Round 9
Ladies and gentlemen, we have finally closed in on the final round! Pam and Ruse are close in remaining health and both quiering with the effects of their major status ailments. These final actions will determine who moves on further into the League and whose journey ends here. The sun is grinning down at us in amusement and our battlers are on opposite ends of the field itching to make the final mark. Ruse is woozy from poison while Pam is letting go of the persistent shocks and throbs of her head. With this round left I proudly present Round 9!
The dazed pooch hummed quitely, thu-thumping her bushy tail as she collected her clouded thoughts as best she could. She was a bit lost but had a better idea of what the situation was. That pretty jewel across the way was plotting to destroy her and it made her hair frizz even though her expression remained blank. The static pricked annoyingly at one of her tall ears before she let out a pained yelp and responded to her orders. A bell huh? Bells are pretty...Sound pretty...Ladida... Pam began to grin in a stupor. Suddenly the static halted and a lovely chime reverberated through alls hearing. It was beautiful and melodic but most of all soothing to the soul. Even Ruse had stiffened to listen. Meanwhile Pam benefitted the most and stretched her numb limbs like a waking pup. With the trance broken, the Starmie was prepared to take similar measures and took a deep breath before relaxing with the help of the bells that had already aided in such a task. A lovely sparkle mae Ruse glitter and shine before a strange sound erupted from her cry that could be mistaken for a cackle.
Pam was blinking away the confusion now and seemed at peace with the world. Her flamboyant nature had toned down and she had become much more focused. A small bark came out before a sudden devilish grin spread over her fuzzy snout. Ruse knew to expect this and hastily began a rapid spin of its points. From it came a familiar crackle of electricity. The weak flare that would render the Poochyena motionless again. Pam scowled at this and snarled before from her own fangs a static grew. As soon as the attack was released on Ruses end, Pam prepared to release her own fury as well. The sun was in her eyes though and blinking became an uncontrollable habit. She lept about trying to find a target and released a jolt from her pearly whites aimlessly. A thud was heard on either end and the audience glanced about trying to see who was hit. Ruses lovely figure suddenly hunched over but was joined in the dreaded ailment with the pup now head first into the dirt, rump in the air. Both cringed as the static pricked violently at their nerves and shot admirable glares at one another.
The last actions made the two get shivers down their spine eager to know the turn out and at the same time terrified. The clock was ticking and with their masters commands they determinedly obeyed. Pam was in fact grateful for this Chill rather than try to move feeling so hopeless after the refreshing removal of paralysis with it back to haunt her yet again. Throwing her rump back she slumped onto her side and panted with a sheepish grin. Ruse struggled to move and forced the tips to bend to try and produce another beam while the opponent was vulnerable but with the static making its jewel throb it couldn't find the energy to do so. Ruse bowed its head and let out what sounded like a sigh before I stood between the two contestants and looked over my notes....
