Once upon a time, there was a teenage girl named Arylett. One who sought community and friendship and fun.
Unfortunately, she was bullied most of her life growing up. Even online, she couldn't escape.
She found this place and made many friendships and she cherishes those memories. For as an adult, they stayed with her even as they faded away and shaped who she was. The pain shaped her too and she got plenty of scars to prove it. Even as she married her soul mate and healed from the love she so sorely, she still remembers on occasion.

And take this from me: We're not perfect - we hurt each other. But striving for kindness, understanding, and empathy are so important and ultimately, they are what makes someone worthy of respect. They are what change lives and allow us all some solace. I'll never change my mind on that. I'll make sure I pass this to the next generation, even as the world is full of cruelty.
