Closed Apocalypse: The Virus (A Pokemon RPG)

When the dirt cloud was sent up, Zuriwinda stumbled a bit, and fell, but caught herself on her forepaws.

>What the hell was that...?<

She got back up, shook off the dirt, and headed off. There was a town nearby...

"Aright."
Orixx went to the PokeMart to stock up on potions, revives,
and other handy items he might need for the trip.

"I brought PB&J, thanks," said Thorn, taking out a sandwich and giving the three food-needing Pokemon she owned a dishful of food.

"So? Maybe they have good food here! Would you rather have a peanut butter and jelly sandwhich, or a big, juicy hamburger with the cheese of your choice?" He asked. "Besides, the more of us that stock up on food, the more food we'll have later! I don't know about you, but I plan on getting a hot meal before we leave this place!" He turned his head at the sound of a scream. "Wonderful." He mumbled. "I'm going to check that out, does anyone else want to?"

While she intended to carry Eliza, Kali was somewhat surprised that it was Alice who first jumped at the chance to ride in the air, especially after acting so protective of her Quilava. But in any event, she made sure both of them, and their Pokémon, made it to Azalea safely.

After landing and letting off her passengers, Kali soon noticed the humans beginning to split up into two different groups. She didn't understand *too* much English yet, but 'food' was something she did know. So it was pretty obvious which group she wanted to go with. She hovered in front of the first group, waiting impatiently for them to get organized, even chirping to urge them on. She turned her head when she heard the scream, but didn't seem interested in checking it out.

Thorn said, "Deal," and cut off the bitten parts of the sandwich, packing up the rest again. "I want Popeyes!" she said.

Xigbar looked back to where the scream had come from. "Ah, I sure that everything is alright. Now, lets see what we got here..." He thought for a moment. Geez... I'm starting to act like a leader. I don't want to be a leader! I'd much rather be a follower! Oh, well. Since I have an idea, I might as well share it. "I say we split up into small groups. Each small group will do their fairshare of exploring, buy the best stuff, but try to make it cheap, and then we meet back up here in forty-five minutes. We all get different foods, we all have lots of food, and we have lots of food." He finished.
You said lots of food twice. Xhan said.
"I know. Food is good. So, who likes that idea? Or does anyone else have an idea?"

"Thanks." Alice said to the Flygon. "Quilava!" (Thanks) Eruption repeated.

"I like that idea." Alice replied to Xigbar. "I'll go to the pokèmart anyways." She started to go towards the mart.

Chuck walked into the Pokemon Center nearby. He looked around to see if there were any people who might know something about the legendary Pokemon or Ilex Forest. He decided to try Nurse Joy. He walked up to the counter.

"Nurse Joy," he said, "I was wondering if you knew anything about what is going on in Ilex Forest."

"Uh, yes," she said, before quickly adding, "but you'll have to catch me on my break in fifteen minutes."

"Okay! Well, people liked that idea better than I expected. Uh, I'll go that way!" He went in the general direction of the place that he had heard the scream. He had to know what had happened. Alright, let's see what caused that lady to scre- He stopped in mid-thought. An Absol was eating a pie! A pie! This Absol seemed to be begging to be captured. It was only a pie, but it was still his duty to stop this! He whipped out his styler, yelling the classic ranger capture phrase. "Capture on!"

((Do you mean Alice?))

Alice was just about to walk into the pokèmart as she was run over by a pokèmon.
What...? She thought. Eruption jumped down from her shoulder ad stared at the Absol.

"Aaagh! An Absol!!" She quickly got up and ordered her Quilava to use Quick Attack on it, just in case it was hostile. Eruption slammed into its head.

"Okay," Nurse Joy said fifteen minutes later in her office. "I'll tell you what I know about Ilex Forest; but be warned, it isn't much."

"I don't care, every little bit of information helps," Chuck said.

"Well," Nurse Joy began, "for starters, the Pokemon there are extremely timid. All of the massive predator Pokemon in the forest either died from being to scared to hunt, or they left the forest because they didn't want to hunt in fear. The rest of the Pokemon living there only eat plants; herbivores. And the massive trees there, well, make sure no one camps in a hollow underneath one of them. Every known person to have done that has been brutally killed."

"How so?" Chuck asked. Nurse Joy paused.

"Well..." she said nervously, "the most common of the killing forms tend to be, well, the beings head, arms, and legs being slashed off. However, people who camp outside of the trees have never died."

"Do you know who might possibly be commiting the murders?" Chuck asked. Nurse Joy gulped.

"Some people think that, with all of the legendary Pokemon going 'crazy' that Celebi is the one commiting them." Nurse Joy said.

"Wait," Chuck said, with realization, "why would she only kill the people underneath the trees and not the ones outside of them? Is it possible that they may have seen something that she didn't want them to see?"

"It's possible," Nurse Joy said, before continuing her knowledge. "Anyways, the last bit of information I know is about the shrine. The shrine is, I think, located under the biggest tree in the forest; it's 100 feet wide and at least 2 miles high. That's all I know about the forest."

"Thank you Nurse Joy," Chuck said, before exitting her office and the Pokemon Center. He noticed that there was a commotion going on around the Poke Mart. An Absol was running through it. Chuck ran over to his group.

"What's going on here?"

((Slight godmodding there Tiggy))

Chuck was thrown on the ground by the Absol that Slip had attacked. Chuck slowly reached into one of his pockets and took out an army knife that he always had on him. He held it up a few inches away from the Absol's throat.

Thorn walked out of the PokeMart and bumped into the Absol, which was when Pinch popped out of his PokeBall and said, "Hey there!" right in its face.

Meanwhile, Kali had been looking around for possible food sources. She landed on the roof of an indoor/outdoor restaurant, watching the section of its patrons that are eating outside. Of course, though, when she landed, the people inside could hear a loud thump, and there was some commotion about what it was that caused it. Kali walked on all fours to the edge of the roof and looked inside through an open door, while holding onto the edge of the roof with her forepaws.

Needless to say, a lot of people, many of whom have never seen a Flygon before, became quite worried, including a few screams.

Zuriwinda wandered around the town for a bit, earning herself stares and people avoiding her. What, did they think she was some kind of strange huamn in a costume? Humans...

She sighed, shaking her head. Then, she heard battle sounds.

She ran in the direction they were coming from, and stopped when she saw it.

>I thought humans didn't battle in their cities?<
