• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

I don't post much anymore but I'm not out as trans on most places I frequent, so I'll just post a quick thing because I've found a great therapist here in Brussels who works with a whole team of people and will be working with me to get me on T soon (he mentioned 'skipping steps' since I suppose I made a strong impression). Once I have the official diagnosis saying I'm trans, I can get my name and title changed on my Portuguese documents. The team at the hospital I'm getting treated in has therapists, endocrinologists, surgeons and even speech therapists to help me not get the awful mickey mouse squeaky voice some guys get, as well as getting a lower register in general and so on, which is great.

I've also found out that there's a surgeon in Belgium who gets good results and is crazy cheap, just around 1200 euro with insurance (£979) for top surgery and a hysto, which I need to get my documents changed in the Netherlands (Portugal is more progressive than the Netherlands in terms of trans issues, I'll let that sink in).

The only problem is that I need to wait until uni's out since I'm in fucking Leicester and the therapist is here in Brussels (sigh) but once I'm back (in mid-June) I'll try to see him as much as possible. So if all goes well, I might maybe start T this year, and have my surgery the next.

Which would be amazing.

I'm also well on the way to losing the extra weight I carry so I can have the best results body shape and surgery-wise so all in all even though university's being complete shit my life's looking pretty good. Add my new D/s relationship and all in all I'm at a decent place in my life. Yay.

Either way sorry to clutter the board and all but yeah

That's fantastic! Glad to hear to how well things are going and that your surgeon seems to be the unheard combination of amazing and a bargain! Also great to hear from you again; TCoD always needs more Vlad! :D
