So, I walked into school this morning to collect my A-level results, and my low expectations were met with correspondingly low grades: two Ds and a C. My heart sank, and I condemned myself to another year or two of college before I could get into uni.

So why the laughing cupboard?

I got into University. Turns out my offer was unconditional, and I gotr an e-mail confirming my academic position there. And, on the off chance there's been some mistake, my second choice has offered me a place too.

Plus, I'm heading off tonight for a weekend at bloodstock, the biggest and best metal festival in the UK. Opeth, Iced Earth, Dimmu Borgir, Helloween, Soilwork, Nightwish, Overkill, and more.

Today fucking rocks.

Congratulations! That's seriously awesome. And hey, two Ds and a C aren't that bad. It's a shame if you know you can do better, but as grades they're nothing to be ashamed of at all.

I got into Kent ^_^
I realized yesterday that I should've applied for accommodation last month, though, so I'm grovelling with the accommodations office to let me have a place in halls.

Three Cs in the end. I messed up my Philosophy and Ethics synoptic (I got an E ;; - but so did most other people I spoke to), which brought my grade waaay down, but I'm pleased with the Biology grade :D
