((Can't remember who I first heard say that... I think it was Flora and Ashes))
Anyway, guys, I probably won't be able to get on as much because I've learned just how busy I'll be.
Exhibit 1: Marching band
So, I knew that we had a parade for the local Beef and Bean Day, and I knew that we were going to be in a competition for the state fair down in Pueblo, but recently our band director gave us a basic schedule of the things planned for our marching band.
Holy shit dude we have so many parades and stuff man.
I didn't really pay attention to most of them, but apparently we are staying overnight in Grand Junction for state. My brain exploded when my mom pointed that out to me. I wasn't expecting that, but hey, I've known some of these people since elementary school. This will be awesome fun.
Exhibit 2: GEEK
In case you're wondering, GEEK stands for the Gaming Enthusiasts and Experts Klub (probably made it a K just to be funny). It's basically a club made up of people who like to play board games (and also stuff like D&D). They've even made up their own game involving ships that they made out of popsicle sticks; one of my senior friends called it "Battleship on steroids." All us freshman who joined were given a huge packet (like 20 pages or something) on the rules.
We apparently have club activities though. Most people were talking about staying in the school for the weekend and having a game orgy (not really an orgy, I'm the only girl). We were also talking about having a skit for homecoming, and one kid was discussing the WKUK (which he said stood for "whitest kids you know," a funny and sometimes inappropriate group from New York). We also plan on making a huge version of the ship game that takes up the whole cafeteria, and having a donation box that, when full, lets us have a pizza party. Meetings are every Wednesday night until around 5:00.
Exhibit 3: Science Club
The first meeting isn't actually until tomorrow, but I got the teacher who runs it (he also runs GEEK) to tell me a bit about it.
Apparently we will be doing:
1. An aquatic reef study
2. Some entymology, actually gathering specimens of insects and mounting them like in museums (I instantly told him about my intense fear of bees and wasps, which were also in the case with dragonflies and beetles and stuff).
3. Food science. Apparently we will get to make bacon and cook our bacon and eat each other's bacon.
4. A cage boil, with crayfish and stuff. My mom told me their spicy, though, so I'm not sure if I'll eat much their (I don't like anything spicy).
5. A spaghetti dinner at the teacher's house, followed by a night of playing video games. I was kind of disappointed though when I asked him what kind of games and he said, "Usually Halo."
I'm pretty sure he told me about other stuff that I forgot.
And finally, I have bought TLoZ: Twilight Princess. I just finished my first runthrough and it was awesome and I am probably going to kill my poor Wii before I calm down about it.
I managed to get some pictures from GEEK, by the way. If I someday figure out how the hell to get pictures from my phone to the Internet and upload them and stuff, I will probably post them somewhere.
