• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Hi Peeplez

I wonder how Pichu Chris will react to that...

So, I'm Superbird, the resident Bird-lover on this forum. I also do scratch spriting, so...whatever. I'm also the chief provider of Beverages, Fish, and Pastries. Any combination is yours...Just remember, the river is polluted with tea. So we also ave TeaCod!...And teasalmon, teadace, teacrab...

Additionally, do not step on the welcome mats, no matter what anyone tells you. They will try to eat your brains. But if they can't get to your brains, they'll settle for your leg. Instead, wipe your feet on that perfectly safe regular mat over there *points*. Cheers!

Welcome to the cave. Blade here, and I would offer you tea and cod, or warn you about carnivorous welcome mats, But that bandwagon's full, please catch another, so I guess I won't.

I WILL, however, advise you to at least look at the Anime-Style Battling part of the forum. (It's like a contract/pact thing, I have to ask every new member.)

Also, Pichu Chris would probably like to have a word with you.

The Dangers Of the Welcome Mat
While lurking about in the alleyways of TCoD, Nemec notices a small crowd on the street she has nicknamed "Newbie Way". A few people point to a welcome mat. She assumes they are talking about the leg-munching mat. They also point to a river. It looks like a river of tea. Nemec is startled when a cod suddenly flops out of the river onto a plate conveniently placed on the shore. She decides to name the river "TeaCod". She returns her attention to the crowd. Thinking of maybe telling them about her art-request shop, Nemec walks toward the crowd, forgetting about the leg-noming mat. From afar ,it looks like a regular mat, but as she steps on it, a there appears to be a rip in the middle of the mat, which soon forms itself into a mouth with six-inch long fangs. Nemec hears a scream, which she later identifies as her own, as her leg falls into the monster!mat's jaws. There is a sickening crunch as the leg-devouring mat makes quick work of biting her leg off at the hip. Nemec drags herself away quickly, mumbling about having to get a new leg, again, and decides to never to welcome another newbie again.
