• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

is NOT edible. Unless you're a vampire.
Lush Mountain
Yes, I imitated the format for Black Lotus Forest. My creativity is lacking at the moment.

Towering above much of the Safari Zone is a legendary mountain known as Lush Mountain. And for good reason - both the inside and outside of the mountain are said to be teeming with a decent variety of wild Pokémon. The climb is exhausting, but comes with great rewards. It is said that the higher up the mountain you go, the rarer the Pokémon you should encounter.

After paying $5, you can choose to start your climb among the trees or following the river. For three actions, you can choose to go back and forth between the river and forest. You will have a total of five actions - the last two will be spent on the upper half of the mountain, where you can choose only one of the two paths to use for your remaining two actions. For an extra $1, you can have an extra Pokéball so you can catch a total of two Pokémon instead of the regular one. After each encounter, you can choose to catch the Pokémon/take the item or move on - if you find an item not held by a Pokémon, you can take it without using one of your Pokéballs (though I would think that was obvious =3). If you do not use your Pokéball(s) by the time the fifth action is done, you will not be refunded.

Lower Mountain: Forest

Teeming with some common woodland Pokémon as well as the rare, curious mountain-dwellers from farther up, the forest thins out as you proceed.

Discovered Pokémon

Ekans Bonsly Abra nidoranm Shroomish Noctowl Geodude Seedot Ledyba Burmy-ground Whismur Happiny

Lower Mountain: River

A happy, bubbly place, many Water-type Pokémon like to gather in the river, and at the water's edge. Some even occasionally play in the mud. Looking ahead, the river seems to disappear about halfway up the mountain.

Discovered Pokémon

Carvanha Poliwag Slowpoke Ralts Feebas Marill Buizel

Upper Mountain: Outside

As you climb higher up, the slope quickly becomes steeper and the terrain more rigorous. Tripping over the varieties of Rock-types as well as being attack by the occasional flying Pokémon, it is a difficult climb indeed.

Discovered Pokémon

Loudred Bagon Girafarig Whismur Delibird Solrock

Upper Mountain: River/Inside

Keeping your trail along the riverbank, you discover that it actually did disappear halfway up - into the damp mountain, that is! Surprisingly, you can see fairly well even as you travel into the depths of the mountain. It seems that the fungi on the walls and ceiling provide a bright enough glow for weak human eyes.

Discovered Pokémon

Golduck Grimer Quagsire Marill Jigglypuff Parasect Beldum

(Your first three actions will be spent on the lower half of the mountain - so, through your stay here, it'll be like you're actually climbing. Start with the river or forest, please =3)

As you begin your climb trudging through the woodland on the mountainside, you eagerly look about for any potential captures. But it seems you forgot to look at the ground! As you step on something that makes a crunchy rattling sound, you look down to find yourself staring at an angry male Ekans. Do you catch him, continue, or move to the river?

Wandering about through the trees with a smirk on your face, you wonder what you will encounter. As you admire the scenery around you, you almost miss the female Bonsly hiding behind a tree. Do you catch her and continue, move on, or move to the river?

Blastoise
As you look, discouraged, up at the mountain, you pace along the side of the river. Watching the water seems to calm you, and you have a sudden urge to step in. So you do, and...ow! Something bit you! You pull your leg out of the river to find a male Carvanha clinging determinedly to your shin. Do you catch him, move on, or go to the forest?

As you paddle off, cursing, you come across an adorable male Poliwag who looks up at you with innocent, googly eyes. Oh, and it seems he has his tail wrapped around a Mystic Water! Catch him and go, continue, or move to the forest?

As you confidently travel upstream, you trip over a male Slowpoke - he seems to have been fishing, as his tail is dipped in the river. As you open your mouth to apologize, you notice that he is asleep. Do you catch him and go, continue, or go to the forest?

Tsunami 2/5
You decide to leave the Slowpoke lying there, and you continue along upriver. Before long, you spot a cute little male Ralts stooping over to drink from the river. Uncertainly, you stand there, afraid to make any sudden movements and possibly frighten the little guy off. Catch him and go, continue, or wander into the forest?

Tsunami 3/5
You continue on, quietly, not wanting to disturb the rare fellow. As you trudge on, you hear a splash coming from the river. It's a female Carvanha, and she's...tearing into the carcass of some poor Pokémon. Do you catch her and go, continue into the mountain, or continue on the mountain's exterior?

Me thinks it's time to go inside the mountain, and be the first to see what's in it. Because Carvanha scare me.

Tsunami 4/5
As you run from the horrible sight and straight into the mountain, your fear quickly melts as you stare, amazed, at the glowing moss all over the walls. Your earlier wail seems to have frightened an inhabitant - a female Golduck runs toward you, arms flailing, screaming. In one of her webbed hands is a Water Stone! Catch her and go, or just continue?
