Open Symbols and Signs

Araneus decided to bide his time a little longer, until more people spotted him. He didn't really feel like talking right now, and he wouldn't unless confronted by the others or there was some sort of imminent threat. That Caleb kid had obviously noticed him, though, and it was getting bright enough to easily see him if one was looking.
The faint scratching noises he heard earlier was getting louder. He wondered what was making them. Looking around, he saw a sort of shutter built into the roof above the door. It was just big enough for him to be easily crawl through. Using the rafters, he stepped over towards the opening, then hesitated. What would he find outside the barn?

((Moon-Panther, that last question was partially aimed at you. What will Araneus find outside?))

Outside the door is a hallway. Down the hall a bit you see stairs that lead down to a more open area with a desk and entrance to a dining room. There is a set of doors that act as a way into the building they are in. There is someone behind the desk on the bottom floor, holding a large quill and writing in the book. From where you are, you can't tell much about the person other than they look to have long grey hair with two smooth parts hanging over their shoulders.

But that wasn't the cause of the scratching. Down the hall is a figure walking out of another door down the hall, one of many, holding a tray on one hip. The figure stops for a moment in the hall, glancing around a bit as if they could sense something watch. They then shrug and start for the door that leads to the very room you all reside in. The door opens and a head pops in.

"...What the hell- Where did you lot come from?" The figure uttered, confusion in their bright grey eyes. They walk into the room fully and place a hand on their hip. "I don't know who you are or how you got here, but you best start telling me why you lot are in my Inn without checking in at the deck."

Now, usually this would be normal to you all for someone wondering why you were in their building, but there is one off thing about the whole thing. This figure, a man you can tell from the voice, is covered in soft blonde fur and has long ears like a rabbit. Their nose twitches as they watch you.

Indigo heard the Russian man as well, but he wasn't that interested in him at the moment. He was much more interested in this Trevor character that walked over. His eyebrow raised as he mentioned a cleaver.

Looks like my thought about killers wasn't completely of the mark... He thought to himself.

"No, I have no idea how I got here, and this boy thinks it is all a dream. I have half a mind to slap him across the face just to prove it isn't." He stated coldly. There was a little more emotion to his words this time. "Now, you say that you lost your cleaver... I lost my shirt as well, but it seems illogical for someone to have taken them."

This is when he heard a voice in the hallway. Completely ignoring the conversation Trevor had started, Indigo turned towards the door. He wanted to see what was there, but he wasn't going in the hallway until he could find a shirt. But then the voice came inside. It was a person... Sort of. It looked much more like a bunny rabbit. Now this was a very interesting event. He disregarded his conversation and walked over to the Rabbit.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't aware we were in a place like this. I woke up here with no idea how I got here. May I ask your name?" He asked in a tone that should be common now.

Ryan's eyes nearly popped out of his head when he saw the bunny-man. For a split second it was a guy in a costume, but... No, costumes don't twitch their noses. "Oh my Jesus, its the Easter Bunny...." He whispered to himself. He resisted from slapping himself awake. There was no way this was real, but why waste a dream like this?... And was he mistaken, or was that bunny a British Bunny? That is-wow... That is epic.

"Exucse me mister easter bunny comrade," Nikolai says finally getting out of the bed," Do you have any vodka, I'm dry out."
He suddenly feels light and starts searching himself, he panics and runs to his sachal he rummages through the bag and pulls out a plastic butter knife.
"What the hell where is my Bowie knife and Sally?" he says and then reaches into his groin and pulls out a loaded clip for his MP40.
"Great they take Sally buy leave my her clip," he says grunting.

Xavia stared at the bunny-man.

"...And I've been drugged too." she sighed, "Wait....everyone sees this manrabbit? ...I'm not crazy then!"

Xavia looked over at Indigo.

"Yeah, what he said." she muttered.

Caleb blinked when he saw the rabbit. Yup. He was definitely dreaming. No question about it.

"An inn? How did we get in an inn?" Caleb asked, and even though he was looking at the rabbit, he said it more to himself.

Trevor walked along the same path Indigo had taken to interrogate the... bunny-man.

Following Indigo's words, he explained, "Yeah. None of us know how we got here, and someone seems to think it's all a dream." His eyes darted toward Caleb. "Speaking for myself, I wouldn't mind getting out of here. Though I do mind that someone, or something, has taken some of our posessions. My cleaver has disappeared, and last time I checked, it didn't have legs." Trevor kind of contradicted himself on that last quote, because seeing the bunny-man, he was sure most of impossible things were now more than possible.

A crowd was beginning to form around this curious character, so Trevor was beginning to feel just a bit uncomfortable.

"So I'll take you have no vodka, ok then when every one is ready I will leave with them," Nikolai said throwing pn his satchel and walking over to the erm bunny-man(or man-bunny),"oh and have u seen Sally my MP40 or my Bowie knife, comrade bunny"
His breath still reaking of vodka and garlic he took anoter swig out of the half empty bottle of vodka.

The rabbit folds his arms and looks at them, mild annoyance on his face. "Names Reves, I'm one of the workers here at the Inn. Since you don't know how you got here, there is no point in asking you again." He then glaces to the russian man, one of his ears twitching behind him. "Vodka? Like...the stuff that hound drinks when he visits? If you are lucky you might be able to catch him before he leaves from the month again. He should be down in the dinning hall."

Reves then slips his hand in his pocket, his other hand still holding a tray at his hip. "If you are missing items, I can't help you there. We are not responsible for lost items here, you are. Though, since you don't know how you got here...hm, that is curious if you think about it. Oh all the nights to find yourselves here, it had to be after that wicked storm we had last night. That old owl did say things were going to get interesting around here...tell me, is there anything odd about you lot? Stranger than waking up in a new place."

It was obvious to Indigo what else that was odd about the people in the room. Well, at least he thought everyone had it.

"It seems that we all have number-shaped marks on some part of our body." He stated. "Now, I'm assuming, based on how you mentioned an owl and hound, that everyone here is an animal of sorts?"

Indigo scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, waiting for a response. His eyes moved over to Trevor and saw that he seemed to have quieted down now that the others in the room were waking up.

A bit shy, is he? That's a little odd coming from a guy with a cleaver... He thought. He couldn't blame him though, since Indigo was one who hid his emotions from everyone. He also found it a little confusing that the one who thought it was a dream was asking how he got into an inn.

Indigo kept these thoughts to himself, but he decided quickly that it might be a good idea to befriend Trevor. His attention returned to Reves after.

"So, Reves, where exactly is this Inn located?" Trevor inquired, trying to obtain the most information as possible while maitaining a peaceful interrogation. "And who runs this Inn?" Trevor completely ignored Reves's previous question, though it had already been explained by Indigo.

The crowd was increasing in size at an alarming rate, so Trevor was questioning his conscience on whether to draw even more attention to himself by asking these inquiries. He needed the information, though, so the Garcia son decided to ask his final question.

"And what is the date of this dawn?" he questioned, hoping no one would give a confused or odd look. He had seen this in movies; some of which time was severly obscured.

This is all great but I must find Sally and vodka," Nikolia says then walks to the door the rabbit person came through.

Reves watches Nikolia passed him, wondering why the name thought he'd find his 'Sally' somewhere in the Inn. "We don't usually allow weapons you know...kinda house rule and stuff." He then shakes his head and looks back at the others, scratching the back of his neck. "Animals...I don't know what you mean but I think I should be offended. Anyways, you said you had number marks on your person? That is truly odd...but I think I know kinda what is going on. Tell this, travellers...are you from this world of Gaia?"

He then smiles a bit at Trevor, his ears twitching a bit behind him. "Its June 16th, 2011. What an odd question that be."

Indigo didn't know how to respond to that statement. He had read several books set in a world called Gaia, and he knew they were often like Earth in more ways than one. At least time was still calculated the same way. Indigo cleared his throat a little and decided to respond as honestly as possible.

"I apologize if I have insulted you..." He stated mechanically. "Where we come from is referred to as 'Earth' by most people who live there." Indigo seemed to lose himself for a second as his mind started to race. He needed as much information as possible before he could find a logical explanation. He really didn't care if he got back home or not, but he did care about why they were in this odd world.

"You said it was June 16th, does that mean you are nearing Summer here?" He asked. The warmer it was until he found a shirt, the better.

Araneus quickly got tired of all the talking and crouching on wooden beams, although the talking part was quite interesting. He flung himself through the opening, landing somewhat hard on a wooden table. Stepping off of it, he pulled a Hershey bar out of his pants, and chewed thoughtfully on it.

"This isn't our world...." Xavia sighed, "Of course. What is this Gaia like then?"

I wonder if the gang will be all right. she thought, Hope they aren't trying to find me. That could prove challenging.

Trevor heard a bang at the end of the hallway. Peeping around Reves, he saw someone had landed on a wooden table. This certainly struck him as odd, but Trevor had no time to think about that matter. What was this Gaia world?

"Excuse me, Reves, but I think I shall head down, if you don't mind," stated Trevor while slipping past the bunny-man. He planned to speak with the manager about this situation and other important matters as well. While walking along the hall he passed the vodka-obsessed boy and a person eating a chocolate bar.

"They both seem to be reacting normally," he muttered quietly. "I wish I could have the same response as them." And so he continued his straight stroll along the hallway.

''What's going on, the emperor is naked?'' Javi asked. As soon as he was up to speed, he analyzed the situation. ''Hmm, Gaia then? Never heard of it. Mr. Reves, please explain this ''Gaia'' to us. I'm heavily armed, you see, armed to the teeth. Explain or die.'' He stared at his 23 mark, and got some M&M's from his pocket. ''Anybody want some chocolate?'' he asked.

((nah-uh Squirtles. No weapons for you. You won't be needing them right now)

Reves looked at the man with the weapons, mild annoyance on his face. He places the tray down and cracked his knuckles, walking toward him. He then lifts his hand and snaps his finger.

The weapons that once were held are now gone.

"Like I said. We don't allow weapons. We are a peaceful world here and we will keep as such. 'Earth' is a name you can call one's home world, 'Gaia' is another term. I prefer Gaia to the others because it feels more natural to me. Now...if you are hungry, you may leave to the dinning area. And yes, we are close to Summer."

He then steps aside to allow them through.
