Ariel started to move forward as her teamates took to the air, first at a walk and working up to a run. As she ran, her cloak of darkness began to swirl around her again, ribbons of blackness dancing around her legs as she picked up speed. She kicked off the ground into a flying leap, vanishing mid-air.

Invisible to the other pokemon, she landed and glanced over her shoulder. Had Serena seen how well she'd pulled off her vanishing act? It didn't matter either way, she told herself a moment later with a flick of her tail. What mattered was tracking down that houndoom and tearing him apart. She took off running again, paying no attention to her flying allies.

Here little plaything...Time for a game of cat and mouse...

"*sigh* Where did Team Light go?" Enigma said hopelessly. "This isn't going good..." He looked around and saw Shadow hidden in the shadows as usual, and it looked like he had just firied a punishment beam. "I'll go look for Xhan. Maybe HE'LL know. Of course, I'll probably have to use force..." Enigma sniggered, as he went off to find the Lucario.

Serena watched Ariel and Kruger leave, stunned by Ariel's sudden disappearance. However, she was also impressed. "Now maybe we should organize some kind of small strategy to use when we get to Team Light's place." She looked at Farran, then her leader, and back at Farran. "What do you think?'

Xhan looked around again, hoping to find a straggler of Team Misery, or even better, Team Light. That, or a wanderer looking for him or Enigma. Either one. He took another look around, spying something out of the corner of his eye. "Enigma. Of course." He whispered to himself. He acted like he hadn't seen Enigma, so that he could surprise Enigma. He turned around quickly, and used a Force Palm. He didn't hit anything. When he looked again, he saw that he had been facing the sun. The combination of shadows and bright light in his eyes made him think that he had seen Enigma. He became frustrated at himself, and he stormed off in a different direction.

"Heh, heh, that stupid Lucario." Enigma said, hiding in a tree. He quickly climbed down and, like Xhan, began looking for a member of Team Misery or Team Light. "I haven't killed anyone in a while..."

Lachlan put little thought into his reponse to Serena's question, "Why, I'm gonna whip up a sandstorm, and charge!", which made perfect sense to him. His species' type combination was tricky to exploit, and that was just about how he had always fought. A very tough Pokemon on both offence and defence should be in the fray.

Farran has already taken off when Serena attempts to speak with him. He does manage to hear the Vaporeon's question, however, and lowers himself to a hover just above and in front of her to speak to her. "Well, I do have a plan, and I can discuss it with you if you would like me to, but I can honestly say that if you can remember this, it should work: Trust me... no matter what happens, I won't let you down... can you do that?" Farran turns to start to fly back, but he flies slowly enough for Serena to stop him if she wished to.

"No problem." He told Thorn, then he started to run towards the underground passage again.
"We must must hurry, or Shadow and his minions will reach us!" He growled, pretty low, so that Shadow's minions could'nt hear him, but high enough for his team to hear.

Oh, confound it all, said Thorn suddenly. My magnetic waves are bouncing off something within my field, and it's driving me nuts to keep my balance. Seems bigger than a rock or a twig.

He turned his head in the direction he thought Team Misery where. Then he started running again.

Coraline was silent, listening.
"I think I hear something. They're close, I think."
She shivered and kept running, preparing to use a Confuse Ray, if needed.

Ordalla glared at Thorn's cursing, and looked around the area, and landed. She readied a Supersonic just in case.

Xhan stopped. The bushes to his right were rustling. He stood still, prepared for a member of Team light, Team misery, or Enigma to come out. Then... A little Rattata jumped out. It walked slowly, hoping that Xhan would leave his be. Such false hopes. Xhan thought. He moved his foot fast enough to catch the Rattata's tail. The little bugger began trying to run away, but he couldn't. Xhan gave it an evil smile, and moved his other leg over to the Rattata's head. He stomped as hard as he could, and crushed the Rattata's skull. It was enjoyable. But, he had to move on. He left the body where it was, and continued his search for Team light, or Team Misery. Or Enigma. He'd like to kick Enigma again.

Coraline stopped suddenly. It was soft and distant, but she could hear it. A soft crunch, then nothing. She shrugged and kept running. After a few minutes, several Rattata ran past and disappeared into the bushes. The Umbreon looked around nervously, the yellow rings on her fur glowing.
That's a bad sign. We need to hurry!
Coraline ran faster. They were close to the base. Hopefully they would not be followed, but she knew they must be. She'd heard something, and small Pokemon running away.

Ordalla watched as the Rattata ran by with worry, and when Coraline started to run off, the Aerodactyl knew trouble was going to happen.
She stayed a few seconds long before rising into the air and flying as fast as she could, but still behind the group to keep watch.

Dang it. Whenever we need to move fast, I'm stuck at the very end. How come I can't learn Agility or something? Thorn muttered telepathically, before charging again at a walking pace.

"Need help?" She called down.
