• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Invisible post?

Sometimes when I post, the forum doesn't acknowledge that I did and when I check the forum, it says the thread was last posted by whoever posted before I did. Like I updated my thread in the Games, but the forum told me Mendatt was the latest poster despite I just posted. o_o Is it just me?

That is indeed an invisible post, and for other users it will not appear either. How you fix: just post again. Delete the second one if you like after posting it; it gets rid of the invisible post.

What I find is that it normally happens if your post is the first post of a new page! It's remedied as soon as another post is made to that same thread, though.

for the record, mods aren't going to tell you off for double-posting to make your posts appear, so long as you delete the extra one.

Or if it looks like the double post was accidental. Or if one of a billion other things are true. Mods usually don't care about double-posting if it looks either accidental or intentional in a "I know there's an edit button but I have a reason for multiposting" way. Honestly the double-posting rule is kind of stupid; it pretty much only gets applied where the spam rule'd work, too.
