no, my point was why the hell would anyone buy a console for the sole purpose of playing a game that won't be out for ages? The console would be completely useless in the mean time. (If they also got it for MGS4, though, that isn't just "for Final Fantasy", and makes sense.)

Dunno. All I know is the incentive I'd have to buying a PS3 is for a blu-ray player that has the bonus of playing some games. Although in all honesty I really haven't gotten into the whole HDTV thing.
 
I'm glad XIII is for 360. I was getting a 360 for Christmas anyway, so this just makes it even better :D
However, if XIII turns out to be another XII, I shall be very very pissed.
 
FFXIII looks like it's going to be pretty lame. if it was another FFXII, then that might actually be decent. but no they're going with magical colour changing eyes + hair for the main character for one of the games. also dude genderbent Cloud? When it's been long enough that they've forgotten Cloud's characterization? Please no.
