In the time long before recorded history in the land of Arcias, there comes a legend about the Furres, a race of people with animal-like attributes. This legend states that at first, there were only humans, roaming alone on the planet, hunting and killing animals as they pleased. The gods saw this and became angry, punishing the humans with sin and disease, and also creating a new race of people. One with very animal-like features, to live alongside the humans and act as the balance between them and the wildlife.
In this world, there is abundant nature and wildlife. The Furres are not treated as freaks like they would in our world. Instead they have become an important asset to society. They are teachers, doctors, scholars, builders and other such things, working alongside the humans. In this world, the keeping of animals as pets is punishable by law, although humans who have been taught the language of the animals have been known to have animal companions.
For years, the Furres and humans have lived peacefully. There have, of course, been wars, but they have never been specifically on account of race. Sure, there are racists, proclaiming that the Furres were created to serve the humans, or that they were an abomination not of God. It goes the other way too, but both types are few and far between.
However, word has spread of a virus afflicting both human and Furre. For the former, it slowly drives the person mad as they die, then takes over their body entirely and rots it away, while for the latter it also painfully reverts them into the form of an animal. News is going around of groups of these creatures destroying villages and seeking more people to infect. There is no known cure for this sudden zombie outbreak, the only one seeming to be going to the gods themselves.
You are either a Furre or a human, seeking to find the cure to this mysterious disease. The journey will be long and perilous. Are you up to the task?
Rules:
-Mary-Sueism will be brutally, bloodily murdered on-sight.
-No chatspeak, use correct grammar.
-If it's not at least one line of text on a 1024x768 monitor, it's too small.
-USE THE DAMN ENTER KEY. No one likes a wall of text. Especially not on a form. Makes them hard to read.
-ABSOLUTELY no godmodding.
-If you get attacked, remember that you can't dodge everything.
-To be a Furre, you may be some sort of mythological creature as long as it's within reason. For example, a kitsune or nekomata would be allowed, but not with magical powers. Multiple-headed creatures won't be allowed.
-Half-breeded Furres are allowed. For example, a cross between a cat and a bird Furre, or something.
-FMC is the co-runner of this RP. Which means she has as much power to accept or reject a form, or control events as I do.
-If you've read these rules, fit "antidisestablishmentarianism" in your form somewhere.

I'll put in my form later. c:
