• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

  • Hey, your character (the one in your profile) is so pretty! Also, the only Final Fantasy game I've played is FF4 (DS), but I totally agree with what you said on your blog about modern games placing too much focus on graphics to the detriment of everything else. I think you'd enjoy the Bravely Default franchise, which takes a lot of inspiration from the older FF games.

Thanks! I'm glad you like her. I'm also surprised someone actually read my tiny blog entry and agrees with me! Thank you for reading it as well.

We did already attempt Bravely Default a few years ago and well... it wasn't something I enjoyed, sadly. The gameplay was all right, but the story went off the rails and became absurdly repetitive.

My friend had the same complaint about the story - it goes downhill in the second half, but from the small amount of the game I played the characters and gameplay made up for it. However, it's completely understandable if you were put off by that. Making sure that both the story and the gameplay is good seems difficult to achieve from a developer's point of view (not a developer, just speaking from imagination :P )

Well, honestly, the way the story goes downhill is so blatantly terrible that I'm not sure how it was even allowed to be released in such a state.

All I can say without spoiling too much is that it is literally repeating the same events five or so times. And the gameplay suffers from that repetition as well. You go through the same exact places and do the same exact things so many times. Padding to the worst degree I have ever seen. By the end of it, I was utterly exhausted and ready to move on.

You started with chikorita on your games as a kid, and that makes me want to be friends with you =)

You don't even need to ask why. Its probably better you don't xD
So, erm, I never really properly thanked you for the reputation you gave me a while back. I didn't really know that I was supposed to... but now that I do know: thanks! It means a lot that you'd give me a reputation!
Getting an actual DS copy of it would be preferable, but I'm probably going to have to emulate it if I ever want to play it, haha.
Is your icon a character from Solatorobo? That's a game I'd like to get my hands on, but it's pretty rare to find the game in English now.
Hey, happy birthday! I hope everything going on in your life will smooth out soon.
Happy birthday! \o/ I know you said you're taking a break from ASB, but I was wondering if you'd like a present there anyway?
I'm sorry you're going :( I was enjoying our battle! I will leave it and wait for you to return! I hope things get better for you!!
Hey, Arylett. I was poking around the ASB database, and I saw you took my battle with Dazel. I've looked around and I can't find the thread for it. Might you point me in the right direction?
Huh, well, that's kind of nice, I think. The whole concept of proposal is... somewhat strange, to me. There's a lot of pressure there— like, you don't really say no. It's considered super shitty.
