An RP that tricks you and the game is quite free and you work stuff out for yourself without getting boring like say, another code or The World Ends with You
 
I prefer RPs that I get to be some kind of creature that is not human. So Pokemon, animals, fantasy creatures (dragons and the like) are good.

You must be mistaken. We're not discussing roleplaying games, we're discussing roleplays. Different things.
 
Before joining an RP, I take a look at the plot. I only really will one it if it has original ideas, a well-planned plot and something somewhat exciting.

This is why I don't join many RPs, unfortunately.
 
^I agree completely. I'm still looking for a good one really worth my time. I might start my own if I don't find one.
 
Hmm... On that subject, I seem to place higher standards on non-Pokemon RPs than Pokemon RPs. But that's most likely because most of my RPing online is accomplished on Pokemon-centric forums.

She was in High Elves in Space but that didn't take off for some retarded reason. It had so much potential. ;-;

In other news, I probably won't join any Pokemon RP. Maybe if you come up with some amazing one, but... it'd have to be damn good.

I'm mostly into high fantasy-ish kind of stuff (and Final Fantasy/DnD roleplays) and ... science fiction on the rare occasion. Not often.

I've done good role plays where everyone's a normal human living on our own normal Earth. They can be interesting, but you gotta come up with really good stuff. Example: Role playing as a student in school - usually not fun.
