Round something

Bugophobia cowers down with a startled squeak, and hastily generates a shimmering shield of pure energy, which encases her in a protective dome. The sight of the shield flickering into life doesn’t stop Caza from recklessly charging towards her again, and the snarling mushroom bashes forcefully into Bugophobia’s shield with all he’s got.
However, even in his rage-induced state, Caza simply finds himself rebounding off the sturdy barrier, his head ringing as he staggers about trying to keep his balance.

Bugophobia gives a sigh of relief as she lets the green glow fade away. Caza gives his head a shake, then turns back to Bugophobia with another angry snarl. He promptly leaps back to his feet and charges towards her, completely undeterred by the resistance she's put up and focused only on unleashing his senseless rage.

The Venipede is even more unnerved by how much quicker the Shroomish has become; she’d never have imagined a mushroom could move so fast. She scrambles to set up the shield, and quickly generates another shimmering dome of protective green energy. It noticeably causes her more difficulty than last time however, and she rapidly flicks her antenna in agitation as she struggles to bring the barrier to life.

She manages to stabilize the flickering shield just in time, and Caza viciously hurls himself at it head-first. This time, he makes a respectable dent in the barrier, but not enough to shatter it. The shield puts a halt to his efforts, and he lands back on the ground, looking as livid as ever.

He picks himself up, moving a little slower despite himself, and silently fuming with white-hot rage. He’s breathing somewhat heavily now, and his head is ringing horribly, but all the discomfort he’s feeling only serves to increase his anger. He glares daggers at the quivering Venipede, then marches towards her again, completely undaunted by the setbacks. She can’t hide behind her shield forever; sooner or later she will have to face the terrible wrath of this tiny but ferocious little mushroom beast.

He charges towards her for the third time, his tiny feet becoming a blur as he races along head-first.
Bugophobia winces and struggles to create the protective shield again, grimly determined to avoid the Shroomish’s wrath. The green energy flickers feebly around her, creating a patchy and barely visible dome. Bugophobia hisses in frustration as she sees the pathetic result, and she frantically struggles to strengthen the shield before Caza collides with her.

Unfortunately, Caza has already caught up with her, and he smashes into her while she is intent on honing her shield. Bugophobia gives a muffled cry of pain and shock as she is hurled across the field to collide forcefully with the cobblestone. For a few moments, she lies completely still, before she gives a feeble flick of her antenna to show that she's still conscious. She woozily rolls over to her side, weakly wriggling her legs as she struggles to regain her bearings.

Caza watches her intently as she tries to get back up, seemingly oblivious to the bad shape that he's in. His whole body is shaking with the effort of standing, and his breathing is ragged. His expression remains the same however, and he's not quite done with his venting just yet.

The enraged Caza isn't overly pleased to hear his current orders; he's so close to demolishing that cowardly bug...
Nevertheless, he gives himself a half-hearted shake, and a fine, shining powder slowly drifts into the air. In her spooked state, the terrified Venipede somehow misinterprets the gesture as a hyper beam, and she immediately makes another attempt at generating the strenuous shield. A faint flicker of energy shimmers weakly in front of her, before it slowly stabilizes into a fairly solid green dome. Bugophobia breathes a sigh of relief and cowers down on the ground as she waits for the Shroomish to unleash his fury.

Instead, the shiny dust merely drifts leisurely towards her, then suddenly flares out in a dazzling spray of dancing lights. Bugophobia’s shield prevents the eye-hurting display from reaching her however, and the powder grows dull as it floats away in the faint breeze.

Eventually, Bugophobia plucks up the courage to raise her head again, and her green shield fades away. She's surprised to see that Caza doesn't look quite so threatening anymore - his rage filled expression is gone and now he just looks tired. Very tired. He weaves about unsteadily on his feet, his eyelids drooping, until finally, he collapses onto the ground in a faint.

As Doc Scratch hastily returns the exhausted Caza, KR-9 snickers at the Shroomish's anti-climactic end. Soon enough, the grass type is replaced by Jenkins the Frillish, who hovers in the air, his finned tails drifting eerily along in the faint breeze.

His presence is unnerving in more ways than one however, as the trainers can't help but feel that the Frillish is causing a catastrophic time paradox just by being here.... somehow. The trainer previously known as Sizz-lorr is unfazed - there's a reason he got his name legally changed to Doc Scratch; so he can keep up with all these time shenanigans.

Bugophobia knows absolutely nothing about time shenanigans however, (there's no point in meddling in that complicated timey-wimey stuff as far as she's concerned), so she decides that she's going to have to approach this mysterious time traveler with extreme caution.

Bugophobia nervously backs away a little as she waits for the ghost to make his move, and takes the time to recall the method to sunny day. Jenkins floats forward as she ponders, moving through the air with just as much ease as he would underwater. He then begins to swirl around rapidly, humming an eerie, whistling tune as he goes, his tails rapidly lashing the air as he moves. The sky quickly begins to darken in response to his dance, and heavy, black clouds begin to gather overhead, blocking out the sunlight. Soon enough, the storm-clouds burst, and freezing rain begins to pelt down heavily on the arena. Jenkins gives a brief bow, then basks in the downpour, holding up his finned hands to catch the raindrops.

Bugophobia winces as the heavy rain splashes onto her hide, quickly leaving her drenched and shivering. She’s got the means to change it however, so she quickly sets about doing so. She gazes skyward, muttering the words to an arcane spell, and a swirling fireball slowly flares into life between her front antenna. She handles it very cautiously, as she’s only too aware of how dangerous fire can be, then gently nudges it upwards, allowing it to hurtle towards the gloomy sky.
When it reaches its destination, it darts about for a few moments, before it disappears into the blackened clouds. However, it quickly becomes visible again when it explodes in a bright spray of fiery energy, illuminating the dark sky in bright light. The sky rapidly becomes clear and blue again, and the storm clouds fade into thin, white wisps, allowing the sun to beam down. The heat it emits is unusually harsh this time though, and Jenkins' frilled form appears to wilt as the sun bakes the whole arena in its intense glare.

The Frillish grimaces, and raises one finned arm as he tries to shield his eyes from the horrible sun. He glares over at the Venipede, who gives a small smirk before she sets about trying to generate the all too familiar shield. The green light flickers to life again as she strains to activate it, but almost immediately dies, much to Bugophobia’s surprise. She gives a startled squeak and rapidly flicks her antenna in agitation as she tries to bring it to life again, but to no avail. All she can manage is a few weak flashes of green energy.
While the bug is busy scrambling about in a panic, the grim looking ghost floats towards her, his tails swishing and twisting along behind him.
He holds out his arms wide, then breathes out a bubbling ring of water, which easily breaks through Bugophobia’s hap-hazard attempt at a shield and sends her spinning.
Bugophobia staggers about woozily, then shakes her head to try and clear away the ringing. The force of the water itself didn't actually faze her too much, but the sound-waves emitted from it are definitely unpleasant.

She really isn't feeling that great overall; the extent of her injuries is really catching up with her, and she silently curses that rampaging Shroomish with anger management issues. She's determined to see this through to the end though, so she soldiers onward.
Jenkins looks on with the same grim expression as Bugophobia scuttles over to him, the barbs on her tail bristling threateningly. She hisses at the ghost floating overhead, trying to sound more confident than she feels, then jabs her poison-laced tail forward, striking him in the mid-section. Jenkins gives a strange, bubbly wail of pain and doubles over, his tails lashing in agitation.
Bugophobia draws back, satisfied at launching some offence, but she doesn't get much of a chance to savor her success.
Jenkins raises his head again and glares at her with his wide, blank eyes, before he forcefully spits out another bubbling ring of water. It splashes into Bugophobia, spinning her around again, and leaving her looking a little dizzy. Jenkins looks on hopefully as he watches her scuttle drunkenly around in a circle, but he’s quickly disappointed when she recovers from her daze.

Utilising what little strength she has left, Bugophobia rushes forward desperately and lashes out with her tail, jabbing the Frillish in the mid-section again. Jenkins can't help doubling over again at the sudden rough stab, and he gives a half-muffled cry as her barbs dig into him. Thankfully, she still doesn't leave any toxins behind, much to his relief.

Jenkins holds out an arm, and breathes out a thin stream of ghostly blue flames, which form together into a blazing fireball. He nudges the fiery orb forward, and it takes off into the air, tracing an erratic zigzag pattern as it makes its way towards the Venipede. Bugophobia cringes at the sight of the eerie, unnatural fire, and she scampers around frantically as she tries to get out of its way.
Unfortunately for her, the path of the zooming fireball is almost impossible to predict, and it catches her by surprise as it abruptly blazes forward, exploding on her hide in a spray of blue fire.

Bugophobia gives a hiss of pain and wriggles about frantically in an attempt to get a look at the scorch mark marring her hide.
The burn is on a spot close to her front right leg, and it’s making it painful for her to move. Her antenna droop as she gingerly struggles forward, trying her best not to aggravate the raw wound. The blazing sun is starting to annoy her now; she can’t help but feel it’s making the burn sting even more fiercely, but she still tries to take comfort in the fact that the Frillish is probably appreciating the heat even less than her.

Bugophobia’s frayed antenna perk up again as she sees Jenkins drifting forward, and she doesn’t like the look of that grin he has on his face. She knows she can’t keep going for much longer, but she’s determined to get one last good shot at him before she leaves. She takes a deep breath, then scuttles forward to meet the descending ghost, and she quite enjoys the look of surprise on his face. Obviously, he was just expecting her to sit there and mope while he finished her off.

She glares up at him, then lashes out with her venomous tail for the last time, catching him on the chest. The sharp movement is painful for her, and she can feel her burn mark screaming in protest. Her bravado quickly fades, and she cringes away, her tail drooping as she curls into a ball. She doesn’t even take the time to survey the results of her attack, but she can hear the water ghost let out another one of those strange, bubbly wails. It sounds more angry than pained this time though, which doesn’t do much to inspire her confidence.

Jenkins scowls as he straightens himself up again, and he swoops down on the cowering bug, his finned arms held out wide. His eyes glow a deep red, and a shimmering shroud of ghostly black mist surrounds his body, standing out starkly against the bright light illuminating the field. If Bugophobia had the strength to look up, she'd undoubtedly be terrified by the strange, blank look in the ghost's eyes and the writhing cloud of dark mist descending on her. As it is, she remained curled up and groaning as the hex engulfs her in its freezing cold spell, growing in size and strength as it reacts to her raw burns.

When the ghastly cloud fades away, Bugophobia is left in a pitiful looking heap, clearly out for the count. Jenkins' eyes slowly return to normal, and he seems to grow considerably calmer as he sees Bugophobia get zapped back into her pokéball. Defeating the weakened Venipede took considerably more hassle than he would have liked, but he got there in the end at least.

When Bugophobia is safely tucked away, RK-10 sends out his final Pokémon. RK-9 bursts from his pokéball with a cheery bark, jumping through the air to land deftly in front of Jenkins. He raises his head happily and basks in the bright sunlight baking the battlefield, his tail wagging furiously.

His demeanor quickly changes however as he turns to face his foe. His fiery coat bristles noticeably as he glares over at Jenkins, and he utters a low, threatening growl as he bares his wicked fangs. Jenkins freezes up he as sees the Growlithe glaring over at him, and he quickly turns his head away, looking somewhat uneasy. His blank eyes dart all over the arena, trying not to focus too much on the nasty mutt in front of him.

Round something

As the round begins, RK-9 quickly snaps to attention, and advances on the ghost drifting overhead, his lips pulled back in a snarl. Jenkins looks on nervously, slowly drifting away as the mutt draws ever closer. In reality, the Growlithe is merely putting on a front to disguise the fact that he has no idea as to what his current command entails. He's supposed to...torment his foe? That seems a bit vague. He supposes his could just snarl and growl at him; maybe that'd work. He continues to do just that, though he can't help but feel that isn't exactly what his trainer had in mind.
Jenkins is in a similar boat to his opponent; except that he's familiar with the move he's been told to use, it's just the arena he's in lacks the resources to enable him to pull it off. He darts around frantically, searching the craggy surroundings for any sign of water, but the square field offers nothing but useless cobblestone.

RK-9 quietens down his growling as he curiously eyes his opponent's frantic movements. The ghost appears to be looking for something, though he doesn't seem to be having much luck. He's flitting about in agitation, his tails twisting and writhing as he drifts about aimlessly. RK-9 feels a little relieved to see that his foe is distracted, as he had a feeling that his ruse wasn't going to hold up for long, and it would be really embarrassing if Jenkins found out that he didn't understand his orders.

His next command however, he understands just fine. RK-9 snarls viciously, startling the ghost out of his hunt, and the Growlithe’s fur begins to bristle with static. Sparks of electricity leap off his spiky coat before he charges forward with a loud bark, and collides with the unfortunate ghost in a blinding flash of electricity. Jenkins gives a wail of pain as RK-9 forcefully tackles him down, sending bolts of electricity surging through him.

RK-9 staggers back, looking slightly dazed from his reckless collusion, but feeling rather pleased with himself, if the big dopey grin on his face is any indication.
He wags his fluffy tail and gives another loud bark, causing the addled Jenkins to jump in surprise. Jenkins winces and slowly drifts upwards again, his tails trailing listlessly behind him. His translucent blue form looks blackened from the vicious current, and his neck-frill looks somewhat ragged.

RK-9 crouches down, and his coat begins to bristle once again with a crackling current of vicious sparks. Jenkins’ eyes widen as he sees the warning signs, but there is little he can do to stop the canine’s electrifying rampage. RK-9 leaps forward, letting loose a series of enthusiastic barks that are just barely heard over the loud crackling of electricity. He bashes into Jenkins, knocking him clean out of the air and onto the ground, and lands forcefully on his chest.
Jenkins writhes about in pain as his aquatic form is shocked by the tremendous surge of electricity, leaving him looking even more charred. RK-9 adds insult to injury by barking in Jenkins' face before he hops off, landing somewhat awkwardly on the ground as he tries to regain his bearings. He gives his head a brief shake to clear away the cobwebs, then bares his teeth at the singed and unhappy looking Frillish.

As Jenkins struggles to right himself again, the blazing sun overhead suddenly begins to grow dimmer. RK-9's ears droop a little as the heat fades away, leaving the arena considerably cooler and darker. It doesn't knock his confidence, though it is a little disappointing; he was enjoying the feel of the sun on his fur.

Okay then, let's go with a Nice Toxic to start off. If your Hp is getting too low (around 30% or so) use Recover, but other than that use Wring Out, unless his Hp is less than 80% in which case use, oh let's say Scald.
