• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Camp Halfblood: a Perseus Jackson roleplay

*True, but these are the children of the gods, who are horrible students by nature and, when frustrated, have been known to call on the forces of nature...granted, we only ever see the children of Zues, Posiedon and Hades ever having any sort of big reactions, but I assume that the other's probably have some sort of breakdowns offscreen while Percy and Co are all over the country.*

((So, we all more or less know each other. Yes.))
Vai sat against the side of the cabin, and pulled off her dagger-rings. What would be convenient as of now, aside from eating utensils for breakfast? Ah, well. Vai thought for a moment, and felt the usual tingling in her hand as the rings melted together and lengthened into a darkish coloured pole. Might as well go for a walk. She was about to call out to ..Travis? Yes. As she passed him, but he looked in thought, and she decided not to interrupt him.
((Wait wait wait why is it November?))

((BECAUSE IT CAN BE.

*cough*I mean, because I couldn't think of anything else.))

Travis, as he passed Vai, gave her a quick nod and a smile in good morning. Smiling, he continued walking.

He settled down on the cool beach, leaning against a large rock, and staring out at the expanse of beautiful water before him...the ocean. So vast, so grand, so-

"Ew!" Travis shied away as a seagull from above pooped onto the sand beside him, barely missing his shoe. Resisting tthe urge to bring out his bow and shoot the thing full of arrows, he sighed, and, the moment ruined, simply stared at the water with a distant look on his face.

Acacia groaned and sat up, rubbing her eyes. She kept waking up all through the night, with a stomach-
She looked down. A large pile of rather squished-looking flowers were growing out of the mattress. Strange.. She pulled off her pajamas and got dressed, pinning her beloved flower pin on her sweatshirt. With an annoyed sigh, she gathered the plants growing on her bed and went outside, carefully planting them near the cabin. Why on earth did that keep happening?

Flora noticed Acacia exit the cabin, and followed her. "Growing flowers on the bed again?" she asked, giggling.

Acacia scowled at Flora, throwing a handful of dirt at her head.
"Shut up. Just shut up."
AS she was talking, another flower popped up from the ground near where she was kneeling. It looked sort of like a daisy, if daisies were red with giant thorns covering the stems. Apparently it was mirroring how she felt, which would be really cool in any other situation. She snarled, "If you say anything.."

((I edited it, but I'm an Athenian child, so I'll still be studious. I'll have a lesser form of ADHD and I have a professor who helps me with studies.))

Adonis, as he ran past the cabins, waved to Vai and Travis before he arrived at the camp headquarters

((Dunno what else to call the building))

"Huh? What?" Shay mumbled softly as she quietly slipped out of bed. Realizing that Vai was leaving her, she quickly put on a pair of sneakers over her pure-black socks (the only time she took them off was to wash them, and that didn't happen very often) and still in her pajamas, she went outside.
"Ugg," Shay groaned as she squinted against the morning light. She didn't really like mornings. Night was much more peaceful, and it made it easier for her to sneak up on people. At least it was still early, so it wasn't too bright. "Wait up!" Shay hissed under her breath, trying to catch up to Vai. She saw Vai glance at Travis, then keep walking. When she finnally caught up to her, Shay asked, "So, where are we going?"

Alphonse got up, not very energetically but neither very lazily. He got dressed very hastily, but took some seconds picking up his sword. Carefully placing it on his back, he left the cabin, and inspired some of the morning air.

"No harsh winds. Which means easier sword handling." He smiled. It was a perfect day to measure strength.

Vai nodded to Shay.
"Oh, you're up. I was thinking we could go for a walk before breakfast..." A grin made her stop. "And.. well." She picked a strawberry from one of the plants at her feet, and shrunk her dagger-pole into a pair of armbands, before putting them on. "We could.. look through-" Ah, damn. She was about to say 'peoples' valuables,' there it was again. You're a kid of Hermes, Vai tried to justify the feeling. If you weren't at Camp you'd steal stuff. Vai shook her head.
"Actually, let's just get to breakfast," she muttered.
((FFFFttt I need a name for mai weapon thing))

With a huge yawn, Suzume lifted herself from her bed, immediately going to the bathroom for a 'quick' touchup. She was in there for quite some time, mind you.
After her touch-up she got dressed, taking her weapon from under the bed, where she had hidden it. She placed it in her bag that hung by her side, along with her make-up, of course, and a few other belongings, like her purse. Then she headed to the breakfast table behind her fellow campers. She didn't feel like dealing with anyone this morning.
((How about you call your weapon a sharpspole or something, Dragon? Mind, I'm very bad with making up names.))

((Or you mean a real name like Brisingr? Because half-god's legendary weapons should have a name.))

Several pieces of wood were simetrically cut down and lying on the floor, next to a smiling Alphonse. He loved the space behind the cabin where he could chop trees. And that wood would be used for the camp's activities, so they were told to cut them frequently.

After gathering the wood in front of the cabin, Alphonse walked to the main building for his breakfast.

At the sound of the door to the cabin closing, Jason turned over in his bed. With an upset mumble about people needing to be more quiet, he slid off the bed, folding up his sleeping bag. Giving a grunt of dislike as the door closed, he quickly changed out of his pajamas and pulled on his outfit. Making sure Travis was really gone, despite not needing to, he pulled on a loose floorboard, Taking the wood out, he felt around in the crevice, pulling out a box. Blowing dust off of it, he flipped the lid off and uppled out a pair of black gloves with the symbol of the moon carved into it. Pulling the lefthand glove on, he ran it over the scar on his cheek. No dice, it wouldn't heal. Sighing once more, he replaced the glove before putting it in the box, which he hid back in its hiding place, replacing the floorboard before waddling off.

((On a random note.. is it too late to change the awesome transformy-weapon to, say, a whip that looks like a vine or something? Because a sword is too.. expected.))

"Okay," Shay said, half-wondering, half-knowing what Vai was about to say. Shay headed over to the pavillion, deciding she would change into some real clothes after breakfast. She had a banana and a bowl of oatmal. After offering a gift to her father, Hermes, she sat down at her table and ate her breakfast. Then, she "accidentally" dropped her banana peel on th way to the trash can. Heh, I could use more practice with my sword, and I haven't tried archery in a while. I should go train today. "Vai, do want to come practice swordfighting with me?" Shay asked.

((OH noes! Didn't notice it was November.))
"Oh shoot..." Reitsu mumbled. "Slept late again..." Biting a granola bar, she rather quickly changed into a T-shirt that had a picture of an owl on it. Barn owl, she thought. Tyto Alba, called White Owl, Silver Owl, Demon Owl, Ghost Owl, Death Owl, Night Owl, Rat Owl, Monkey-faced Owl, Church Owl, Cave Owl or Stone Owl. Random facts like that were popping into her mind oh-so-easily.. Popping on a sweatshirt and glancing around, she seemed to be alone....Adonis and the others ran off, she guessed. Soaking up the warm sunlight and thanking Apollo, she ran to get to practice.

((Still need a name for the shield))
