Arena: Twilight Cathedral

Once, the Twilight Cathedral was a peaceful place, devoted to the honoring of Gods. Now, all Gods have left, and it is home only to Tiamut, the freakish Bat Queen, spawn of Hell. The Cathedral itself is a massive, open air room, with plenty of room to fly in. In the center is a large pool, ample room for housing even the largest of Pokémon. It is acidic to all but Poison-Type Pokémon, and will cost 1% Health per action for those in it. The ground is worn and cracked, and the remenants of stone Church pews are littered around, as are the scratched remains of great statues.

At the end of the room is a large spiral staircase, leading up to the top of the Cathedral's Spire. At the top is Tiamut, the Bat Queen herself, who eagerly watches the fight. Anyone who strays to near her will find themselves attacked by her jaws. If anyone attacks the Bat Queen, she is liable to send down her children, who will deal a massive 30% damage to anyone they can reach before flying back to their mother.

Round 11 Begin!

Lostprophet looks at the walls of her tunnel, slightly unhappy with the fact that she's going to have to become solid again. She has no real choice, though, and so she concentrates; her purple body fades into visibility, and she looks quite unhappy at the touch of the acid, burning her inside and out. She begins scrabbling at the side of her tunnel, her sharp claws making quick work of the dirt, and it takes mere seconds for her to reach the surface; she gives a mighty heave to the stone tile that Iron Tooth happened to be stood on - bah, he couldn't have the decency to stand on nice soft dirt like she was - and hurls him aside, where he lands with a crash. She crawls out of the hole, dripping acid on the floor, and looks at her opponent; he's visibly enraged, and suddenly charges at her, thoughts of sneaky attacking forgotten. He has entirely forgotten about two things, though: he trips over the first, the stone tile that he was stood on, and falls right into the second - catching a nasty crack on his jaw as he does. He flails about in the acid for a few seconds before coming to his senses and dragging himself out, this time keeping his temper in check.

Lostprophet grins, knowing she's got to him. She quickly taps into her native energy, surrounding her hand in a flickering purple glow. She leaps at Iron Tooth, causing him to scramble backwards out of sheer instinct. She slashes at him, her claws passing straight through him and searing his body as they go. He grimaces, and then begins calling to Lostprophet: "cowardly little diamond-ghost! You don't want to fight me head-on? Hiding underground in your little acid-filled hole, too chicken to show your face! Come on and fight me like a Pokémon."

Within seconds, Lostprophet's brain seems to fog over with a cloud of rage. Her face contorting into a snarl, she raises her hands, palms facing towards her opponent; she gathers her energy, concentrating it as best she can. A shadowy blob forms in front of her hands, almost losing its feeble coherence within seconds; with a flick of her hands, she sends the orb hurtling at Iron Tooth, smashing into his side and exploding in a shower of shadowy energy. Iron Tooth growls, and gathers a pulse of dragon energy in his throat; with a choking motion he expels the energy, which hurtles through the air and slams into Lostprophet's side, imploding in a painful burst. Lostprophet growls as the round draws to an end.

Round 12 Begin!

Her mind still clouded over with rage, all Lostprophet can think to do is to smash that Axew to pieces. She throws her hands up in front of her, again concentrating ethereal energies into a tangible - and useful - form. A semisolid ball of shadows begins to form, growing to basketball-sized in a matter of seconds. Pulling her hand slightly back, she suddenly shoves violently forward through the air. The ball hurtles forth, smashing straight into Iron Tooth's face; he staggers back as the shadows engulf his head, flapping his hands wildly at them to dispel them. He growls, then launches himself at her; as he goes, he funnels a draconic power into his claws, raising his hand high. He brings it down in a dramatic motion, slicing through her semisolid body and nearly cutting his finger open on the sharp edge of her gemstone. She hisses in pain as the energy he leaves behind eats away at her, briefly leaving holes in her hide until her body regenerates, helaing them over. Iron Tooth, meanwhile, retreats to a distance safe from direct-contact moves, at the very least.

In a near-exact repetition of her previous move, Lostprophet charges up another ball of shadowy energy, hurling it at Iron Tooth and letting it explode in his face. He growls again, preparing to repeat his own move, and begins to run forward; the now-fading orb of light prepares to make itself as distracting as possible for its last few minutes, though, and darts in front of his face. Instinctively trying to stop, he digs his heels into the ground, and only succeeds to trip himself up; putting his arms out to save himself merely causes his claws to be driven into his stomach, searing and burning as the energy within turns on him.

Dia grins, the fog of rage beginning to fade away. Now that she can once again think straight, she begins to draw toxins from hidden places in her body, carefully extracted from the minerals she eats and hoarded for later use. Concentrating it into a purple muck, she gathers it in her hand; a quick underhand throw and it sails through the air, hitting Iron Tooth right in the snout and quickly soaking through his skin, entering his bloodstream and making him retch violently. A few minutes pass before he can move again; he lifts his head to glare at Lostprophet, tears streaming from his eyes, and he prepares to gather a Toxic of his own. In a last stand, though, the distracting orb of light darts in front of his eyes again; in his distraction, he swallows the acid he'd already vomited up, burning his throat raw. He whimpers very slightly as the orb, its job done, fades away out of existence, while Lostprophet looks on in amusement.

Round 13 Begin!

Iron Tooth seems to be psyching himself up as the round begins, and Lostprophet decides to take full advantage of his distractedness. Leaping into a run, she dissolves into a crackling black energy, darting around the back of Iron Tooth. She punches him as hard as she can at the base of the spine, and he screeches and leaps up, whipping around to face Lostprophet and trying to swipe at her. He's far too late, though, since by the time he's even processed the blow she has returned to energy form, leaping over him and returning to her own area of the field. She grins widely as he tries to find his opponent, turning around in wild circles. Quickly becoming so dizzy that he has to sit down, he lets his head return to normal before leaping up, his eyes alight with a cold hard fire. And that fire suddenly extends beyond his eyes: a blue flame ignites, quickly growing to coat his entire body. He roars, consumed by the power, and charges towards Lostprophet, leaving a trail of flame behind him. He tackles her as hard as he can and crushes her between her weight, draconic flames licking at her semisolid form.

Struggling madly to try to escape, Lostprophet finds herself unable to. In her panic, phasing through the ground doesn't even occur to her; all she can think to do is attack. Forcing her hands under Iron Tooth's blazing form, she calls up all her available strength and charges up another shadowy orb, launching it away from herself with him on top. He flies in a neat parabolic arc through the air, landing with a horrible thump on the ground. He doesn't move again.

With a look of worry, Ampharos recalls his Pokémon, while on the field the draconic fire slowly dies away.

Lostprophet is determined to get at least one attack in before going down. She begins to gather a cocktail of chemicals from within her body, mixing them together in her mouth. Shuddering just a little at the taste, she spits it violently at Doppelgäng'd, a viscous purple muck landing in his wool coat and quickly soaking through to his skin, from there entering his bloodstream and causing him to suddenly feel very, very nasueous. Fighting it off as best he can, he glares at Lostprophet, gathering the static electricity from his coat into his tail, which lights up like a lamp. Raising it high, he gathers more and more energy, until suddenly a massive electrical arc leaps forward, striking Lostprophet square in the chest. A yellow light illuminating her body from the inside, she lets out a horrible, piercing scream, collapsing forwards as the attack ceases.

Her unconscious form doesn't even twitch, completely motionless as Coroxn recalls her and the glow in Doppelgäng'd's tail fades away.

Coroxn's next and final Pokémon is a small, yellow, humanoid creature, which emerges from its Pokéball in a sitting position and apparently fast asleep. It does seem to have a handle on the situation, though; it certainly seems aware of the situation. It opens one eye very slightly, waking up for a moment, but closes it again, falling back into slumber.

Doppelgäng'd raises his tail again, the orb on the end beginning to glow a pale green color. Shaking it slowly back and forth, a rich, resonant ringing is heard, leaving the referee to wonder just what's in that orb. The green glow spreads to Doppelgäng'd's entirety, the mystical effects of the move quickly purging the poison from his veins; he grins, the relief evident. Delphi raises his hand, a pale yellow glow outlining it, and Doppelgäng'd's eyes briefly flash the same color; all thoughts of other moves overwritten with Heal Bell, Delphi lowers his hand.

As he does, he begins to clear his mind of all unnecessary thoughts - not that there are too many in there, most of his brain is concerned with sleeping. He quickly shores up his mental defenses as best he can, simeltaneously funnelling just a little extra energy into the part of his brain reserved for mental attacking. Doppelgäng'd, meanwhile, begins to wave his tail again, the soothing peal filling the arena; this time it's essentially useless, though.

Deciding to use up a little of that redirected energy, Delphi casts his mind outwards in sleepy ripples, feeling the mind of every tiny creature in turn before coming to Doppelgäng'd. A pale pink glow shows between his eyelids as he batters at Doppelgäng'd's mind, quickly tearing away a layer of mental defense and attacking everything he can find within. Doppelgäng'd winces, a heavy migrane beginning to form, but continues with his next ringing chime regardless, hoping he can use another move sometime soon.

Doppelgäng'd quickly becomes outlined in the same light, slowly beginning to lift off the ground; when his feet no longer touch the ground he realizes something is amiss, and begins flailing around, as though trying to swim in the air. It produces no results, of course, and he resorts to the only other move he can think to make at the moment. He begins to swing his tail, the soothing chime echoing around the arena but doing nothing to let him drop. Suddenly whatever Delphi did to his mind wears off, and he can think to use other techniques again.

He bleats pitifully and struggles against Delphi's suspending force again, before raising his tail once more, lighting up the bulb with a yellow light this time. Static electricity begons arcing from it, stopping, oddly, at a certain distance, in complete defiance of how electricity should behave. It spreads and merges, forming a perfect sphere around him; Delphi ignores it completely. Tracing vague shapes in the air with his finger, he begins to tap into another energy, this one more directly dangerous. His finger begins to leave a purple line in its path, and he draws a formless shape; in a purple flash, a blob of toxic goo appears, which he hurls at his opponent with a lazy wave of his hand. It lands on the Mareep's coat in almost the same place as Lostprophet's earlier attack; like hers, it soaks through quickly, entering his bloodstream.

Delphi lowers his arm, sitting back down suddenly - his spindly legs aren't meant to support his weight for very long. He rests his head on his knees as his eyes glow yellow behind his eyelids yet again, his mind sweeping over the entire arena. Sixth sense nothing, he chuckles to himself, this is the first sense. He quickly focusses on Doppelgäng'd's mind, though, and batters away at its weak spots again; the Mareep flails around in midair, unable to control his motions. The very second Delphi leaves his mind, he charges up the static electricity in his wool as fast as he can, until suddenly a bolt arcs right through the shield and to Delphi. He lets out a scream, the electricity coursing through his nerves and making him feel as though his skin is on fire; after what seems like an eternity, it abates, and he shudders; that was not an experience he wants to repeat. In some form of retaliation, he releases the energy holding Doppelgäng'd up, hoping he'll land badly; instead the shield passes slowly through the ground, slowing his fall enough to make it a soft and comfortable landing.

Right, start off with Thunder Wave, then Charge, and finish with Thunderbolt. Makes sure to use Thunder Wave until it works though.

Thunder Wave ~ Charge/Thunder Wave ~ Thunderbolt/Thunder Wave
