• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

    Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

    Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Labour Day

Got yesterday off.

Funny how, all members who have posted thus far in this thread are all not from the four countries which seem to make up most of TCOD. (Namely, Canada, the US, Great Britain, and Australia.)

Great Britain is an island, not a country.

ALSO NOW INACCURATE

(Communism has apparently never breached our lonely island shores. No days off for me.)

*has no idea what Labour Day is*

I just realised we don't really... care about... much at all in the UK. o_o;

No, we just don't care about Communist holidays. We used to, I'm sure!

We didn't get labour day off this year because we had a few snow days. We didn't get Martin Luther King Jr. Day off either. :P
Has anybody noticed that we celebrate a day of labour, by missing a day of school/work? It's like a paradox or something (Correct me if I'm wrong). O.o

In the US there is a Labor Day, but that isn't till like, September 1st or some shit like that. I wish we had Labour Day. :(

We've already had our Labour Day in Australia, but I'm fairly sure it has nothing to do with Communism.
