"No! You have no imagination," she said jokingly. "It was about Ciara!" she continued. "Are we going to have food?" She obviously had a one track mind, but who could blame her when she hadn't eaten since the drugged Scientist food? She still clung tightly to Mitch. Yeah, she probably wouldn't let up until food came. "I dreamt that Ciara was swimming here!" Blazaria cheerfully continued.

A little catnap - Vulpixnap - can do a lot for you.

[OOC: Buy a Vulpixnap now, at your local grocery store!]

Of course, I don't have imagination. I like facts. Mitch thought bitterly to himself. She clearly has no intention of letting go. If she still hold on with one hand and feeds herself with the other, I might legitimately scream. He knew he might scream, but again he realized that he had no intention of throwing her or otherwise setting her down until she wanted to be let down. But why? Was it just because of her innocence and child-like personality that compelled him to feel responsible for her while she clung to him? No, Alex was plenty immature, and if he even held onto Mitch's pantleg, he'd probably kick him below the belt. But here was this petite girl clinging to him, -with signs of remote affection, no less- dreaming while she slept into his shoulder, and she somehow kept his disposition high.

He thought that perhaps the dream had been more that just a dream. He'd heard of a few instances where someone's dream, quite literally, came true in one way or another. So while Mitch certainly knew Ciara wouldn't be swimming to Goldenrod, due to it being impractical and uncomfortable, he knew it was possible she was on her way. Most likely by train, since it was the quickest way.

That was assuming that she was heading to Goldenrod at all. If what Saito said was true, and they had a chance of being caught on camera for the world to see, there was the chance that Ciara, or anyone, really, could see them, and get to them. Or Ciara won't give a damn, because she won't recognize us. He thought.

"Not sure she could swim all the way here, especially with a new body."

Saito smiled slightly as she led them down to the dining hall, replying to Alex,

"If you make enemies with everyone that gives food it's going to be hard to get around. Your coin there, not really currency, it's meant for use in the Casino, you might get one spin on the slots, but chances are you won't win. Things are fixed that eighty percent of the time the 'house', in other words the establishment, will win profits, instead of the player. And if you're wondering, the only rson people do that is because they think they can win."

Saito quickly found them a table near a window. She liked it that the dining hall was at the top of the PokéCenter, which was notably taller than the usual PokéCenter. The hall itself was somewhat circular, allowing an impressive view of the surrounding area.

"So, what do you three like to eat? They have excelent selections here." Saito asked handing them eacha menu.

"Yay!" Blazaria flung her arm up in the air, the other wrapped around Mitch's neck. Accepting the menu, she unwrapped her other arm, and thoughtfully flipped through the three pages of her menu.

Try our amazing variety of Berries! Any kind! Ooh. That caption caught her attention. "Any kind? Maybe five Oran Berries, and two Nomel Berries. "I'll have five Oran Berries and... um... two Nomel Berries." Wait, she was thirsty, too. "And some water."

She suddenly had a pang of boredom. How? Don't ask me.

She blinked her eyes, and then watched her thumb glow red to orange to yellow to green as she grinned slightly. Her eyes were laughing, too, but that's how it always is...

"Oh," Alex said with a smirk. He accepted the menu, turned it upside down, and began reading it. "Any kind of berry, huh? Six Liechi berries, one Tanga, and an Enigma. And some soda pop would be good too." His eyes glanced around a bit before settling upon Blazaria's thumb.

"And I bet I could rig the Casino in my favor." His smirk turned into a grin. After all, he did it for a living.

She... She let go? Well, not entirely, at first. She let go with one hand, and with all her weight hanging on the hand around his neck, Mitch felt his airways close. He made a gagging noise before she let go entirely. rubbing his neck a little grudgingly, Mitch sat down, taking the menu.

He had never heard of most of these foods. He knew enough about reading to make out maps, but this menu was just stupid. Are humans really so picky about what they eat? Haven't they heard of taking what you're given? Mitch decided to let it go. Humans were strange. No, Blazaria was strange. Humans were just... Human. Mitch was frustrated that humans could only be described as themselves.

He pulled the little desert card over to him. Something called 'cake.' 'Chocolate' cake, too. Apparantly that made a difference. Some drinks with a warning that you had to be over 21, and some shiny colored stuff in little cups called 'Jello.' He stared at the card with contempt, thinking, Damn you Jello. Whatever you are. He heard both Alex and Blazaria decide on berries. Why not. So he picked a couple of berries. "I'll just go with eight Occa Berries, two Cheri Berries, and four Figy berries. And..." Mitch didn't know what they had to drink. He didn't know whatever Alex had ordered was. "Water." He said.

Saito grinned slightly as she watched the three of them order. They all seemed to have berries on mind, wether it were just the case or they didn't know what else to order due to being unfamiliar with the other things presented on the menu.

"If you'd please, get them each a small drumstick. I'll have a Unovan ribeye steak with fries and a razz berry soda, please." Saito says, completing their order, the server nodding politely and making his way to the next unattended table. "You guys are going to need the protien, it's necessary in a diet. I'm not sure what you used to eat, but it'd be best if you got used to this food for the time being. And Alex, these Casinos have anti-cheat devices to prevent people from using their pokemon to rig game sin their favour, that includes ghost types."

The orders come after a few minutes and each plate is set down in front of the appropriate person, cutlery also provided. "Bon appetité." The waiter says leaving them to their meals.

Going at the speed they were going, the trip to Goldenrod didn't take very long at all. Maybe three hours at most. "The Magnet Train's real fast," said the woman, "but the ship goes a bit roundabou', and then ya still need ta get ta Goldenrod. I prefer jus' ta use my own means of transportation." She said all this as they were riding her speedboat to Goldenrod. Ciara could barely hear her over the wind and the water.

Ciara was having so much fun! She had never gone so fast before, and she loved it! And she could already see the city - it had appeared over the horizon about half an hour ago. There was a giant tower with a sort of needle on top. Maybe that was what the others had meant when they said that humans built towers that could touch the sky.

When they reached the shore, the woman hopped out lightly and said, "could ya han' me the end of tha' rope there? Yeah, tha' one." She looped it around a post, the other end already tied somewhere on the boat, and called, "All righ', come on ou' now!" Ciara climbed nervously onto the dock. Feeling very glad that she hadn't fallen in, she turned to the woman, who smiled at her again, and said, "Thanks fer the company! Mos' of my trips are rather lonesome, ya know?"

"Oh, it's... it's no problem. Thank you for bringing me here."

The woman smiled again, but the laughter in her eyes had disappeared. When she spoke again, her speech was more formal, and her accent had shifted to something Ciara could never hope to place. "I never told you my name, did I? I'm Sarah." Then she said, "Your friends - their names were Blazaria, Mitch, and Alex, weren't they? Well, they'll probably be at the PokeCenter. Can you get there on your own? It's the building with the orange roof." Ciara knew this from Pewter City. "I have to go somewhere. Meet with some colleagues. Good luck!" She turned, and as she went, she dropped a pair of sunglasses, with lenses that were pure black.

"Oh, um, you... you dropped these!" Ciara hurried up to her to return them.

The woman glanced at her over her shoulder. "Keep them. You might need them."

"Oh... alright. Thanks again!" She hurried off towards the PokeCenter, a bit confused and worried. I never told her the others' names, did I? She put on the sunglasses, mostly so she would have her hands free. To her surprise, she could see perfectly fine through them. I wonder what these are? I saw a sign in Pewter City that called these sunglasses, but those mostly had brownish... lenses is what they're called. I need to remember these words!

Ciara looked up at the PokeCenter. The ground floor was the same as the one in Pewter City, but, if possible, more crowded. She skipped the floor in between, as all the curtains were closed. The top floor seemed to be some kind of dining area. Two humans about her age were sitting by the window, one with a Pansage on his shoulder, another with an Absol on her lap. Two adult humans were sitting at the next table, and a young child was running around playfully. And there - at the third table by the window - were Mitch, Blazaria, and Alex, sitting with a girl she didn't recognise.

She dashed through the door. One of the pink haired women came up to her. "May we help you?"

"No, I'm just meeting my friends!" Ciara went right by her, at a quick walk. She went to the staircase. Going two steps at a time, she headed for the top floor. When she reached it, she ran up to her friends' table.

"There you are! It's me, Ciara!" She took off the sunglasses. "See? How'd you all get here? What happened exactly? Why did the Scientists let us go?" Then, with a mistrusting glance at the girl, "Who's that?" She refrained from giving them all a big hug. Something told her that Mitch had had enough of that already.

"CIARA!" Blazaria hopped down from Mitch at last, and ran to Ciara excitedly and leapt on her. She obviously should take a job suffocating people with hugs. "How'd you find us? I dreamt that you were swimming here!" Blazaria almost forgot the 'who is that' question. "That's Saito! She's helping us."

Then Blazaria got jumpier and became so bored. Yes. Jumpier. Who knew that was possible.

"I think they let us go to, um, observe us or something." Blazaria managed to stop being to antsy; telling Ciara details was more important to her. "Well, we're also kind of deciphering it all, too. But I could tell you what happened to me and where I got stuck..." She abruptly shivered slightly. "I'm cold..." She ran back to Mitch and leapt on him again. Yes. Again.

"I'm warmer now!"

She bent over and extended her hand, voraciously consuming one of her Oran berries in one fell swoop. She did the same for the rest, and out of habit and not realizing a drumstick wasn't a Berry, she reached down and felt a change in texture. "Huh? What's this?" She inspected the odd object, noting it was slippery and oily. Glancing at Saito, then to Mitch, then to Alex, she took a small bite. As she chewed, she made a slight face. "Hmhmn..." She ate the rest out of hunger, thinking, This is odd... the entire time. She reached for her water, attempting to lick it like a dog would. After failing to obtain much, she made a furrow with her eyebrows, set down the glass, and crossed her arms irritatedly. "How do you drink this stuff in such odd containers?!" she said.

[OOC: I am obviously evil for getting her back on Mitch. Muahahaha.]

Ciara? Mitch thought for a minute it might be some ridiculous ploy to gain their trust, but then realized that would be pointless. Why pose as Ciara and run the risk of encountering the real Ciara? So he did his best to smile at her briefly, the closest he'd ever get to saying, 'So happy you've returned, friend! Let's celebrate with a massive fireworks show!'

He stared at the chicken, wondering if his taste buds would like it any better now that he needed it. Irrelevant. He decided, as he crammed half of it into his mouth. He could have fit all the meat in, but would rather be able to swallow it without much opportunity to taste it. Devouring the chicken in just a few bites, he was just putting a berry into his mouth when-

Blazaria. Her evil knew no bounds. The impact from her jumping back to him almost forced the Cheri Berry to launch out of his mouth into Alex's face, but because he kept it behind his teeth, he just got some berry juice in his nose. "Aaaand we're back here again." He held Blazaria with some disinterest, trying to find a way he could eat without the use of his hands or feet. He saw Blazaria fiddling with her glass, and wanted to slam his head into a wall. He had done enough observing in the past to witness how humans drank their water. "Try just pouring it into your mouth." He told her.

To Ciara, he said, "In all probability, the scientists released us to observe how we acted in the real world, and how we could blend with humans. On that assumption, I'd think we're some sort of prototypes for something bound to be a bit more geared to a goal than us. I just came not too long ago from the Lake of Rage, so I still need some orientation myself."

Noticing the juice of the berry squirting a little after her jump, Blazaria felt a little guilty. "Sorry..." Her nearly always present grin faded for a moment. She hopped off, and sat down at her chair. Picking up the glass of water, she tried pouring it into her mouth. "So this is how!" Feeling triumphant, she poured more, and more, and more, and m--

Acghk! With water all over her face, Blazaria gagged a little, wiping her face with her hand. "I don't like these." She frowned a bit. "And I woke up in some mountain," she said, turning her head to face Ciara. "Do you know what happened to you?" Blazaria snorted a bit, trying to get the last remains of water out of her nose.

Saito regarded the newcomer with interest, another one of these odd people who were a Pokémon. This one was older than Blazy, but still younger than Saito, but taller than usual. Her dark hair and red eyes were interesting, and Saito began trying to guess as to what she was while she ate. She also was watching the other three eat, finding it somewhat amusing as to their individual reactions to the meat, as well as Blazy's incapability to consume her water without making a mess. Saito finished eating soon enough, and requested the bill, finding it was a small fee for a well prepared lunch.

"So, Ciara, you're another one of their freinds, right? Just wondering, but what species were you prior to this?" Saito asked, a somewhat curious expression on her face. "I'm partially asking so as to ensure I can get an ID for you." Saito already had her PokéTech at the ready, and was hoping Ciara wouldn't be too suspicious of her.

"By the way, my name is Saito Kurohari, I'm a Pokémon trainer, I met your freinds a couple hours ago, and they've already explained everything as best as they could. You have nothing to fear or suspect about me, I have no reason to make a problem of this." Saito said with a sincere smile.

Alex gnawed at an especially hard Enigma Berry - his last one. "Dang. I haven't even been to the Casino and they're already makin' sure I don't steal?" He laughed and smirked. "And ya don't drink water like that, Blazy. You do this." Uncapping his soda, he took a few large swigs.

He glanced at Ciara as she entered, finishing up the rest of his berries. "Haven't seen you in a while, huh?"

Mitch was surprised that Blazaria had let go so easily this time. You mean she'll let go if I let berries go up my nose?... Actually I think I'll stick with her over the berries... Mitch thought, rubbing his irritated nose. He responded to Blazaria's apology with a shrug, and an apathetic grunt. He watched as she managed to spill the water. He watched as Alex tried to make a demonstration. He felt the deep-rooted desire to punch Alex in the face and say, 'she doesn't have a soda, numbnuts,' but again, he refused to succumb to natural desires.

Mitch stuffed a few berries into his mouth, sticking the rest in his pocket for later. "Blazaria, just because you can do something, don't go and overdo it for a little while longer." He wiped a couple of droplets of water off his sleeve.

He couldn't have spoken worse words, because when he tried to take a swig of water, he too misjudged how much he'd get, and also had some up his nose in seconds. He coughed. He hadn't spilled as much as Blazaria, but still found himself mentally kicking himself for speaking before he knew what he was talking about. ... I blame the freaking Jello. He thought as he wiped his face dry with his sleeve.

[OOC: AHAHAHAHAHA!! It is laughable! And I laugh!]

Hardly noticing the grunt of apology (I don't even), Blazaria watched him wipe water off his sleeve. "Sorry!" She felt a bit sheepish, now. She stared down at the ground, attempting to get away from this world of accidents-around-the-bestest-friend-ever. Hearing more water spill and more gagging, she looked up briefly and threw her napkin over to him. Acknowledging Alex's demonstration belatedly, she looked at his bottle, and then her glass.

"Mine is different from yours, I think?" she quizzically stared at her glass.

She tried drinking from the strange container again, picking it up and tilting it into her mouth tentatively, settling for only a small stream of water pouring into her mouth. She smiled slightly. Putting the glass down, she leaned over and laid her head on Mitch's upper arm, hoping that wouldn't initiate berries going up his nose and into his brain. I don't think I'll be jumping onto him anytime soon... she thought, slightly irritated and sadly at the same time. She decided it'd probably bring relief to Mitch, so she supposed it would be worth it.

[OOC: Mitch what have you done you've depressed her over a berry >:(]

Ciara walked up to the table, and leaned on it, figuring there was no point in sitting down if she didn't have any food. "All right, that makes sense... I guess. So I'm an experiment. I figured that out. Sort of." Then she turned to Blazy as her younger friend asked a question. "I woke up in this weird forest in Kanto. I was trying to find my way out when some kid tried to help me." She grimaced. "I stopped trusting him when he said his father was a Scientist. And so I ended up in Pewter City, and I went into a building similar to this one, but some lad saw my tail, so I sort of ran away. I wandered through the town for a while, until I saw you guys on one of those boxes with moving pictures. The screen-thing said you guys were in Goldenrod, and I managed to get this one woman to take me there." Her expression became a bit confused. "At first she seemed really nice, but then she started acting a bit weird. I don't remember telling her your names... and there was no reason for her to just give me these." She held up the sunglasses. "And that's the most I've spoken since I became a human!"

Then she looked back at the girl, Saito. She figured she should trust her if her friends trusted her. "Hello, Saito. I was an Umbreon... humans do call them Umbreon as well, don't they?" She wasn't quite sure of her mastery of the language yet. She laughed a little at Blazaria and Mitch's little exchange. Blazy seemed to be using this as an opportunity to get to know Mitch a little better. Though I don't think jumping on him is going to make him like you very much, little one, she thought, after Blazaria settled back into her chair. She was glad that she wasn't too close to either of them, as they seemed to be having a hard time with their drinks. I probably would be, too, she reminded herself. How do humans drink out of those?

[OOC: TIME ZONES. They hate me. Catching up post is full of catching up.]

"Oh, so that's where you were..." Blazaria paused, formulating her story again. "I was stuck in this big mountain and climbed out and ran down it and got scraped and cut and people helped me and I ran through a forest and a Charizard attacked me and I had to use a special power" - at this she shivered - "and I ran up to Route 36 and found Alex and Mitch! And then we came here and he held me for a long time." She took a large breath to compensate, and then felt warm and fuzzy upon stating how Mitch had carried her. She flung herself over him again impulsively and hugged him tightly before sitting back down.

Mitch found himself not protesting Blazaria's clinging this time. He let her hold his arm without a word. He had gotten the water off his face already, so didn't see much use for the napkin, so he set it back in front of Blazaria, muttering a little thanks. Of course, Blazaria had to state that Mitch had carried her for a time. He wondered if she really cared that much that he had done that.

She briefly jumped him again, and he managed to not protest again. He figured he'd just have to go along with this game, because Blazaria would probably never let up anyways. He may even legitimately get used to her and her strange affections. Huh. Just like the game with the Scientists... Well, Blazaria isn't an enemy, or if she was, I would certainly be confused. Her game isn't threatening, just... Is friendly the right word? Well, whatever he described the game as, it was Blazaria's game, and he was apparently a big part of it.

"Anyways, I'm done," Blazaria announced. Taking back her napkin, she wiped her hands while licking her lips. There were still berry juices, why let them go to waste? "What's wrong with seeing your tail, Ciara?" Blazaria didn't understand the significance; to her it's only a part of you; what's wrong with you? "Wait," she said, eyeing a last berry fragment, "Ciara, do you want this piece? I think it's an Oran berry..." She stood up and shook around her legs, stretching. Sitting down was so... still.

Saito smiled, she was happy that Ciara had responded, and even somewhat humourously. Saito knew that technically they wouldn't have properly been able speak the language at first, and assumed some sort of latent memory was implanted so that the language would come naturally.

"Yes we do. In school I was taught that humans long ago named Pokémon based on how they addressed the humans, you seem to have a tendency of using you species name as your language tool." Saito replied, leaving the check with the bill on the table, and offering to lead the group to the training gym, in the basement of the PokéCenter. "Come on everyone, I'd like you to meet my team, and some of my closest freinds. Ciara you can just bring the berry with you, they won't mind."
