and begun to let her body rest, feeling her lost energy returning to her slowly.

- Agro was able to stay on in the first action, but failed to hold on the second time and ended up falling in their protect bubble and…bouncing comically on the ground.

Right, we're in a bit of a tight spot, Agro. But we do still have our ultimate advantage: the fact that you're a totodile, and therefore awesome. Just keep that in mind, and show Sparky who's boss.

Of course, you can’t do anything as long as Sparky doesn‘t come down, so just… don’t do anything. If she’s gonna be boring, you go ahead and be boring right back: chill for as long as she stays up there.

If she does come back down, shoot a Water Pulse at her if she attacks you at range; if she attacks directly, catch her with Surf and knock her into the water. If she waits until the third action, just hit her with an Ice Beam no matter what she does.

If she comes down on the first action and you use Water Pulse, follow up with either another one if she’s not confused, or a Surf if she is, then Ice Beam. If you use Surf, follow it with a Water Pulse, then Ice Beam.

Right, Sparky, the safest thing to do would be to simply hang out at this point. But hey, this is a tournament battle... let's live dangerous and go out with a bang!

You're settled in a tree, which I'm guessing is towards the edge of the arena. If you can't cast a rock tomb on Agro from where you are, glide over towards him/land on the ground so that you're in range and can tap into your rocky powers. Pull boulders up from beneath the lake and use them to crush him to the bottom! He won't be able to hit us with a water pulse if he's plastered against

Once he's entombed, seal him up extra-tight by dumping a rock slide down on top of the boulders you've already conjured. Finish by landing if you haven't already and pounding up an earthquake--I'm guessing Agro won't enjoy all those boulders bouncing around on top of him when the earth starts to shake.

If you can't rock tomb Agro for whatever reason, then instead cloak yourself in a localized sandstorm to shred any water pulses he wants to hurl at you, then take off; combine giga impact and sky attack for spectacular damage!

~Round Nine~

Agro continues to float on the water’s surface watching the pterodactyl perched in a tree, judging to see if she planned on leaving the tree. After watching the Aerodactyl for what seemed like an eternity, Agro decided to take his first action by resting himself and restoring some energy for the next two actions of the final round. He smiled as he felt himself calm, only tensing in pain as the poisoned in his system seared at the tender flesh of his insides.

The moment that Agro achieved peace, Sparky made her move. Her eyes glowed a pale blue, her power reaching into the bottom of the pond from where she perched. She smirks as she drew rocks from the pond’s bottom, forming a small circle around the relaxed Totodile. She waited patiently up till the point when Agro realized that there was a circle before drawing the rocks close and encasing him in a rocky tomb. The entombed croc sinks to the bottom of the pond, struggling in his prison with little success. Sparky laughs at the Totodile’s predicament, then coughing as the toxins in her body stabbed at her insides, stealing her breath away.

Sparky closes her eyes, catching her breath and hissing under her breath. She will show that little croc how much pain she can cause before this match was through. She spreads her wings, her eyes taking on a glowing blue light again. This time, she pulls the rocks from around the pond and arena, collecting them into a pile over the pond. She holds onto the mass of rocks above the water, waiting until she felt their were enough to cause pain to the entombed gator below. She then coughs again from the posion’s attack, hacking up some pale purple liquid from her mouth. She knew her poisoned state was worsening and if scared her. With lost control over the rocks, they rained down into the pond and landed on the rocky tomb below.

Agro hisses from the sudden impact of the new rocks, but due the fact that he is underwater it didn’t have the desired sound of hissing. He then calms himself and recalls his orders. Though Sparky was not in front of him, he took thing in his own claws. He draws in the water around him, then releases it at a higher force coupled with a scream. He screams into the pressurized water as long as he could, but only succeeded in loosening the rocks slightly, allowing fresh water into the tomb. He sighs, taking in the new water, shivering as the poison works it’s way deeper into his soft inner tissue.

Sparky opens one of her eyes, a single tear of pain rolling down her face. She spreads her wings and flys into the air, concentrating on centering her weight into her lower half, readying for her final attack on the entombed Totodile. She let out a loud growl and drops from the sky, landing on the ground with little sound but enough force to cause the land to shake violently. Sparky coughs up more purple ooze, laughing a bit in the end as she finished her final action for the match. Nothing could ruin her finale.

Or so she thought. Deep in the pond, Agro’s tomb shook violently. Rocks falling and slamming onto his back, scattering on the pond’s floor around him. Bruised, battered, and having open wound along his body from where rocks jabbed into him, he lays on the pond’s surface in pain. He closes his eyes, hissing again as he pushes himself up. He looks up and glares at the water’s surface. He forces his body to move to the water’s surface, collecting all his cold emotions in his body and lowers his internal temperature as he went.

Like a fury of old myths, the enraged gator popped his head above the water’s surface and let loose a beam of frost energy as the unsuspecting Sparky. Agro than pants, floating on his back and staring at the sky. He squeezes his eyes shut and cries ashe poison stabs at him again.

Both pokemon lay where they once stood, or floated, silent as they know the time of battle has ended. The Ref slips off of her rock and walks to the center of the field, glancing that the two trainer before lifting her whistle.

“Battle End!”
