Cryptica nodded and turned to the rest of the group. One by one, she sent small psychic pulses through their minds that would wake them up. "Done," she said when she had finished. She went over to the bike that Troubl was on.

Pearl, meanwhile, was sitting up, facing away from the rest of his little group. He was looking toward the east, watching the sun rising over the mountains in the distance. Without saying a word, he stood up and began to walk out from the little camp the group had been sleeping in, heading toward the surrounding forest. They can sleep a little longer... he thought. I have a job to do.

Troubl, grumpy from waking up 3 times last night, started his speech only after attempting to blast Golden Sunset out of the sky with a Mud Bomb (with moderate success). He cleared his throat. "My esteemed-why do I even care? This is probably engraved in your minds, let's just go see who got taken without any humans noticing due to their idiocy. C'mon!"

And he led the group of fighters to explore every nook and cranny of the Playland, taking stock of the younger Pokémon that were woken up by Cryptica's pulse. It turned out that a baby Treecko was taken. Nothing major, but it drove everyone's blood pressure up a notch.

Troubl turned back to his group. "OK, any ideas on how we deal with this?"

((MurrMurr, isn't that godmodding?))

Distaster watched as Pearl left and then took off after him. She kept a slow pace behind him, trying to be as quiet as possible.
She saw a small Ratatta along the way and jumped on it,breaking it's neck. She picked it up and started to run back the Pearl agian.

(What specifically? The idea is that this is almost entirely routine, it's been going on for a long time)

Pearl heard a bit of a noise as Disasteria killed a Rattata behind him. He turned his head and looked back toward his fellow teammate, narrowing his eyes. "What do you want, Disaster?" He glanced briefly at the Rattata, then turned his head back to the direction he was headed in. Pearl then continued to speak, but without eye contact. "You know our mission... you don't need to follow me." Up ahead, just now visible through the trees, was the Playground.

Disaster stopped for a second, still holding the Ratatta. She looked ahead of the Manetric and saw the Playground. Her fur bristled.
She started walking back to the others, but stopped to eat the Ratatta. She started chewing on the flesh, and looked back at Pearl.
She looked back at her meal and continued eating.

Darksong woke up just in time to hear who was taken. She frowned a bit, then said in response to Cryptica's answer, "Me, neither."

Troubl grumbled. He was sick of the utter routine of it all. Every day, he would wake up, find who was taken, have no ideas, get food, train, and sleep. He needed something...new. "Maybe we could go find some of the dark Pokémon? If Giratina was sending them back, he'd go for populated areas. Have any of you been watching the human news? I think the TV in the office still works. Let's go." And without another word, he crept out of the room, nursing his broken arm.

Troubl turned around, an expression of shock on his face. "Really? Even I"-he paused to chuckle-"ignorant as I am, can understand a little bit. Don't expect me to discuss world issues, but when humans scream 'HELP!' in their tipsy tones I catch it."

Karae watched blankly as Pearl walked off, followed by Disaster. Sighing inwardly at this breach of conduct, the Dragonair uncoiled and launched herself into the air smoothly. After a good deal of exercise to ensure her body was agile, she flew a short distance after the two, and spotted Disaster. "Leave him alone, Disaster. No part of this mission states that you must be with him, and if you continue to distract yourself and him, problems will erupt." she called out, adjusting her voice so she could hear, but not much else. As usual, her tone was reserved; not cold, but she didn't view her allies as anyone important to her.

Hearing Karae call down to him and Disaster, Pearl turned his head and snapped back. "She can do as she pleases. It will not distract me." He thought back to his original meeting with Giratina, when he was given his objectives. Kill the weak. There is no place for them in the new world. Bring the strong to him. With that, he ran off, approaching the Playland compound. Pearl hid behind a bush and watched as Pokemon there began to awaken from their sleep. Well, well, who will be my target today? he thought, grinning with bloodlust.

Troubl found the remote on top of the TV and sat down on the office floor, after struggling for 30 seconds to get onto a chair. He flicked the TV on and, after the static, heard something along the lines of this:

"large...dark Pokémon...around...Johto...Treecko..." Troubl turned the TV off. "Well," he said, turning to the other Pokémon, "what bits of that did you pick up? Let's swap stories."
