• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Closed X: The step into other worlds

"I'll be fine." Rhythm said, leaning back in his chair. He looked tired, almost as if he was ready to pass out any second.
"Same goes for me." Raiquen said, watching Rhythm carefully.

As the rest of them sat down and Acacia brought out Spirit's lemonade, Zora glanced at Rhythm.
"You look tired."
Darkness was busy staring out the window expectantly, and as soon as Hera caught sight she groaned.
"I know what you're waiting obsessively for."
"So?"

"I am. Very." Rhythm sighed, his eyes closed. He blinked, then messed up his hair passionately.
"Ah. Much better." He muttered, leaning back in his chair as Raith floated in and saw Darkness at the window.
"Aidan's rushing here. Testing out the directions and maybe staying for a bit." Raith said. He then turned to Acacia.
"How will we know which rooms we'll be staying in?"

"Well that's quite simple. I've left some notes on the door for you. Just look for your name on the note and if it's there that room is yours." Acacia replied, taking up the empty chair next to Zora, who turned to face her.
"I can't thank you enough for doing this for us."
"Really, it's no problem."
Darkness looked up at Raith with a wide grin.
"You're serious?"

Raith nodded, both acknowledging Acacia and responding to Darkness.
"Yes, I am quite serious. He should be here within a few minutes now."
Raiquen jumped at the sound of Rhythm's sharp intake of breath, and he turned immediately towards him, only to find the winged teenager fast asleep.

Darkness squealed with delight.
"Oh yay~!"
"Oh give me a break." Hera groaned.
Zora jumped upon hearing Rhythm's intake of breath, but soon realized it was him and readjusted in her seat.
"Oh. Only him..."

Raith facepalmed when Darkness squealed.
"That...was just not natural." He muttered, floating through the hallway to find his room. Meanwhile, Raiquen kept patting Rhythm's head to see if he would wake up. He stirred a couple of times, but stayed fast asleep.

Hera snickered.
"At least someone agrees."
"Shut up before I hurt you." Darkness muttered, although she DID giggle a bit herself at that.
Zora glared at Raiquen.
"Will you STOP doing that?! I'm sorry, but it just bugs me."

Raith shook his head in embarrassment.
"Yes, just watch out the window for Aidan, he'll be here any second." He muttered, floating around the room aimlessly. Not long after, there was a knock on the door.
"Ah yes, that'll be him."

Jax pounded on the door, Deax and Sephii behind her.

"Open the door." she wailed, "Oh, Starlight, did you show Acacia Fairwind?"

"Yeah, yeah, shut up you annoying little... I'm not going to finish that, but stop crowding him!!" Darkness barked, going over to open the door. At least he was here.
"Darkness, Darkness, Darkness..." Zora mused to herself as she shook her head.

"Oh man, this is going to be hectic..." Aidan muttered.
"All our friends jampacked into one big house. I hope we survive..." Melody moaned as the door finally opened.

Darkness glanced down at the sleeping girl at her feet, then shrugged and looked up at Aidan with a wide grin.
"Hello."
"Oh dear lord..." Cyndra groaned. She had been watching this from behind them all.

Aidan and Melody stepped over the sleeping Jax on their way in, and Aidan slid over to Darkness' side while Melody looked over all of them before sitting in an empty seat.
"Isn't this a bit extreme? Having everyone in one house?"

"Oh no no." a voice said from behind her, revealing itself as Acacia, "I have enough room."
"Is true." Zora agreed, "I've stayed here before. The place is bigger than it looks."
Darkness, meanwhile, was still grinning at Aidan like a young schoolgirl.

Melody jumped in shock as Acacia spoke, but regained her sanity quickly.
"Alright, if you insist..." she muttered, still looking doubtful.
"Missed me?" Aidan asked, directing the question at Darkness.

Darkness nodded.
"Yes, I missed you very much."
Zora glanced down at her sister and groaned.
"She's hopeless."
"Can't be worse than you." Cyndra noted, receiving a swift smack to the head.

Raith, who had just come back from his room, glided in to hear all this. Without any sign of emotion, he floated over to Raiquen.
"Cyndra's being quite honest, from what I've seen." Raith whispered in his ear. Raiquen snickered, but said nothing.
"Why don't we have a seat? I'm hurting from getting over here so quickly." Aidan said, and without waiting for a response, collapsed onto a chair.

Darkness blinked, but said nothing and quickly sat down in the seat next to him.
"You look exhausted, you poor thing."
"Well I'm going to check out the room I'll be staying in." Cyndra muttered, standing up and stretching before walking down the hallway to search for the room. This was much to Zora and Darkness's relief of course, they could only take so much of their sister's "honesty".
