• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Der Weltkrieg, The Kanto-Johto War

Vanilla noticed a passing Ledian. It buzzed, saying, "May I please have a MooMoo Milk?"
Vanilla turned around. It looked weak, barely staying airborne. She immediately handed it the MooMoo Milk sixth from the left on the top shelf. "One of my freshest," she said, and watched the Ledian as it thanked her and left.
"I love this job," the Miltank said to herself.

((Sorry. I think I'll say that he's sending an envoy to discuss a treaty instead. Thing is, being that he's a leader and all, it's hard not for him to be very involved.))

Casri emerged from his hollow in the side of Mt. Silver, leaning forward to stretch his neck, and then took flight, soaring over the rugged and rocky cliffs of Route 23, arriving at Indigo Plateau a few minutes later. Spotting his landing site, he slowed down, fluttering downwards to a high, smooth platform that he had selected as his center of authority. His deputy was already waiting for him when he touched down. Somehow, the Marowak was always there he was, no matter how early it was, to Casri's private chagrin. Pushing those thoughts aside, he opened his beak to address his deputy.

"Paro. I trust you have done your work?"

"Yes, Kasaro. I have told the envoy all that she needs to know."

"He is to say that it is a peace and neutrality agreement, and provide no specifics? To ask that the meeting place be east of Pewter, and to act...Hah...respectful?"

"Yes, Kasaro, sir, all of that. I have told him to come here before setting off. He should be arriving-there!" He exclaimed, gesturing to the purple bat approaching them at a rapid pace-perhaps eager to show up and then leave as soon as she could, the Skarmory noted amusedly, giving the Crobat a scrutinizing glance. "You are the messenger I have asked for, correct? I do hope you know the way to Saffron. I wouldn't enjoy having to get some other messenger."

Gulping invisibly, the Crobat nodded quickly, while furiously flapping her wings to stay upright. She didn't know the exact way to the city, but she wasn't going to admit that to her leader, and she had a good idea of its location anyway. "Very well, then," Casri said. "Go off, then." He watched the Crobat fly off, slowly shrinking to appear like a tiny dot in the sky. She would hopefully be at the supposed capital of Kanto in an hour or two.

Meanwhile behind him, Paro was steeling himself, fingering his bone. Finally, he spoke up. "Ah, Kasaro? I...have a question." The Skarmory turned around, eying the Marowak with his usual inscrutable look. Taking his silence as a cue to go on, he continued. " I...don't exactly see why we are pursuing these agreements. Surely we can stand up to anyone?"

It was true, Casri reflected, that his decision to seek peace with the two sides wasn't exactly popular. Many wanted to continue fighting, and were more than a little confused as to why he had suddenly changed their direction. "Stand up to them, yes, that we can do. Make any progress or gain anything, on the other hand? Not possible. What with the two sides being so keen on destroying each other, we'd likely just be caught in the middle and bleed to death. No, I think staying out for the moment is smarter.

"Besides," he smiled, working his wings to take off, "Treaties do not have to be eternal."

Bertoldo responded to the 2 of them, "Travelling merchants, eh? Good to see entrepreneurial spirits around here." A Magnemite floated outside, "Sir, we've loaded the train and we're ready to go."

"Oh good. Well, citizens, I am off to a 'meeting' in Saffron. Farewell, and good luck in your ventures.", Bertoldo said as he headed back inside. He stepped into the train, and up into the driver's compartment. The passenger compartments were loaded with all sorts of Pokemon, ready to fight, and if need be, die for Johto. If all went well, they could take Saffron by surprise. "Alright, let's get this thing going!", Bertoldo commanded as the driver, a Raichu, started the train moving. Hopefully, nobody would try and get in the way, as they would be going very quickly...

Vanilla called, "Get milk here!" That was when she noticed a staggering Eevee. "Poor thing," she said. She handed it a MooMoo Milk, and brought it inside to take care of so it could get better.

((Sorry I haven't been able to post, my computer's dead.))
Moon woke up in Mt. Moon and noticed it was already afternoon. He quickly got up and started his rounds. Afterwards he went back to Mt. Moon and remembered there was a meeting in Saffron, so he left a Clefable in charge and left.
