Open My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic

Still not sure what to think of the little silver dragon, Ember blinked and followed it inside the bakery, stopping next to Chrome and also looking up at Pinkie Pie. Not wanting to impose on the poor bakery employees that seemed to already have their hands full, Ember turned to Chrome instead of asking for her own muffin. "Can I have one of those?" Because she totally felt okay about asking for one of his instead of asking the ponies with the jobs.

"Yeah, sure" Chrome said, dropping two bits on the counter. He offered a cupcake to Ember then popped one in his mouth. As soon as he did so, he realized that he'd made a terrible mistake- the cupcakes were awful! He gave a polite smile at Pinkie Pie and ran over to the garbage to spit the cupcake back out. He wasn't too surprised to find out that someone else had been there already.

The little silver dragon looked around to each side, watching the others being given muffins, but not being given one herself. Somewhat jealously, she again tried to make her desire for muffins known, chirping again as she reared up, and pawing at the tray that Pinkie was holding, trying to tilt it enough to snatch a cupcake or two with her jaws.

Chrome looked down at the cupcake in his hand and down at the little silver dragon. He tossed it over to the dragon and walked over to the water trough to attempt to wash down the aftertaste.

Ember chomped appreciatively into her muffin, eyes sparkling as the strange combination of cinnamon and raspberry mingled on her tongue. "Aaa, thith ith tho good!" she swooned, not bothering to swallow her mouthful of muffin. She didn't hesitate to put all the rest of the muffin into her mouth at once, keeping her paws over her lips as she chewed vigorously. "Chrome?" she asked after swallowing her food with an audible gulp. "Finish your muffin already?"

"Uh, yeah" Chrome said, giving the trash can a sideways look. "Lets get out of here. We need to go to Twilight's house and get this book looked at. It's frankly freaking me out." Chrome walked out of the store, careful to give Pinkie Pie a wide berth.

"Let's see... we add a little of this... and a little of that... oh yeah, I like that too... no... no..."

A pinkish unicorn pony was trotting along, a pencil and notebook floating right in front of her. She seemed to almost have her nose pressed to it, too distracted to notice where she was going as she mumbled odd things to herself. The pencil scribbled furiously the more she muttered, and one particularly frantic scribble had taken up so much of her attention that she didn't even see that she was heading into a fruit stand seemingly unponied.

CRASH! She collided with it rather embarrassingly and her pencil clattered to the ground, rolling in the direction of a bakery... she let out a groan. With a sense of dread at the prospect of other ponies attempting to socialize with her, she set off in the direction of the pencil.

"Oh, sure then." Dinru handed the kind pink pony her money (using the prices of the other muffins to guestimate) and began to eat guilt-free at the muffin. She glanced around at the other characters who had been appearing, especially a silver dragon who was making a bit of a scene trying to steal muffins. "Hey, little silver dragon, I'll give you a muffin!" She wanted to return the kindness of the bakery... waitress.

Pinkie Pie yanked back the tray, so that the little dragon wouldn't knock it over. "Oh no, little one. You can't have all of these. Look, they offered you some!" She chirped through the tray in her mouth, smiling.

Lili noticed a pencil rolling outside of the bakery, and raised an eyebrow. Then, focusing back on the silver baby dragon, she sighed. Where was Fluttershy in all this? Wouldn't she know what to do with a hungry baby dragon?

The silver dragon whined a little bit as the cupcakes were taken away, out of her reach. She sat back down and gave a soft whimper, then looked around a little bit, noticing one partially-eaten cupcake laying on the ground near her. Star lowered her head to the ground and lifted the cupcake up with her snout, slurping the little pastry up in one bite and swallowing it, not even seeming to need to chew it, despite being smaller than the ponies around. But once she tasted the sweet treat, her desire only seemed to grow. She jumped up and chirped at the ponies who seemed to be running the bakery, her large red eyes open wide and excited.

Tired from the day before, Snowflake woke up far too late for her tastes. At this rate, she's be late for-

She didn't have school.
It was summer vacation! The pegasus cheered with joy and hopped out of bed. Time to greet the day and have some fun and not have to go to school anymore!

She quickly got her purse and left the house. Trotting around happily, she wondered if she resembled Pinkie Pie at the moment. It didn't matter. A scent of cupcakes beconed her to the bakery, and she decided that would be where she had breakfast.

She headed in that direction, noticing that a pencil was rolling right toward her. She wondered where it came from, but then noticed that a light pink unicorn was heading toward it. She picked it up herself and walked toward the apparently artistic pony. "Here you go! If it's yours, I mean. You kind of seem to be looking for it, unless I was mistaken, but... here's your pencil," she murmured shyly.

She then noticed the sketchbook she had with her, filled with very beautiful drawings. "Those are just really good, you know? The drawings, I mean. I-I'm not lying, you know. Uh, they're just... really pretty. I wish I could draw like that..." shutting herself up to keep from rambling more, Snowflake Starlight's cheeks turned a shade of bluish magenta while the pegasus tried not to make such a fool of herself.

...Oh. Well, so much for avoiding it... she supposed it was inevitable. She nodded her head silently and thanked the rather strikingly azure-coloured pegasus, making the pencil float back to her with her magic. Then she saw that the other pony was admiring her drawings, whilst... blushing? For some reason, the blushing made the other much less intimidating... she wasn't sure why, but it made her feel more comfortable. Perhaps due to the fact that she too was blushing rather red at her compliments.

"Th... thank you... but I'm sure you can... do a lot of things that I can't. I wish I could... fly," she said quietly, noting her wings.

"You're welcome, of course. Your work is just, like, really good... and um... Flying is fun, but... sometimes I wish I could use magic too... but, uh... I can see your position."

Now this was getting awkward. Her cheeks steadily turning from purple to red, she fidgeted a little and smiled a bit weirdly at the unicorn. "Oh! I, uh, really don't know your name, do I? Did we meet before? ...I'm Snowflake Starlight, so... hi?"

Looking around a bit, she remembered again the smell of delicious cupcakes and the fact that she was hungry. However, she was talking with the unicorn... maybe she would like some food too? "Hey, uh, if this is kind of abrupt and annoying, I apologize, but I'm kind of hungry, and... would you want to go to the bakery and maybe get a cupcake with me?"

Her voice raising in pitch at the last sentence, she tried to supplement her terrible social skills with a smile.

...It's not that awkward that way, right?

Both Lili and Pinkie Pie blinked in surprise, seeing the little silver dragon chew without swallowing. Pinkie bit off a smaller portion of another cupcake and dropped it on the ground in front of the hatchlings, hoping that it wouldn't choke on a smaller piece.

"Dragon! Draaagon! I have a muffin for you!" She yelped over the poor little things' chirps, trying to extend some generosity.

(you mean swallow without chewing, Lili?) The silver dragon turned her head to look at Dinru as soon as she heard her yelling. Rather than being intimidated by the loud noise, she seemed curious of it. Starlight licked up the little piece of muffin that was dropped on the ground, then took a few steps toward the dark-colored pony, sitting up on the ground before her and making a curious-sounding chirr.

She pulled her ears back, also flashing her back an awkward and blushing smile. "Magic's... nice, I suppose... but um... I don't think we have met... I'm Arylett. Hello."

Now Arylett observed the bakery in the corner of her eye, feeling a bit surprised that somebody had actually ASKED her to go somewhere with them... this was very new indeed. The awkwardness was rising to a fever pitch... literally as the pegasus' voice had gone up several octaves. It made her feel uncomfortable again... but perhaps it was better this way. At least she wasn't the sole source of awkward.

Eh... hmm. Well, it would be rude to refuse... and perhaps she was a bit hungry... she had gotten so distracted in her drawing that she forgot to eat. "Um... okay. Not like I have much to do..." In contrast to Snowflake, it seemed her voice was getting even lower in pitch... and almost monotone.

She nodded and grinned back, walking into the bakery and holding open the door for Arylett. Once she was in the building, the delicious scent of baked goods overwhelmed her, and she sighed. "It's so nice, isn't it?" she commented to her new friend. "It is a bit crowded, though."

Indeed it was. With the crowd, she was afraid the line was going to be long. Except, there kind of wasn't a line. There were all around Pinkie Pie and some other ponies who might've also worked in the bakery. "I guess maybe Pinkie Pie works here, maybe? Hey Arylett, what are you going to order?"

She studied the menu carefully, trying to decide what to get. Maybe a chocolate cupcake? "I think I'll get a chocolate cupcake," she said. "I'm going to go order."

Walking over to Pinkie Pie, she meekly poked her and asked,"Hey, uh, you're kind of busy, but can I get a chocolate cupcake?"

"Oh dear! Oh dear oh dear oh dear!" A dark blue unicorn shouted, jumping out of her bed and running towards her closet. The alarm hadn't gone off, and she had to head over to that trial in two hours! That would never be enough time! The unocorn frantically looked through her clothing options, finding her favorite suit top and quickly slipping it on, fixing the cuffs and her tie. She glanced at her clock for a second, and then sped out of her small wooden house on the largest hill on Ponyville.

"I think I should head off towards the store, or the cafe, or maybe that new breakfast resta-" Moon Bright stopped quickly in her tracks. She took a big whiff of the air. Something smelled delicious! She looked around Ponyville and quickly spotted a beautifully-decorated bakery. That's where the smell came from! "I could... have something from there. Smells amazing, so why not? But... I wonder if I'll be brave enough to actually ask for something. Darn my shyness!" She hesitated a bit before walking towards the bakery. There were many colourful ponies inside. They all looked friendly.

"Well, time to go." Moon Bright walked into the bakery, looking around and saw a few familiar ponies. She smiled.
