Re: The Legendary Beast Pack
Name: Halan Storm
Gender: ♂
Current Age: 36
Species: Lucario
Battle Record: 189/10/1
Body Mods: He has a long, shaggy patch of fur on his head that acts like hair which he pulls back into a small pony. His eyes are pale blue due to his father's side of the family, which has a deeper meaning to it than one would guess.
Ability Mods: ...a mess of physical and special moves, thanks to his parents. From top of head...hmm...Blaze Kick, bullet punch, Psychic (To be discovered later) and the ability to use his Aura when he was a Riolu.
Personality: He can come off as cold at first, not one to show much emotion to those he really doesn't know. But once you get into his inner circle, you will find him to be quite warm and almost silly if there isn't work to be done. He is deeply interested in human-made mecha, having this crazy notion of driving a boat if need be. He is quiet at most times, often told to be wise beyond his years, and is very kind when it comes to women and children. He holds a hatred for humans, but he also holds a shred of tolerance for them because of the kindness of one human girl.
When angered (usually either by Edward or seeing something he deems "wrong"), he is not one to pull punches. He fights with honour and not one to fall to "dirty fighting" like his childhood friend seems to have. He is loyal to a fault, prideful of his skills in aura (self-taught), and has a strong sense of right and wrong...though, when caught up in the moment he can be as blood thirsty as the next pokemon, slowly slipping into a persona he had in the ring,
Bio: Before the escape, before he even thought of such things, he lived in a dark damp room with other pokemon. He has known them all his life, one ninetales more so. The Ninetales was a nice old gal, taking him in when he was brought into their storage room as her own. He was a young riolu then, about a day old when he was taken from a daycare when it was being ransacked. The first son of a pair strong and well known Lucarios from the old trainer days, the man that took him had high hopes he'd be a unstoppable fighting machine. He was tossed into the ring before he could stand right and lost, having his life spared by one moment of mercy from a young Luxio named Xeres. Time after time when he was a riolu, he'd lose with an inch of life still in him. The human lost interest in him and started to plot ways of getting rid of the dead weight.
What the man didn't know was that Halan was stronger than he let on. He hated the man that owned him, never using his full strength in battle because of this. In secret, he'd practise his aura, developing it at a young age through self-teaching. When Halan was deemed useless, he was soon scooped up by the man's daughter and was cared for. At first he distrusted her simply because she was human, but by watching her with the other pokemon under her father's ownership, he saw something no human ever had. He saw a light and a goodness to her. After spending time with her, listening to her dreams and wishes for a better future with pokemon, he soon grew to love her. Through this love, he evolved into a Lucario in her arms...and thus started his decent into hell. She was barred from seeing him again, her father taking him back and starting a new method of training him for battle.
He was locked in a cold room, the sound of dripping water the only thing he could hear from the complete darkness of the room. He was kept in that room for five days straight, each night ending with the man walking in with a whip and beating him relentlessly. He was starved and slowly driven crazy from the constant dripping, his wounds stinging each time he shifted. On the last day, he would send in his prized Weavile twins to finish the process by tormenting him mentally and emotional, telling him all the things they will do to him if he loses. Halan mentally curled into himself, stepping away from the controls...and thus, his pit persona was born.
In the pits, after this "training session", he was a blood thirsty and merciless killer. He would start to chuckle darkly when released from his holding cage, standing in the center of the ring, blood clotting his fur and a mad look in his eyes. The moment the opponent should fear, he would laugh louder, walking toward them in a slow, easy pace. His laughter will grow louder and madder by each step he'd take, eventually dropping onto the pokemon and slowly tear bits off of him to sate his hungry for both gore and food. After eating them alive, he'd drop the body and turn to the crowd, fresh blood on his body and a almost gleeful look of merriment from his recent murder. It was due to this that he soon became famous among the pit fighters and trainers as the mad joker of the pits, the "Laughing Jackal". After the fight, he would be brought back to the storage room with the other pokemon he lived with...and slowly came back to his sense, having no clear memory of what happened during the first few times this happened.
Thought this training was continued, there were times when the haze would lift enough for the real Halan to flicker. One encounter that caused this was when he was pitted against a family of Mightyena. The mother and father were the first to fall, leaving the eldest daughter trying to protect her little Poochyena brother from him. As Halan walked over, chuckling his dark chuckle, he grabbed her by the throat and heard her last words. Her words broke through the haze, but not long enough to spare for from a broken neck. He dropped her body and stood back up, looking down at the pup. With a sense of some clarity, he gave the boy one last message before turning away from the now orphaned pup. Thus started his mission to leave certain pokemon alive in hopes they'd grow stronger and kill the monster he has become.
One day, he was told that he'd be fighting a old friend of his. At first he was sadden to have to see Edward for such a thing, missing his one link to the innocent days when they would just play and try to be normal. He could still remember the day his arm was taken and the way Edward became the very monster he set out to destroy. It was then that he took it as a sign. He prepared himself for the battle, the man that owned him skipping the trainer for a better show of old friends fighting. Upon entering the ring, it looked to be a equal fight, each pokemon getting hits here and there. But to the ones paying real attention, they would notice Halan stalling at times to allow the strikes. Halan, letting himself lose, prepared to finally be put to rest...when the man's daughter jumped into the pit and took the next blow on her back and shoulder. Letting out a pained shriek, Halan turned and looked up at the sight before him. The daughter was hunched over, her back bleeding and shoulder torn, and Edward circling her with that hungry look in his eye. When the cat jumped to attack the human, Halan unleashed a Aura sphere to knock the wind out of him. Back on his feet, he stood between Ed and the girl, watching the cat get back to his feet and hiss at him. When Edward pounced again, Halan was filled with a different sort of power fuelled by his want to protect the girl. He released the attack and watched as Ed flew through the air, collapsing onto the ground. He strolled over to the Cat and leaned down to his ear to give him a few parting words.
After that day, Halan found the daughter tied by the wrists and bloody, her body bruised and battered. She looked to have cried until the tears were gone, his the little light in her eyes dimmer than before. She was alive, but she was almost completely broken by the hand of her own Father for costing him the fight. Halan grew more enraged by human kind, at the same time figuring out how he loved the daughter. He loved her as if she was his own child, and he still cares for her till this day.
In the end, it was through the help of the daughter that he and the other pokemon were able to escape. He travelled with her and the small meowth she kept as a pet in her backpack, only to be separated from one another when they took a small row boat and were caught in a storm. He woke up on a lake shore, the boat and his companions gone. He now looks for them both, while rescuing the pokemon in need.
What he didn't except was running into Edward again. This time with them being on the same side. To this day, he wonders if Ed knew he tried to throw the fight. Knew asking, he never lets on that he wasn't fighting to his all during that fight against his one childhood friend.
Relationships:
-Well, I think it should be obvious but lets let it happen naturally, shall we Stormy?
- Friend/Rival with Ed. Really...they do care for one another.
- Well of course He'd be friends with Shelia.
- More may be added.
Other: Three things. I'd like to have the Daughter show up at some point. Second, I'm not sure how to explain the Crow as. The third.
Its good to be back
EDIT:
Crow and the bird Guardians
The bird Guardians is a special blood-line of Lucarios, originated in the deserts of Sinnoh since anyone could remember. These Lucarios have "guardians beasts" that live in their souls and minds that aid them in battle and other aspects of life. No one knows how this family of Lucarios were blessed with this power, but a myth passed down from generation to generation of a aura beast that granted two Lucario families with special powers. One was given the Guardians, another was given a special aura stronger than that of ordinary Lucario, then they were separated with one living in the deserts and the other in the snow covered mountains of Mt. Cornet. It is said that if these two bloodlines cross, the Aura beast will be reborn into the pokemon world. No one is sure what would happen, and no one has really asked.
Halan is the first and eldest son of Iris and Shotoshu, each a member from the two bloodlines. He was born with a heightened power of aura, promising to be a great power later on in his life. But he was never taught how to harness it by his father when he was taken from the daycare, thus his full potential will slowly emerge as he goes forward in his life. The bird guardian in his soul however has been with him since birth, sleeping and waiting for the time Halan would need him. During this time, the bird guardian grew more powerful in his soul by devouring the repressed emotions Halan held back, causing him to go slightly insane and a complete "troll" to Halan later in life.
....Crow will appear later on along the way by talking to Halan. So, how does this all sound to you, hun. I may add to it later after talking to the other one that helped come up with this.
