Arena: A park[/format]
It's a beautiful sunny day (but not too hot!) at the park of indeterminate location. There are quite the number of people there chatting and generally having a good time, though the unusual insistence that the picnickers stay in these ridiculous huge plastic domes slightly dampens the mood. Exactly what did the park staff want with them? In the center of the domes is a wide open space, the prime picnic spot. Not far from the center of it is a large fountain, made from shining white marble and decorated with a nice Goldeen and Dragonair spout. This point seems to be the main area of focus for the park-goers, and there's much chatter when the referee arrives to the scene. She's the first of the five who'll be arriving to show up, and with a sigh, she sits down on the edge of the fountain, looking up at the Dragonair spout with something of a frown.
The first Trainer to arrive to the park is Totodile, who is quickly followed by Barubu and Timeline4All. They all join the referee, standing or sitting around the fountain while they wait for Lirris to arrive. He shows up not even a minute later, and the referee is surprised by their timeliness. Didn't everyone show up late to battles? Maybe that was just her, then. She kicks at the fountain for a moment, before standing and beckoning the Trainers to the center of the open area. All eyes in the large plastic domes turn to the five in the center of them all as the four Trainers arrange themselves into a rough rectangle and start to rifle through their Pokeballs.
The first to throw their Pokeball into the center of the rectangle is Barubu, who wastes no time in choosing. The Pokemon that forms from the red light of his Pokeball is quite the menacing looking Houndoom. Eric snarls as he fully appears from his Pokeball, looking around curiously at the lack of opponents. Lirris quickly remedies this, throwing a Pokeball of his own into the rectangle. The red light that bursts from it dances about in the air, before solidifying into a rather excited Pichu with a yellow orb around its neck. Spatz narrows its eyes at Eric and buzzes playfully, leaping from foot to foot with overflowing energy. Eric only rolls his eyes at the Pichu and snarls again. Totodile responds to the two Pokemon on the field with a bit of thought, before choose a Pokeball of her own and tossing it up in the air. The red light that rushes from it quickly forms a bipedal shape, and as it fades, reveals a calmly smiling Riolu. Anput looks about herself with a cool gaze and puts her fists up, barking a challenge to Eric across from her. Control of Dialga is the last to send out a Pokemon. His hand rests on a Pokeball as he looks about the three Pokemon already out, seeming to have already decided his representative. The Pokemon that forms from the light of his Pokeball is brown and rather round, and is revealed to be a Swinub as the light around it fades. Piggly shuts his eyes even tighter against the glare of the sun, and shakes his head in slight confusion. This place wasn't familiar. He was going to have a battle, right?
It seemed that everyone was ready. The referee takes a step away from the rectangle of Pokemon and raises her arms to get the battle started. To everyone's surprise, a faint cheer goes up around the Trainers. It seems to have started in the thick plastic domes, which now muffles the shouts of the audience. Maybe they were glad to see a battle in which they weren't under the threat of injury? Those were becoming rarer nowadays. With a sort of shrug, the referee waves and steps even further back. There wasn't going to be any attention on her, right? Everyone would be watching the battle. Hopefully.

Eric gets right into it, leaping in front of Spatz and baring all his teeth. Before Spatz can even react to this sudden movement, Eric opens his mouth and spits a jet of fire at him. Spatz yelps and throws his arms up to cover his face and grits his teeth against the intense heat. He could feel his fur start to burn and curl slightly at the tips, though just as suddenly as the fire started, it stops. Spatz looks up in surprise as Eric meets his gaze smugly, and walks a few feet away.
The other two Pokemon watch this with a critical eye, Anput with less interest than Piggly. She gets to work as Eric turns away, ripping up grass and clumps of dirt from the ground and forming them into a sort of humanoid shape. She raises both paws, which begin to glow with a light blue aura. The aura transfers from her paws to the dirt-shape, creating ears and a tail similar to hers, as well as a light blue tinge and two white glowing spots similar to eyes. Anput steps back to inspect her work, stepping forwards again to brush an awkward looking clump of dirt off the Substitute's head. She nods to it and it nods in return before turning around to face the other Pokemon.
Piggly locks eyes with Spatz, who seems to still be nursing his wounds and dignity. Well, if he was just going to sit there he'd take the opportunity to move instead. Piggly becomes completely still, and everyone looks around as the sky seems to become darker. Piggly takes on a blue-ish grey aura and all eyes turn to him, watching as the aura builds on his body to glow a bright blue. There's general murmuring from inside the plastic domes as a beam of blue light shoots up from Piggly into the sky, and disappears into the clouds. The aura around Piggly fades and it seems nothing's happened for a few moments. Then a tiny piece of ice falls from the sky, bouncing off Eric's snout and melting quickly with the Houndoom's body heat. All eyes turn to the sky as more hailstones begin to fall, bouncing off the plastic domes and Pokemon, and making a sound like a constant drumbeat.
Spatz is not pleased with the hail, it appears. While Piggly dances around happily, he begins a dance of his own, raising his hands high to the sky and making quick, flowing movements. The clouds appear to be responding to Spatz's dance, and the hail seems to stop falling for a few moments. Once again, all eyes turn upwards, and fat droplets of water begin to fall from the sky in the place of the hail. Piggly looks up dejectedly and sighs. He only got two or three moments of fun before Spatz had to go and ruin it. Eric doesn't seem to be too pleased with the rain, either. He whines up at the sky before turning his attention to Spatz. Rain was stupid.
..And rain led to stupid attempts at attacks, as well. Looking cautiously at the sky again, and back at Spatz, Eric nods and pushes out with his mind, creating a barely visible green shield around him that blocks even the rain from passing through. It's a bit unusual, seeing the Houndoom standing in the middle of the rain with an invisible barrier that kept him dry. Eric appears to have a strained look on his face from the effort of keeping the barrier up, though he seems to be handling it well.
Spatz doesn't let the barrier over Eric escape his notice. Instead of reacting to it, he turns his attention to Anput and raises his arms to the sky. Spatz begins to glow and spark slightly and there's a sharp crack of thunder overhead as he spreads his hands. Anput yelps as a yellow bolt of lightning falls from the clouds overhead, though her mud-Riolu jumps above her and takes the lightning bolt's energy in her place. The force of it sends the Substitute flying a few feet backwards with yet another loud crack of thunder. Spatz dances around happily as Anput watches her Substitute get to its feet with an inaudible groan, and can't help but giggle as she shoots him a death glare. Rain was fun.
Growling low in her throat, Anput rubs the mud off her arms the best that she can and clenches her fists. That was ridiculous just now. Did she really just get knocked off her feet by a tiny yellow thing? She'd do her best to make sure that didn't happen again, then. Anput clenches her fists tighter and concentrates, and a faint transparent aura become visible around her. The air around her shivers and layers of muscle appear to form on her arms and legs. The aura around Anput fades with a fizzle, and the Riolu is left catching her breath from the sudden exertion.
Piggly looks down in dismay as the rain falls around him and soaks his fur. Maybe he could use the rain to his advantage, though? Concentrating, a light blue aura forms around Piggly, not dissimilar to the one that called the hail down from the sky. The raindrops immediately around the Swinub shiver in the air and freeze as they touch or come close to the aura. Piggly shakes himself off and the blue aura explodes outwards, freezing the rain in a generally circular area around him. He sends the drops flying with a light breath, his opponents shouting as his tiny breath is suddenly magnified by a mysterious force. Spatz and Anput throw arms up in front of their faces to protect their eyes from the tiny shards of ice being whipped around by the freezing winds, though they leave the rest of their bodies unprotected. Anput's Substitute quickly jumps in the way of the attack once more, though the force of the winds is enough to rip huge chunks out of it. Eric seems to be doing fine under his green barrier, completely untouched by the ice and wind. He lets it fall as the wind and ice fade back into rain, and has to pause a while to catch his breath. Anput's mud-Riolu collapses all of a sudden as the wind dies down, and its creator looks down at it sadly.
There's no break for Piggly, though. As soon as his blizzard fades back into the rain, he inhales deeply and puffs up his cheeks. He whips around and spits a chunk of ice at Anput, who's still somewhat sore from the blizzard. She flinches away, though it embeds in her arm with a soft
thunk and quickly begins to melt while she looks on with a pained expression. It hadn't sunk in deep enough to draw blood, but it was still surprising. And painful.
Eric manages to regain his breath, and growls up at the grey clouds overhead, obscuring the sunlight. He's had enough of this rain. With a sharp bark, he claws at the sky and hops about on his hindquarters in an odd dance, motioning to the sky. While the other three Pokemon give him odd looks, Eric pays them no attention and continues his dance, ending with a sharp howl at the sky. The clouds respond almost immediately, melting away and parting to reveal the sun. It's Spatz's turn to look disappointed as his fun with rain comes to an end. The downpour of rain sputters to a stop as the clouds thin out, and Eric finds himself standing smugly in the sunlight, rather dry compared to the other three Pokemon.
Anput pays no attention to the sudden change in weather. Again. Instead she focuses on Piggly, who does seem to be paying attention, looking up at the sky uncomfortably. This sunlight was too hot for him. Couldn't they just have rain again? He's too busy looking up at the sky to notice Anput at his side, and she making a low sound in her throat to catch his attention. She moves to strike Piggly as he turns around to face her, and the Swinub gets a mouthful of paw for his troubles as Anput slaps him across the face. Piggly freezes up as he tumbles to the side with the force of Anput's blow, and gets to his feet shakily as Anput bounds away. He was not expecting that.
Spatz sighs up at the sky and turns his attention back to the ground. There was no point in fretting over things that already happened. He drops to all fours and begins to run circles around the other three Pokemon, pushing himself to the limit until he appears to become a blur. It's impossible to tell where Spatz really is, and the yellow blur running around the other Pokemon quickly fades into four distinct shapes. Four Pichus skid to a stop around the battling Pokemon, each mimicking the others' movements perfectly. The Spatzes make faces at their opponents. Good luck attacking now, they seemed to be saying.

Notes
-The picnickers are enjoying the bright sunlight (strong sunlight for 4 more actions). Though, it seems to be getting really warm inside those plastic domes.
-for reference, Light Ball only affects Pikachus so Spatz doesn't get a damage bonus.
-Blizzard's damage was split between three targets and then some, so I counted it as having 100 BP.
-Totodile commands first
-Lirris commands
-Baburu commands
-Control of Dialga commands
