• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open Revolt

"But he won't hurt you!" Mila protested. "Not unless I tell him to! He just likes you!" She gestured for Grime to come back to her side anyway, amusement in her eyes.

Mark was bursting with laughter. The man shot a glare at the girl and muttered something under his breath.

"Now I suppose you're wondering why you all were called here," he said calmly. "Well, as you all know, people across the world are being killed by freak accidents, and you know that one of the killers was captured. But there are many more." He paused. Mark was still trying to hold in a laugh. "You talented trainers have been brought together to hunt down the remaining killers. But there is something that you should know about the killers." The man paused again. "They are actually Pokemon, with the ability to transform into humans."

((Reactions...?))

"Well, I think he means that some people just are DIFFERENT and have the ability, and they go power hungry." Xigbar answered. He tossed Xhan's pokeball back and forth between his hands. He had heard this from his parents, although he had never acknowledged it. So he was somewhat surprised, but he didn't show it.

((Hey, I'm gonna be gone for a couple of weeks since my family and I are going to Texas. I should have Internet access once I get there, though. Just saying... :]))

Sasha didn't know how to react to this news. Pokemon who could turn into humans killed them? She scoffed, and just didn't want to believe that she had been obsessed over the killings because Pokemon who could morph were the murderers. Lust, on the other hand, pecked at Sasha's arm ferociously because she had not liked Sasha's reaction. "Ow! Lust..." Sasha said, still gazing at the man who had spoken.

Tala stared at the man on stage, an eyebrow raised. "We're supposed to believe this? Pokemon who can turn into humans, and are out on a killing spree?" She patted Flare absently, chewing her lip. "And we're all talented trainers? If you haven't noticed, I'm not a Pokemon trainer." The sarcasm in her voice disappeared, and she looked at him flatly. "How do we know we can trust you, anyway?" The Houndoom beside her growled, baring his fangs at everyone threateningly as he drew even closer to her, fur bristling.

Xigbar let Xhan out to stretch. Xhan didn't like his pokeball, but he would go into it when Xigbar wanted him to. "Well, of course we're suppososed to believe this, otherwise, why would he bring us here? Now, cut to the chase. I just want to know where I'm going and what I'm doing."
I'm with him. Xhan gestured to Xigbar. This is already getting boring.
"You're not supposed to say that!" Xigbar whispered to Xhan. "SHH!!!"
SHH!!!
"SHHH!!!"
SHHH!!!
"SHHH!!!" The two continued SHHH!!!ing eachother.

Gilbert was incredulous. He then smiled a little, because a girl wearing rathered tattered clothing stood up and said everything he would've needed to say, if only with different intent. He addressed the man on stage, "I agree with the young lady, it's all rather silly to expect us to trust you, when you sent the letters in such a clandestine way, when not everyone here, such as myself, is a trainer, and when you expect us to believe something like that?"

"Pokémon who can turn into humans? You kiddin' with me?" Oliny said. She and Kines had already teleported to a dark corner so that the others wouldn't notice her, but now she revealed herself. "And I'm not a really skilled trainer anyways. I've just started my journey!" She paused. "And how can we trust you??" "He is not lying." Kines telepathicly told everyone in the room, waiting for their attention to turn to him.

Mark looked at the scene. Most of the other trainers had stood up, protesting, and asking the man why they should trust him. Mark began to wonder why he was trusting the man himself. The man raised his hands to attempt to cease the noise.

"I had a feeling that you all would say that, so I came prepared," the man said. He reached into his jacket and took out a plain video tape. He exited the stage and returned, wheeling in a small television. "What you are about to see has only been seen by the interrogators of the killer, only hours before he was executed." The man popped the tape in the television, and turned it on.

The footage was black and white, and taken in a standard interrogation room. There was a mirror on one wall, a door on another, and the rest were bare. A bare table was in full view, and there were three men sitting around it. The only thing that could be seen from each of them was the upper parts of their bodies. Two of the men looked almost identical, with jackets, ties, an sunglasses on. The other man was in a one-piece suit, most likely a prison uniform, and had blonde hair. The video was completely silent for a few minutes, but you could see their mouths moving, so it was obvious that they were talking. Then, the apparant prisoner abruptly stood up.

His hands began to close up and become black, and his arms began to grow brown hair. His face began to change, and yellow stalks began bursting out of his head. Within moments, he had transformed into a Stantler. The man turned off the tape.

"Does that convince you?" he asked.

Tala frowned as the Houndoom beside her snarled at the television. "Alright, maybe I believe you but - Flare, calm down - this could all be a trap. And I shouldn't even be here, especially if it's about the killings." She crossed her arms, glowered at Flare until he had calmed down, and stood up, as if to leave. "If you know my address, then you know that I'm not a trainer. Do I have your permission to leave? I won't be of any use to you, obviously."

Xigbar stared at the blank screen. "Well, there's no denying that what happened there was 100% real. No one can create a digital replica that perfect. Now just tell me what I'm supposed to do, and where I'm going, before I choose myself."

Oliny stared at the film, then to the other trainers in the room, then to Kines. "How do they do that? I mean, turning into pokémon!" She whispered to her trusted partner. "I don't know. I'm not that smart." He teletold Oliny. "So what do you mean we can do?" Oliny said out loud to the man who showed them the video.

The man turned to the girl who spoke up about not being a trainer. "Ah," he said, "but Tala, were you not born to two powerful trainers? You have enormous potential in you, and even if you don't want to battle, I'm sure you can help the group in some way." He turned to everyone else gathered. "As for what all of you are here for, well, all of you have been chosen by the government to hunt down these killers for us. It is not a request, it is a demand. You will all be getting paid a large sum of money for every killer that you track down and destroy for us. You cannot walk out on this operation, for you all know too much to leave here."

"Wow that's amazing! I with I could turn into a pokemon like that guy did!" Said Justin

Gilbert said after the footage, "You have convinced me with that.", although it was a tiny bit incredulous, he continued, "Very well, good sir, I shall partake in this hunt. I am but a coordinator, not trainer, my battling skills are nto up to par, but justice is justice, I believe." Can't beat money, either., he thought.

"Then I'll run out of here!" said Poompa, who got up, seemingly delighted at his solution. He reached out a tail-hand to Mila.
