Open Power Plant

AS Mark rounded a corner he came across Hax and Striker fighting against an electrode, the electrode had a barrier between him and them. Mark, luckily had come down the hallway behind the electrode and he hadn't noticed him yet, or so it appeared. Mark slid across the ground and stopped about five metres away from the pokemon. He focused on the electrode and attempted to use disable to stop the barrier.

"WELL JUST NODDING OFF ONE TIME MIGHT LET YOU NOD OFF NOW. PERMANENTLY!" cawed Zapdos. "IF I DIDN'T HAVE FAITH IN YOU I WOULD SAY YOU WERE HELP THE REBELS. BU YOU ARE MAKING SAID FAITH DWINDLE!."

"OUT OF MY SIGHT!" Cried Zapdos. "NOOOOW!!" he cried in an irritating and defeaning tone, using a Metal Sound .

((@Brocks above post: Grammar epic fail.))

Barry ran and ran until he got to his den, camped out close enough to the Royal Guard that they wouldn't think it suspicious, but close enough to dash to the rebels if needed. Zapdos said he had trust in him; that meant he was doing a good job. Barry finally drifted off into sleep...

Taking stock of the situation, John quickly decided that it would be a nice time to flee. However, when he turned around he found himself staring face to face with a third royal guard. There was only one thing left to really do. He began charging energy, and funneled it all into a massive explosion.

Striker was thrown, like a Poké Ball, up into the air. After what seemed to him like ages, he landed upon the ground with a sharp crunch. Not the kind of crunch he had hoped for...

Striker lay there, motionless. He could see his comrades arguing about something in the distance, but he could not hear them, for his hearing had been replaced by a high-pitched screeching sound. The imprint of a bright white light had been burned into his retinas. Each breath he took left a sharp pain in his chest.

The last thing he saw before drifting out of consciousness was a familiar figure approaching him...

Hax slammed into the wall and fell to the ground. "Bzzz...zz.bz...err...syste.....abled...stress be..on act....ted...distr..s...con sen.....ain....comput..."

As the explosion was set off Mark felt his body began to spread out wards and it took all his energy to keep himself together. His body hit the wall with a thud and he slid slowly down. As he lost consciousness he was glad that the Explosion had affected the Electrode too.

Barry awoke with a start as an explosion shook the Plant. He ran over to where several Pokémon were on the ground, and an Electrode was blackened, like he'd just exploded. "...I don't really need to ask, but WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED?

"...ble....atta.............plosio........." Was all that the almost lifeless duck could say, he was just about to faint. "Syste.......stand-b......ode..." Hax's eyes closed, and his head dropped to the ground.

Barry looked over at John. He was the main powerhouse of the team, a very good asset. On his was over to Hax, he whispered "I'm not gonna blow my cover; I'm taking the Royal Guard's side here, just to prove again to Zapdos that I'm 'loyal'". He then ran over to Hax and scooped him up onto his back. "I'm gonna get you to Zapdos." he said, dashing through the Plant at a slower pace than normal, getting Hax to safety. He eventually reached Zapdos. "Sir, the Resistance are attacking; look what they did to Hax!" he said. "Jo- the Electrode exploded, leaving both Hax and Mark fainted, but I could only bring Hax." he let Hax slowly slide off of his back. "Follow me to the battle scene; Jo- the Electrode didn't look like he was going anywhere." I'm sorry, John... he thought as he took off running.

"WHAT." screamed Zapdos. "THIS... IS... ALL...YOUR... FAULT!" shouted Zapdos, as if he wanted Arceus to hear. He flapped towards the scene. Had he not been angry, he would have noticed Barry's obvious stuttering. "Striker..." he cawed, expectind one of his most loyal guards. But he saw him lying far away in a heap. "WHAT DID THEY DO?"

Inside Zapdos' room, Hax's eyes began to faintly glow blue. "Revi....tems.......tivated." Hax's arms reconnected to his body, his head followed suit. He slowly rose. "Run....sts.....voca......tem......amaged......requ.....assista...all oth....stems....line"
Hax began to hover again, if a bit wobbly, and headed back to the scene of battle.

Striker woke up on something cold and soft. As his eyes adjusted, he could see the whitewashed walls surrounding him. Where was he? Striker slowly tried to get up, but cried out in pain. He looked down at his leg, which was wrapped in a kind of tough bandage. That's when he realized where he was. This was the Pokémon center south of the power plant.

Many years ago, this Pokémon center had been a rendezvous point for all travelers passing from Cerulean City to the Rock Tunnel. While fairly remote, it had always received hikers and trainers needing to heal their Pokémon after battles and annoying Zubat encounters. Since the mighty Zapdos settled at the power plant, trainers were too afraid to come near it. Eventually, the center had become completely abandoned. Some of the equipment had been left behind, and it was sometimes used in emergency situations. Striker had only been here once before. It was on a day that he wished he could forget...

That's when the Manectric remembered the battle, and what put him in a condition like this in the first place. So, it was true... The Resistance had begun to rebel. Fear, infused with anger, had swelled up deep within his throat, and he grit his teeth in hatred for the Resistance. "When I find that Electrode, the one that nearly put an end to me, and to Hax, I will make him suffer," he thought to himself. No doubt Lord Zapdos had already taken him in for questioning. Zapdos... had he brought Striker to this place to heal? Where was his rescuer? Was it perhaps the lonely Chansey that stayed at the center after it had been closed? If so, where was she? How long had Striker been unconscious? With these questions engulfing his thoughts, he decided the best course of action would be to find his way back home. He took a few steps, and winced at the pain in his leg. He was definitely feeling better, thanks to the Pokémon center and its healing power, but his right hind leg was certainly broken. After a few minutes of struggle, he pulled himself outside to the river, and stared into its hypnotizing opal waters...

"...trode....ttack.....explo.....sever......vocal syst....amag.." Was all Hax got out before his leg errupted with sparks. "I sh...ll.....loca......to.....Poké....entre....eco..er" Hax nodded, turned, and headed slowly to the exit, his left side lower in the air than his right.

Mark opened his eyes and looked around, he was still on the ground where the Electrode had exploded, he stretched his limbs and found he was alright except for being burned in a few places, "One of the advantages of being a Muk i guess". He felt his body go slightly lighter as he realised that neither Striker nor Hax were still here. "Atleast they got out okay".

"Mark." Zapdos called as the Muk awoke. "What happened. Striker is gone and Hax's vocal chip got corrupted."

Hax almost made it to the Pokémon Centre uneventfully. Unfortunatly, one Hiker was just coming out of the Pokémon Centre as Hax arrived.
"Woah, a Porygon!" Hax noticed that the man's accent was different to most people in this region that he'd met. Which was about seven, so whatever.
"I wonder if Professor Elm can get it to evolve with that Upgrade thingo...Onix, let's go!"
The man sent out a giant rock snake.
"Use Bind!"
The snake lurched forward, but was hit by a stunning blue beam.
"Woah....it knows Ice Beam...Machoke, use Seismic Toss!"
The rock snake and the wrestler Pokémon came towards Hax.
"...baliz...eapo....ower le...ls....calibrati.."
Hax fired another brilliant icy-blue beam, defeating the Onix. Hax turned to the Machoke. "R...m mo...." Hax lowered its head, and launched it forward like a torpedo. It slammed into the Machoke, knocking it out, and Hax passed the Hiker and into the Pokémon Centre. Hopefully, the Hiker wouldn't notice Striker, who was sitting by the river bank. Or maybe the Hiker placed Striker inside the Pokémon Centre.
Hax ignored it and went on in.

As Zapdos flew down Mark shook off last of the drowsiness and replied to the question. "I apologise, Zapdos. But I only showed up shortly before the explosion so to the best of my understanding he attacked Hax and Striker as they were passing through. However i am in the dark of how he got into the facility".

((Um, you're not in "the facility" anymore. The whole reason I got to attack Hax is that he walked right into the generator room where I had been staying. You're in the power plant at large.))
