Hm, perhaps it's just that whenever I wanted Dustox I'd catch a Wurmple and evolve it so that at least it'd have one attacking move, but I guess it doesn't matter here.

Yeah, but it's not like blindly Tackling would get me far. Usually I just put the Cascoon at the front of my party and switched out.
