Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Dragon vs. Involuntary Twitch

Not good :/ Recover as much of your health as you can. Then, to further befuddle her after her Outrage ends, Thunder Wave so as to renew the Paralysis (or Grass Knot if she becomes Ground-type). Then do a good ol' Psychic (or Signal Beam if she's Dark-type).

Recover ~ Thunder Wave/Grass Knot ~ Psychic/Signal Beam

Damn, Recover DD:

So there's nothing you can do on the first action but Outrage, so give it your best shot~ After that, it'll be a good idea if you Chill; hopefully you won't be Ground type and have to take that Grass Knot :< Eeeeh, once you've absorbed that paralysis try to use Facade, but if you fail and be fully paralyzed just Chill. Not much we can do this round, but stay in there so we can get you sum nice experience~

Arena: A field in Holon

A flat, almost completely so, green, thriving field in a supposedly fictional region. Encircling where the battlers will be are odd glowing stones, of a hue of every colour imaginable. Strangely, there are only seventeen stones, though these shift colour every now and then.

There is a legend in Holon, about Pokemon that are not the types they should be, like Psychic Vileplumes or Electric Pidgeots. For a while, this has been only a legend, until such Pokemon where actually found. In Holon, this field is a national park, though small, so destruction is frowned upon, though for whatever reason, Trainers may come to battle, or watch battles here every once in a while.

Not a very smart idea, on the government's part.

Every round, there is an 80% chance of the battling Pokemon spontaneously changing types. Their weaknesses, resistances, and STAB are not the only things that change, however, the Pokemon is coated in an aura of the colour of the type they have changed into, red for Fire, for example, that has a 20% chance of doing 1% damage of whatever type the aura is on contact. These changes fade at the end of each round, though the next round there is still an 80% of a type change. What type the Pokemon changes into is up to the referee.

On the side, there is a small pond for aquatic Pokemon, about twenty feet square and seven meters deep.

Based on the TCG.

Round Twelve

Dragon (XO)

Energy: 35%
Status: In a very, very irrational rage. Paralyzed (mild).
Commands: Outrage ~ Chill ~ Façade/Chill

Phanel (M) <Synchronize>
Health: 16%
Energy: 47%
Status: Fearful for his very life. Badly poisoned (7% this round, 7% next), +2 Attack, -1 Speed. Left arm has been broken and can’t be used unless somehow healed.
Commands: Recover ~ Thunder Wave/Grass Knot ~ Psychic/Signal Beam

Even as Storm snarled and pawed the ground impatiently, waiting for the round to start, the boulders circling Holon Field began to shakily shuffle their colours, as if they too were scared of the crazed Bagon. Within several seconds they slowed down and stopped, like a slot machine, on a deep verdant and sapphire colour. The forest-green glow was barely visible, nearly swallowed up by the dragon fire raging around Storm. On the other hand, the ultramarine aura was very pronounced around Phanel, contrasting greatly against his yellowish skin.

As soon as the stones had settled down, Phanel hastily concentrated bright white energy in his numerous wounds. The white power pulsating around the deepest cuts and largest bruises gradually overtook his new cerulean glow, until his entire body was wreathed in it. Storm, undeterred by this new change, charged towards her opponent at full speed. Even at top velocity, though, her legs couldn’t carry her fast enough. By the time she had reached the Kadabra, biting, scratching, and kicking, the majority of his most major wounds, as well as his previously broken arm, had healed. Storm couldn’t care less. She continued her incredible assault even as Phanel’s white glow died down, revealing scars where cuts had been. Only when she was too tired to keep it up did she step back.

This time, though, her energy was completely spent. The green-blue fire dancing around her finally flickered and died out with a hiss. Her eyes, on the other hand, were still unfocused, but were now slightly crossed. Phanel breathed a huge sigh of relief when he realized his opponent was no longer going berserk; at least that was over.

Heartened by the fact, Phanel shook his left arm just to make sure it was okay, then cupped his spoons together. He drew minute bits of electricity from the atmosphere, just enough to create a weak electric current, and removed the cutlery surrounding the quivering ball, using his psychic powers to accurately direct the Thunder Wave to Storm. It hit her squarely in the stomach. Even though the attack was far from powerful, the disorientation from her Outrage and twitching muscles was enough to knock her onto the ground, where she rolled onto her back and gazed dreamily at the sky. Whaz the point of getting up? she thought groggily. I’m s’pposed to be… chillin’ anywayz…

Phanel could only wish he had the same commands as his opponent did. The energy needed to heal himself twice was massive, never mind the exertion of all the attacking he had done. Nevertheless, he concentrated and extended a psychic reach, locating Storm in an instant and pressing her brain’s pain sensors the next. Her shrieks were slightly distorted and slurred, but it was clear that she was crying out in pain. When Phanel drew back, quite exhausted now, the Bagon’s head was pounding even more than it had before. She tried to struggle to her feet, but the muscles in her legs suddenly locked up, causing her to pitch over and faceplant magnificently into the springy grass. She couldn’t even lift her face off the ground, because the rest of her body followed suit, rendering her completely incapable of movement.

Okay.. okay. Uh oh.

Alright, the chance that you're not able to move is pretty high, so we're in some deep shit here, my Bagon. Why don't you stand up first, haha, and then.. FACADE YES. Erm.. this battle's going to be over soon probably, so go with a Draco Meteor next :o Finally, DRAGON PULSE YES. If at any time Phanel Chills, damn. There doesn't seem to be anything you can do but Chill with him, yo. *snort/shot* Finally, if you find you're paralyzed or can't seem to be able to tell what you're doing and are confused, uh, just relax and kind of. pseudo-Calm Mind. All right Phanel, he's not likely to hit you through his delirious and semi-immobile state. So take a breather and Chill, or dodge any attacks he does manage to throw at you (you should be able to see them coming).

By now the boulders changing their colours at the beginning of each round was written in Phanel’s ‘normal occurrence’ book. Not even bothering to wait for the boulders to decide on their hues, he dropped down in a sitting position with an exhausted sigh of relief. After a few moments, half the stones, as well as Storm, had taken on a tan glow. The Bagon’s face was still pressed against the soil, though, so she could hardly recognize the change. Phanel, his eyes closed and his breathing returning to its normal pace, took on an olive-green glow instead. Had he not been resting, he probably would’ve gotten the inexplicable urge to scuttle under a rock.

Once again, Storm’s muscles decided to seize up, preventing her from rolling onto her side and sneezing out the dirt that had gotten into her nostrils. Against the ground she remained, trying desperately to move her little legs, arms, anything, but they simply would not obey. Frustrated, she tried to listen to her opponent’s movements, and heard nothing; he must be resting. She then sighed, trying to relax, even though her twitching body was making it quite the task. After two minutes or so she started to get bored, and occupied herself with staring at the soil her snout was pressed against – eww, was that a spider crawling through the grass? She squeezed her eyes shut.

Several more moments passed, and Storm decided it was about time she pulled herself back up and pummeled Phanel into submission. Paralysis stood in her way once more, though, and she found herself still unable to do anything other than breathe and twitch occasionally. Not three feet away from her, Phanel opened a bleary eye and, registering that his opponent wouldn’t attack anytime soon, resumed his little nap. Storm strained her ears one more time, listening for any movement, but heard none. Silently she fumed. The stupid Kadabra was probably watching her twitch miserably, stifling his chuckles lest he disturb the ‘sleeping beauty’.

The minutes passed by, both battlers and the referee starting to get bored by the lack of action. Storm tried to rise, but her limbs simply wouldn’t cooperate. She let out a choked wheeze of frustration; Phanel, taking this as a sign that the Bagon was gripped by paralysis for a third time this round, continued to rest, even through the pain the poison in his bloodstream was causing him. The referee rolled her eyes in boredom and pulled a DS Lite out of her pocket, and a moment later the legendary Giratina’s cry was heard from the little handheld device’s speakers.

Storm turned into a Fighting-type, Phanel into a Bug-type. Not that it mattered much this round.
Boring round is boring. Storm was paralyzed all 3 actions.
Because of repeated relaxing, the paralysis severity was lessened. Also, I had Storm regain 5% energy for each action.
And why yes, that's Pokemon Platinum I'm playing thar :o

Just warning you that most referees cap toxic poison damage so that it doesn't increase to the point that it starts doing fifteen-twenty percent damage per round. I usually max out poison damage at 8%.

Oh, oops. :/ I could've sworn that it capped at 12%...

"...capped at a value around 10% and does not increase indefinitely..." as quoted from the guide. Must've been delirious, but I think I'll cap it at 10%.

Now that we've recovered, Phanel, let's deal some damage. Focus Punch, but if she becomes resistant to Fighting (that'd be Bug, Poison, Flying, or Psychic) then Body Slam instead. Chill if you feel like your energy is dipping dangerously low. Oh, and vary up your Body Slam command if he is resistant to Fighting.

Focus Punch/Body Slam/Chill ~ Focus Punch/ThunderPunch/Chill ~ Focus Punch/Shadow Ball/Chill

fgsgdsbhnh.

Hope to high fuck that you are Ghost type yes. Start by getting the hell up hopefully, and then firing a nice Dragon Pulse, put all your stored up anger into the attack and try to knock Phanel back a good distance. FOCUS ON KEEPING HIM BACK. Next, if you failed at doing that you can let it loose with a DRACO BLOODY METEOR, and then finish with Natural Gift, which should be a nice not-missing 95 or 90 attack yay. If Draco Meteor isn't allowed cos STAGE DESTRUCTION then.. Dragon Pulse him away, or try to. For Dragon Pulse and Natural Gift, you probably won't have to move much so just focus on those, Draco Meteor if you can. Don't strain yourself too hard, and if you feel your paralysis letting up TAKE YOUR CHANCE AND ATTACK.

If you find yourself freezing up again, try to spasm out of the way of the attack that may be coming or not- just kidding. If you can't move.. uh, just rest and relax again, but don't use the move Rest. Alright.

Try to get that Draco Meteor outtttt

This time, the stones circling the arena didn’t seem inclined to do anything. Phanel could almost imagine a voice saying, Screw it, if you guys are just going to lie there, we’ll be lazy too! while Storm was still thrashing, or at least trying to, in aggravation.

Deciding to concentrate on the battle, Phanel clenched a tight fist around a spoon, once again shrouding it in a tan-coloured energy that was, at first, barely noticeable. Not far from the humanoid Pokemon, Storm had finally pummeled her twitching muscles into submission and managed to stumble to her feet – only to trip over a small rock she did not see in her swimming vision and fall down all over again. The Bagon managed to twist to the side in an attempt to preserve the delicate bones in her snout, but failed to factor in one of the seventeen large boulders that was on her left… Ouch. Her hard skull struck the rock with a sharp, unpleasant crack and she let out a slurred cry of pain.

Meanwhile, Phanel had finished concentrating an absurd amount of energy into his fist: it was now glowing so bright it was painful to look at. Stepping towards his opponent, the Kadabra gave a shout before driving his radiant hand into Storm’s side at an inconceivable speed. Evidently able to feel the full shock of the attack through her confusion, the Bagon screeched in terrible agony as one or two of her ribs cracked under the pressure, and as Phanel drew his hand back a mighty bruise had already formed where the Focus Punch had made contact.

Much to Storm’s dismay, the impressive attack was too much for her muscles to handle. Her side screamed in protest before locking up, followed by the muscles in the rest of her body, except for her mouth. It remained mobile, much to the dismay of Phanel, as she shouted all the abuse she could think of, as well as all the nasty swear words, at him. On the sidelines, Dragon winced, clearly startled that her Pokemon knew such… colourful words.

Her foul phrases fell on deaf ears. Once again, Phanel was imbuing his fist with fighting-type energy until it was actually vibrating; then he dealt another explosive punch. Storm’s wildly contracting muscles worked for her this time, though, as she suddenly jerked to the side, saving her already-bruised side from even more pain. Instead, Phanel’s fist connected with her back, sending a painful jolt up her spine.

Storm shivered as he nerves were jostled around; then she realized with dim shock that she could move. Phanel had already shifted into position, clutching a glowing fist with his other hand, eyes closed in concentration. Determined not to be the victim of a muscle-packed punch for a third time, Storm fought through her swimming thoughts and reached down deep within herself. Pulling out some unknown power, she channeled the energy into her mouth and shot it outwards in the form of a pure-white beam. Normally it would’ve missed Phanel by a quarter of a meter, but it suddenly swerved and hit the Kadabra full on in the face. With his eyes squeezed shut, Phanel hadn’t seen the beam approaching, so he stumbled back in shock, his concentration faltering and causing the aura around his fist to fade away.

Apparently, high fuck didn’t answer Dragon’s prayers, because there was no type change.
Storm was confused on the 1st action and paralyzed on the 2nd.
Confusion lessened so much this round because getting hit repeatedly by strong attacks (Like, I don’t know, 150 BP?) does that.

gfghlpfh.

Alright, focus on the fact that you won't have to move much and go go go Natural Gift. If he Protects or Detects then Dragon Dance, or attempt to. Finally, if you feel like shit and can't move just Chill. DD: Our battle just turned around, it seemed. >_<

Natural Gift/Dragon Dance/Chill x3

Attack her, before your poison can kill you. Gauge her weakness depending on his type and attack him with one of the elemental punches: Fire if she's Grass, Bug, Ice, or Steel, Ice if she's Dragon, Flying, or Ground, Electric if she's Water. If all attacks will be neutral on her then default to Fire Punch.

It was anything but unexpected when the seventeen stones started shuffling their colours wildly again. As Storm strained against her twitching muscles and Phanel observed his opponent to see what type she would become, half the boulders settled on a deep crimson red, while the other half became an erratic yellow that jumped from white to ochre. Storm felt her body temperature rise several tens’ of degrees and squirmed in discomfort even as a fiery aura closed around her. At the same time, Phanel literally began to crackle with static, the electricity causing him to glow a creamy lemon colour.

Registering Storm’s type as fire, Phanel thought for a bit before nodding to himself and drawing electricity in the atmosphere to his fist. His new elemental affinity seemed to make it much easier, some of the saffron aura leaping eagerly to his hand to bolster his attack’s effectiveness. It took only a few seconds for the Kadabra to gather enough static. With a tired grin he brought it down hard on his opponent’s body, the electricity jumping off his fist and onto Storm’s scales, crackling loudly before fizzling away.

The heated nature of her new aura as well as the shock of Phanel’s attack seemed to loosen Storm’s muscles, and after taking a moment to recover, she swung her head towards her opponent, ready to attack him with another hot-white beam. This turned out to be a mistake. At the slightest sudden movement, the world began spinning, filling the Bagon with a horrible nauseous feeling and a pounding headache. She cried out in frustration and agony, and eventually it became too much to handle, forcing her to sit down on the springy grass. God, why did her head hurt so much?

Phanel looked at the groaning Bagon at his feet and grinned. It looked like he wouldn’t have to do much before the exhausting battle was finally over. Once again he gathered electricity around his fist and gave Storm a powerful punch once he deemed the amount of static satisfactory. This time, though, the sparks did more than burn against his opponent’s skin. Several hissing tendrils seemed to seep through Storm’s scales, aggravating her already tight muscles. She screeched in pure exasperation as she felt her limbs spasm and lock up, rendering her immobile yet again. Damnit, damnit, damnit! she raged inside her head, now wanting nothing more than to rip Phanel from limb to limb, but feeling too battered to do so.

By now Storm was teetering on the brink of unconsciousness. Not bothering to gather the usual amount of electricity, Phanel punched his opponent one last time. Even though it was weaker than the previous two, it was enough to push the Bagon over the edge. Storm brought one arm hard against the floor crossly, swearing once more in her mind, before succumbing to the creeping black fringes around her vision.

As Storm’s eyes slipped shut, Phanel let out a whoop. Victory! He cringed as the poison lingering in his system attacked his insides, but it wasn’t like it mattered anymore anyway.
