Involuntary Twitch vs. Little Dawgie

Teropea, talk to us-- Sleep Talk until you wake up, then Giga Drain on Aysu.

Start with a Yawn, Waita, and hope that the Chinchou is too confused to get a Discharge off before she succumbs to sleep. After that, if she's asleep Chill, if not, Body Slam. Repeatedly!

Teropea:

Waita:
Yawn ~ Chill/Body Slam ~ Body Slam

2vs2, double battle
DQ: 5 days
Damage Cap: 70%
Banned Moves: OHKOs, Earthquake, Direct recovery moves (ie Rest, Recover), Attract
Arena: Olympic swimming pool

There's no olympics this year, but that shouldn't stop us from trying, right! This match takes place in and around a large swimming pool, olympic-sized (that's 50 meters long, yes?) and 12 feet deep, with a shallow end on both sides that's 3 feet deep. The pool is divided into 6 lanes, separated by those floaty lane divider things. The water is a nice temperature, and doesn't have chlorine (for the Pokemon's safety).

All around the pool is a walkway for landlubbers, which is made of cement and about 3 meters wide, and then there are walls, a very high ceiling (10 meters) and windows. Don't go out of them. Weather effects such as Sunny Day will work, but to less of an effect than normal, and Hail and Rain Dance will have no effect whatsoever.

Aysu suddenly feels terribly alone as she stands on the bed of the pool, facing off against an (admittedly fast-asleep) plant-dinosaur thing and a rather angry seal with barely a scratch on it. Ignoring the overwhelming odds against her, she focusses on what Waita said about her beautiful tentacles and begins to charge up energy in them, with considerable malice. She concentrates steadfastly on her hatred for the big fat seal and its slumbering comrade- rather too strongly, as her tentacle becomes electrified to a dangerous extent without her noticing, and fiercely spits sparks all around the area and in her face. Yelping in surprise, she trips and lands with a bubbly thud on the floor of the pool. Waita laughs nastily as the Chinchou struggles to her feet, growling and rubbing her fresh bruises. Meanwhile, Teropea, asleep and unaware of Aysu's underwater antics, mutters and squirms in her sleep. Though fast asleep, she seems to move consciously, tensing her muscles protectively as if anticipating some sort of impact. A slight bluish glow exudes from her body as she does so. Looking in confusion at his cohort, Waita shrugs this strange behaviour off, thinking maybe the glow's just a trick of the light caused by the water or something. He looks up at the mighty Tropius slumbering, and thinks how much he'd rather be napping just now... he doesn't have many injuries, but his energy could be a little higher. Yes, a nice little kip in his Pokéball would be just the ticket right now. Thinking intently about sleep, he can't stifle a big yawn, opening his mouth ridiculously wide and releasing a stream of yawn-bubbles. Seeing this, Aysu blinks sleepily and responds in kind. When her yawn ends, she feels... suddenly irresistibly tired.

Blinking drowsily, Aysu begins to charge up electricity in her tentacles once more; in a sort of tired angriness, he pumps power into them for all she's worth until they become two crackling balls of electric power. With a fishy roar she slaps them on the floor of the pool, unleashing a burst of electricity that fills the whole pool. Stepping back from any puddles that may have sloshed onto the sides, the trainers and referee look cautiously at the crackling pool of electrified water; Teropea's head spasms wildly on the poolside, her face contorted into a strange, sleepy frown of pain, and Waita's screeches bubble up from the base of the pool as the electricity plays havoc with his nervous system, shutting down muscles and screwing with neurones. When the electrical storm in the pool dies down, he finds himself barely able to move; Aysu, meanwhile, has finally given into that catchy, catchy yawn, and is now asleep before Waita. Teropea, still sound asleep despite the Discharge (though somewhat more lightly), suddenly stands up, eyes still shut tight, and dives below the surface again, her wing once more glowing with green energy. It slashes through Aysu lightly, leaving not so much a gash as a tiny graze. As soon as the attack finishes, Teropea's head flops to the poolside and she continues her slumber. Waita, seeing Aysu sleeping soundly, decides she's no threat and takes an action off to just hang back and chill, restoring some of his expended energy.

Teropea squirms again, letting out another sleepy snort, before lying stock still. Another blue glow forms around her, and then mysteriously solidifies into a shield of energy. Aysu mutters and squirms too, her tentacles lighting up slightly as if she's dreaming about firing off a Discharge, but remains napping on the pool bed without attacking. L'il Dwagie tuts in frustration; stupid thing should be battling, not napping on her time! It's gonna get a Force Spanking when this is over, the Riolu thinks bitterly. Waita, feeling refreshed and having partially expelled the weird feeling in his muscles, rolls forward and pushes himself off the base of the pool with his fins. Aiming for Aysu, he pushes all his weight down towards the Chinchou and drops through the water like a brick, crushing her with all his might. Yelping in her sleep, Aysu blinks one sleepy eyelid before returning to sugarplumtown. Teropea remains fast asleep as well as her shield fades sheepishly, and the two's naps are interrupted only by painful shudders as their respective poisonings kick in.

Terrain Notes
There are now several small, melting chunks of ice floating on the surface of the pool. There is poison in the deep end behind Aysu that is gradually weakening; by Round 7 it will be gone. In round 6 it will deal 2% damge to anyone venturing there.

Final Notes
- Teropea's Sleep Talks became Endure, Fury Cutter, and Protect respectively.
- Aysu succumbed to confusion on the first action, dealing herself a few points of damage.
- Discharge paralysed Waita.
- sleep prevented Aysu from acting on the last action.
- Involuntary Twitch attacks first next round.

Wake up Teropea and for Arceus' sake heal yourself off of that Chinchou goddangit.

Waita, continue Body Slamming and hope she doesn't wake up. Paralysis would be a good side effect too.

Well lets make this quick, that freeze really iced me- *is killed*
(Though it's been pointed out to me that that Blizzard -shouldn't- have frozen being the first freeze inducing move that hit, and it shouldn't have lasted that long, nothing to be done now. But Twitch I shall be demanding a rematch~ Still something to settle, kyaha~)

Aysu talk in your sleep of zapping giant tree dragons and tiny insolent seals, I hear you doing that all the time. But better yet, wake the frick up and start Discharging again - at least kill the Dragon thing aye? So close to that XP point.

Sound asleep, Aysu writhes and mumbles in her sleep, muttering a few indistinct words and snoring lightly. Her quiet, light snores gradually begin to grow louder, and Waita frowns at her in annoyance. Suddenly she lets out an unearthly, booming loud explosion of snoriness, so loud even those above the surface her it. Waita squeals in surprise and falls over, banging his face against the floor of the pool, and Teropea's eyes snap open; she flinches in astonishment and smashes her head against the floor on the poolside. Groaning, she stands up and blinks the yellow crap out of her eyes, before somehow remembering the orders Involuntary Twitch gave her while she was sleeping. Pondering the strangeness of this eventuality, she shrugs and closes her eyes; hundreds of green orbs of life force ooze from Aysu's body and float through the water into Teropea's body, latching to her wounds and soaking into her, healing up a few of the bruises and cuts littering her body. Waita, meanwhile, begins rolling across the base of the pool, building up as much speed as possible before slamming full-force into Aysu, crushing her with all his weight. Aysu squeaks sleepily in pain, before rolling over and continuing her nap.

Again, Aysu begins to mutter indistinctly, squirming and talking in her sleep. Suddenly, she flies at Waita and whips him with a tentacle. Waita squeals in shock, amazed at how suddenly Aysu awoke; but as the Chinchou jumps on him and begins to whip and thrash him furiously, he notices that Aysu is still fast asleep, eyes squeezed shut, muttering and snoring softly; yet she's still clinging to him and beating him viciously and desperately with every last drop of her almost-depleted energy. Waita can do nothing but shriek as the Chinchou savagely thrashes him to pieces like some sort of demented, possessed puppet before leaping off and returning to her slumber. Waita, unnerved, shuffles away from her gingerly, rubbing his many new bruises. Teropea growls down towards the water; what the hell? Aysu can do that?! She has to be destroyed immediately, for the sake of everyone. Again closing her eyes, she pulls more of Aysu's life force, dragging it through the air towards her and absorbing it. Her wounds heal slightly, but she still feels pretty bad; hopefully Aysu won't attack her again or she could be done for...
...but Aysu doesn't look very vicious, even in her sleep. Waita frowns and rolls up to her, poking her with a fin; she doesn't respond. Teropea strolls up, wincing from her injuries, and taps Aysu with her foot; still no response. Teropea looks down at Waita and the two exchange victory cries. Sighing in admitted defeat, Dwagie recalls Aysu from the bed of the pool, and Involuntary Twitch follows suit with her pair. The two then walk to the end of the pool, and the referee climbs down from his lifeguard chair to distribute prizes and congratulations.
