If you got to add or remove any Brawl character..

Which one would you add or remove? Think of things like this before saying a character:

  • The character should be a main/VERY important character, and fairly popular.
  • Some characters wouldn't really fit in Brawl, such as Pyramid Head, that guy from No More Heroes, etc. As their games are pretty violent.
  • Some characters are way to important to be removed, such as mario, Kirby, Samus, etc.
  • State a reason why you would add or remove a character.

Personally, I'd add:
  • Rayman, I freaking love him, and the Rabid Rabbits games are pretty popular.
  • mewtwo, he was in meelee, so why not?
  • Eevee, because it's awesome, and very popular in the games, it's final smash would be evolving depending on what the stage was like! :D
  • Because it's the most awesome pokémon EVER, 'nuff said.

On the other hand, I'd remove:
  • Jigglypuff, there is, excluding the ones that's in Brawl, and Arceus, who's not officially revealed yet, 487 Pokémon, 487 different pokémon to choose from, and they choose a WORTHLESS Kirby ripoff? In the flash version, the Jigglypuff sprite is just a edited Kirby sprite, it sucks so bad it doesn't even have a sprite!
  • Toon Link, he's just as important as Dr. Mario, but they didn't keep him? He's just Link drawn in a different way.

So, what character do you think should have been in Brawl?
 
I'd remove Toon Link, for the reasons already stated and also because I think that being called 'toon' is just stupid, even if he is one. And because Young Link was better IMO.

I'd get rid of Wolf because I just don't like clones, and we Fox already has Falco.

I wouldn't remove Snake or Sonic. Sonic does fit more than Snake, but I probably think they don't fit for a different reason. I'm guessing because they're thirds party? I just think they're out of place because Snake's every move being bombs just doesn't fit. That and Sonic is just way too fast. Although I've got to admit that Snake's final smash can be fun.

Who I'd add?

I'd probably add Wolf Link and Midna (to replace Toon Link or be to Link as Shiek is to Zelda), and Krystal.

Wolf Link and Midna would probably do well, not sure of all of the moves, but I wouldn't want the final smash to be fused shadows because it would be very similar to Mr. Game & Watch's final smash.

As for Krystal, I think she should have been in instead of Wolf. As for her attacks, I guess she could use the staff from Starfox Adventures.
 
I'd love it if Lloyd from Tales of Symphonia was in there somewhere. I'd love it if anyone from ToS was in there, but Lloyd's the main character, so he'd be the one they'd pick.

Fran from Phoenix Wright would be hilarious. Anyone from PW/AJ would, but Fran actually has a weapon, so she makes the most sense.

Tails and maybe Knuckles from Sonic would be fun, and Raiden/Liquid/Revolver Ocelot/Sniper Wolf/The Joy/Big Boss/Old Snake from MGS would be awesome.

Pokemon Trainers from all the generations; I know it'd probably be Pokemon Overkill, but it's not fair that Red gets all the attention.

They just brought Disgaea out on the DS, so I'd love to see Laharl/Etna/Flonne.

And they should bring back the ones they took out; what was the point? Even if they were nearly the same, some people liked playing as them ):
 
I would remove Lucas, Ness is already crap enough.
They should remove Jigglypuff and Toon Link even though I like him.
They should add Mewtwo again and Regi trio and Pokemon Ranger with Plusle and Minun
 
I'd boot Toon Link. How many Links do they need? Jigglypuff should go too.

They should add a 2nd or 3rd generation Pokemon, possibly Scizor or Blaziken, NOT mewtwo. The only way I'd want mewtwo in is if he replaced the Sandbag.

They should also add another Zelda character, instead of another version of Link. Midna is a good choice.

Just to let you know, the flash versions aren't official games, so they don't reflect the opinions of Sakurai or anyone else involved with Smash.

I don't see why people hate Jigglypuff so much. Jigglypuff was selected because, at the time of SSB64, she was a recurring character in the anime, thus fairly popular. Of all the characters removed in Brawl, she wasn't because Jigglypuff was in the original game.

As for characters they should add, Pichu and Mewtwo are on my list, and also Knuckle Joe (as a PLAYABLE character)/Waddle Dee, Tails, and Ridley.
 
add more characters from the mother series. it's a shame that it's such an unloved franchise, there are many characters that would work well in ssb, like the maskede man, kumatora, paula, duster etc.
get rid of jigglypuff and rob. i know jigglypuff has been there from the start, but there are so many more viable pokemon to choose from now. heck, there were even better pokemon to choose from in the first smash bros game (i'd have meowth in the game over jigglypuff any day, meowth was meant to be in the first smash bros anyway)
and about rob, meh i just hate rob. they could have put a more decent character in his place (tom nook ftw |D)
 
I'd replace Red with Gold/Jimmy, using Piplup, Grovyle and Typhlosion. Same reason as Danni.

I would get Nightmare(Soul series) in there. Or Kratos(God of War). Just because they're awesome. Oh, and Fran(PW). That whip was made for Brawl.

The Hero and/or Yangus from Dragon Quest VIII. Since they already have Marth/Ike.

Joe and/or Sylvia from Viewtiful Joe.

Get rid of every other Link save for TP Link. The Toon Link thing is a bit of a novelty, like Ditto. Speaking of which, Ditto may be good as a trophy.

Altair(Assassin's Creed) or Tyranitar may be good as trophies. And the Brain training Guy as a trophy; working the same way as the Nintendogs.

I'd kick out Jigglypuff, it's presence annoys me. And maybe Ness too, Lucas ftw.

As for adding characters, I'd say Kamek, and if possible Ratchet & Clank and Jak.
 
I agree with Danni; That Laharl/Etna/flonne should be in, as well as the PW cast, but I think that there should be at most 2 Pokemon trainers; 1 male and 1 female. Too many would ruin it.
 
Oh yeah, I thought of something.

Fuck Red, they should have added Lucas/Dawn/Pearl instead, they're more awesome, especially pearl. >:3
 
I'd take out Olimar (replace w/Agumon), Jigglypuff (replace w/Darkrai), Toon Link(replace w/Midna), Sandbag(replace w/Krystal[w/Star Fox Adventures Outfit & Staff]), R.O.B.(replace w/Ace [from Dinosaur King]), and Ness (replace w/Black Mage [from the ORIGINAL Final Fantasy])
 
@theinsanething: R&C would be epic, but I dunno about Jak. Jak & Daxter, maybe.

And lest we forget Vic Rattlehead as a sticker/trophy.
 
ATTENTION PEOPLE! Sandbag is not a character, thus if you remove him you will be making your replacement an item.
 
Again; I don't see the point of taking out characters. Somebody plays using them; just add in more characters you like; don't take your rage at the absence of Midna out on the Jigglypuff players.

Le sigh. SSBB needs way more females. But Nintendo, with the exception of Samus, doesn't make decent games with female leads. It's lose-lose ):
 
Jigglypuff without a doubt. Just why?

In her place, I doubt I'd put anyone who's the tiniest bit likely to be let in.
 
I have to admit, I do wish there were more female characters. I was hoping a girl would be an alternate costume for Pokemon Trainer...

Add her in as a main. Not sure what Pokemon she'd have through - if anyone else noticed, a starter from each gen was featured in the Pokeball Pokes (Grass - 2nd Gen Chikorita : Fire - 3rd Gen - Torchic : Water - 4th Gen - Piplup). So it'd be difficult to give her a team made from the starters of a gen.

Throw in some more third party. I know it's Nintendo's game but it sucks that there was only one Sonic/MGS stage, the main character from each fanchise and one Assist Trophy each. Tails or Knuckles would be popular as fighters and I have no idea why Chao weren't featured as an assist. That seemed the most obvious thing to do to me o.o I can't say much about MGS since I've never played the games >_<
Also, some different third parties too. Can't think of any off the topic of my head...
